I just went to renew my PSO account, and it told me that I have to be 18 or older, so I should go get my parent/guardian. Well, them being there won't really help, and there's no place to change the birthdate, so I can't renew. I've tried calling two Sega help numbers, but one didn't get answered at all and the other said that they only worked Monday-Friday. Has anyone had this problem, and if so, what did they do to fix it? I really don't want to buy PSO again to play it online.

where in the world are you?
theres different laws regarding what you can and cant do at certain ages in different countries.
If its the UK, you cant use a credit card if your under 18, however you should be able to use a solo card, which the EU payment site acepts.
the number for sega is 0845 609 090 and this is only operational during office hours (mon-fri 9am-5:30pm)
if its still playing up, try and get round it somehow, by saying your over 18, or your your parents.

Problem solved. If anyone else has this problem, here's what you do.

1) Give Sega a call. I found this number on the forums, it worked really well for me. 1-800-545-6912

2) Ask Sega if they are able to change your date of birth to be 18 or older. They are presently updating their system so they can do this.

3) If they can't change your date of birth, ask them to manually renew your account. This will let you play PSO until they update their system, at which point you can get a permanent solution.

I hope this helps someone out there.

It Happened to me... the birthdate thing...

It said I was born in Oct of 1950...

I'm not that old!

However I gave SEGA a call to let them know what was up. This was when I found out you can't put dashes in the phone numbers you set up on your billing info.
