I suggest silk, compared to the nasty chaffing that canvas tends to leave... Those silk Hawaiian shirts are pretty darn comfy during the summer.

I hear COX also suffers badly from the cold.
Your bandwith just decreases immensely. There's nothing worse than having both a small sack and COX.
