Not that it's top colors are Blue and Purple and it's uses quickly fall into near-nothingness. Otherwise, yeah, it blocks pretty much anything.

The same could be said for cancel. But I've seen cancel used for techs as well. Or some attacks that have only had red as the colour at the top. And with +99 HP, it blocks anything, and it blocks the damage and effects you get from Action cards it says. A must for any deck.

For some reason, some defence cards can be used, even if the colour at the top is not the same. How many cards have a blue/green bar across the top? Not many...

Odd. If the card can be used against a different resist color than listed, it's a pure and simple glitch/graphical error on STs part, one of the two. Either the programmers put in the wrong Resist colors, making it able to resist more than shown on the card, or the card's picture doesn't display what was meant to be there.

Not having any Cancels, I can't comment, but it shouldn't work that way... I'd expect a patch in the future.

What do the colors at top mean?

It's the type of attack. If you want to use a defence card, it must have the same colour at the top as the attacking card.

For example, You can't use guard to block tech attacks. You can use dodge though because it has a yellow bar at the top. Most cards are red though, which means physical.

I'm not too sure on some of these colours but

Red = Physical attack
Yellow = Technique
Green = Affects enemy weapon in some way (status effects)
Orange = Pierce attack.

Not sure about blue or purple. I've seen purple on the <insert status effect> Killer. And blue on half attack. Couldn't give them a class group though.
