Split slimes?

In the news theres a suggestion about splitting slimes until you get a red one. But in my experience you can only split up to four. And I missing something?

Slimes split a limited amount of times. Four sounds about right. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_razz.gif It just increases the chance of getting a red slime. It worked once for me, although I missed getting the Flame visit.....*sigh*

Use the TP back to P2 trick. Split the slimes as much as you can, then warp back to P2 and start all over again. I haven't seen any Poilly Slimes doing this yet, but many people have said it works. Let's hope they're being honest.

I heard about this a long time ago (splitting slimes to get the red one) and been doing this ever since. I have to say that this does work, but it takes a lot of time and patience. With this method, I saw my first and only Pofuilly Slime.
