Anyone have a good strategy for defeating the last boss for Hunterside story mode?

Which one, Pollux or Anpram Umbra?

Pollux I'd bring as many defense cards as possible into the battle, Weakness is great for this, especially after turn 8. Use high cost weapons with high AP or techs and low cost weapons with high TP. Rely on 1 attack a turn with an assault or Spirit Boost to do your damage. She goes down easily enough.

This strategy hurts you on Anpram though, since you'll get thwacked with high cost enemies. Here I'd play the run away game every time one gets near, and wait for a meteor to take the enemy out for you, while dealing as much damage as possible to him. The high number of defense cards here will help defend against the constant earthquakes you face.

For the first boss, when I want a quick and easy win I throw together a deck with 2-3 AP weapons, get 4 of them out, and the rest defense cards, and Action cards... Really need to remember Action card names ^_^ I use 3x the Random AP one (it's 2 AP to use), and the one that uses your remaining dice AP to attack as well. With a decent hand, you can deal a good 15 - 20 dmg a turn to her, even she she is using defense cards, or lowering your AP.

The same works on the Anapram too. I just run right up to it, and start smacking it as much as possible. Usually before it's summoned monsters get to me, I've already killed it. ^_^ You're a bit screwed if it starts summoning alot of Guard Creatures, like Epsilon, or a Baranz, then you have to kill those before finishing Anapram... Also, if you get him below 10HP, and your turn ends, he WILL heal for something like 13HP. So make sure when you're ready to deal the final blow that turn, you do enough damage to take him down from whatever his HP is, to 0, or he'll heal on you.

Im talking about the first boss. I had her down to 1 HP and then 3 HP. Then she gets the final blow. Grr. lol

5 HP or under at the beginning of it's turn, it will heal 15 HP. And in the case of Epsilon, just wait until Amplam uses Meteor, which allows you to finish off the poor machine in one hit.

Sorry, that response was to the post above yours, should have claeified.

But anyway, yeah, follow the strategu outlined by me above, I've used it 4 times so far, and actually have the deck sitting there just for the poor girl, unused other than that. Sil'fer with a Cross Scar and a Mag works pretty well, or else use the Genbu/another weapon combo, and a ton of action cards, and you should be ok.
