Strange Rumours on Xbox PSO

I was online the other night and heard a few strange things floating around the lobbies and games. I was talking to a couple of guys and one of them had apparantly changed his character name. I was very intrigued because i've seen him online before and his character did indeed have a different name...

Now obviously any sane person is not going to try this but i was wondering if this was an old rumour or a new one.

I also had some guy coming into my game and trying to convince me that you can make your character Lv 200 by starting an offline battle game!!

ok this is what u do... When it goes to the screen about the hunters licnse press agree and then count to 1...2...3..3 and 1/2 then pull out your ethernet cord and just wait like 1-3 minutes and it should say"your characters name cannot be connected to xbox live please change it". Go to your character selection and pick your character and it should say change name and walaa! change your name but btw it wont change your section i.d.

It's true and 100% safe.

The level 200 trick is a cheat though.

By the way... STOP MAKING THESE DAMNED POSTS ABOUT NAME CHANGING... CAN'T YOU READ!? There is another post like this on this very page... Geez.

I'm guessing by how you labeled the offline battle thing a "cheat" that it is a legitimate way to get to level 200.

I'm gonna have to try it out and see if anybody believes that I made it that high. Heh, of course it would be with a brand new character that I'd never use ever again! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

And the name changing, I think its senseless to change it. If you thought it was funny or clever to name a character something "clever" and "obscene" and are starting to regret it... too bad. Take the items, dump them onto another character and recreate.
