I NEED SOMEBODY ON EP 3 TO RECORD THIS, LIKE I NEED FOOD!

I'm in the final, I work for a UK magazine and I wanted a bit of coverage, and my TV card blew up today AND I can't get a new one in time.

In game camera shots with the second mem card aren't good enough. The TV card through RF (which still works, fuck my luck) it not even slightly good enough. I lost my S-video/video compatibility, the chip has blown.

Saladwood, are you there? You have the same TV card as me. If you are not currently with a HL, I'll pay for it. That goes for anyone else who can help, I'll pay for your HLs for the next month, which will work out cheaper than buying 20 backup mem cards anyway.

I have a TV tuner card. I can record movies too, but I'm not too sure how good they will be.
You can see some samples of my pictures on the site below. It's through composite, not S-video which kind of sucks I know -.-

Sorry for the double post but since I'm blocked, I can't sign in properly. So don't send me any private messages. If you want to discuss this I will PM you with my MSN address if you want (unless it's in my profile).

Hi,

Your TV input via video is better than mine was, I did use S-video but mainly because my American standard card was HORRIBLE through PAL-60 video.

If you can meet me online tomorrow before 9 am I'd be really grateful because this is my only chance now.

Are you online now? Do you have broadband and can be on both at same time? I made a quick movie but I can't get sound ><. And the program I use doesn't record full frame height AND width -.-.

I've just made a 320x240 movie thats 9 seconds long and 52MB in size :S. Maybe if I can turn sound off, (it seems to be recording silence) I can bring the size down a lot.

what time does the tournament start tomorrow, UK time?

if its a reasonable time, which i doubt it is, i may just have enough time to go buy a video card from PC World http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif i need a new one, preferably with TV out as well to maximise the usefulness of my projector.
Tell me if i have a realistic chance of being able to get one in time. and i need reccomendations for a TV card that i could get from PC world. no ATI sadly, although many of you would probably like that anyway http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

so reccommend me away, im all ears!!!

Yet again, sorry for the double post.

For Zane: http://www.pcworld.co.uk they have a store locator which gives opening times. Seems to be 11 opening on Sundays.... http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

i do know where my nearest PC world is, otherwise i wouldnt be as cool headed as i am.......

i could try robbing them http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_confused.gif

i know ive looked there before, but PC World have a shit range. i seriously want to steer clear of hauppage, my current one is hauppage, and doesnt display my GC correctly at 60hz, and the image is kinda poo(ish) as well. so something new would probably be good. if someone could look here (http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/store/pcw_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@1843320439.107438134 3@@@@&BV_EngineID=cccfadckfjlghfgcflgceggdhhmdfho.0&category_oid=-9958&category_name=%2fDSG%2f03.+Upgrades%2fTV+%26+Video +Cards%2fTV+Cards&page=ProductList&show_all=true) and say which of the (non hauppage ones preferrably) tv cards is the best. i have money to burn so dont worru too much about price. well its PC world, so most of it is quite cheap (=crap)

oh well, still looking for reccomendations :S

What software are you using to record? The software that came with my TV tuner, doesn't support 60Hz. So I have to use something else, but the recording isn't too good ><.

Yet again, I am very sorry for the double posting.

I will go online at about 7 o'clock. I've got choice search turned on if you can't find me. Or if you find Malk or Malit Lit, I know they have my card to try and find me. That or come on MSN henderson_luke@hotmail.com

I've found out how to record sound (stupid mute button in seperate control panel hidden away from me -.-). I can only record movies in avi and not mpeg. I've got various codecs, but DivX 5.0 seems to have the better compression and picture quality compared to the others I have (indeo, cinepak, some others). I can't take pictures at the same time though. So it's up to you. Just reply here and tell me what you want me to do.

Oh. And good luck. You're representing all the English speaking people on Ep3. No pressure http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif ehhehe. Go get em!
