Couldn't this also like, be used to dupe?
Not that I would... no really, I hate cheaters.
But... Couldn't it?

It could dupe, and does, but I think most people use it to restore in case of corruption.
At least I hope so...

I know I would.
In fact, after my first corruption, I am buying a new card specifically for it.
The only thing I might dupe are baby mags...
wait....
lol
GC version... don't have too
BWAHAHAHAH!!

It doesn't double save offline now does it? Only way I know the Memory card gets corrupted offline is if you turn the game off during saving. That corrupts it big time. Trust me I know, I lost all my characters that way. Had to restart with new ones. Oh well. There goes all my Varistas. >_>

No doublesave; but cards can become corrupted another way.
I was in multi-offline raising mags with two characters (one from each memory card). The power flickered (Blackout 2003), I turned the Cube back on, and it said both cards were corrupted (I somehow managed to find a way around it that I have since forgotten).

Save yourself the hassle and trouble of a USB card and just get a second Nintendo card and designate that as the online-only card. Either way you're gonna have to start a new character when you get a new card to go online. Just don't give your chars on that online card anything you are afraid of losing. Problem solved.

if you have a bba, you can use a tool to back up your mem cards for free.
My LORD, I can NOT believe this! This is ridiculous! I just got back from a trip to the Netherlands and my file is corrupt! There goes my charas.. ?_?...
...Anyways, like Java said, get another Mem card. It should be no prob... tho I personally got mine corrupted. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

i'm still unsure about how it happened. I know I'm only going to be on-line in a not so crouded room. I heared it decreases the chanses of FSOD.
