Why aren't I the new mod?

I would like an expediant answer please, as to why the people's choice is being ignored without so much as an explantation.

well spy, im prety good freinds with all the mods and your name has come up in our conversation a few times... I can tell you this. Someone up their who is incharge of everyhing *god?* didnt want you to be mod and layed a big flat NO across the board. Im not sure if the other mods had a say in this but i dont see why they wouldnt..

I'm trying to make some sense out of your post, you know the way you put wrong words in it and misspellings . . but I seem to have gotten it.

And none of my posts are the same, I believe the only posts I have where I've been arrogant, and thus it has been jokingly, are the latest posts regarding clans. The majority of my posts are usually very knowledgable as well as my news article submissions.

And, yes, I am very civil to people . . If you've played with me or chatted with me on IRC or AIM, you'd see that I am a very nice person. I usually get along with others just fine, it just annoys me when I see people like you and Spy complaining over nothing. You two, well mostly Spy, always seem to try to get in the spotlight over every little thing on these boards and start some sort of controversy.

Anyways, just my thoughts. Attacking me like a third grader really didn't help make yourself look any better. I apologize to you both.

Actually Doomstalk, I really have nothing to lose by being banned. I've allready learned enough about PSO from this site, wasted a bunch of sleepless nights, made some people laugh, and hell, even made a couple of friends.

I may be putting my foot in my mouth, but I doubt I will be banned. What would you think if you saw the biggest public criticizer of this site suddenly get banned for really no apparent reason at all, other than demanding that a question be answered?

I don't make it a point to attack people for their opinions or beliefs (and that includes people whose beliefs are different from yours or from my own).

I do not take the moral high ground and use that as a basis for persecuting others on the forums.

I do not consider myself conceited, elite, or superior to anyone.

I do not continuously post the same things over and over in an attempt to make everyone see the way I see. In fact, I am very un-opinionated on PSO subjects. But, that is a good thing.

An effective moderator stands in the middle and allows people to communicate without fear of being attacked. He does not try to influence the conversation; he just ensures that it does not deviate into a flamewar.

Ideally, mods do not force their ideas and beliefs on others.

When I look at myself, I know that I can do that, fairly and responsibly. However, after reading your last 715 posts, I can't imagine that you would be able to say the same.

I was asked what I thought about you being a mod, and these were the same responses I had about you then. I don't think you can fairly judiciate something that you take so personally. You said you wanted to hear it, so there it is. But that certainly does not mean I will hold that against you or unfairly 'moderate' any posting you do in the future. You are entitled to your opinion and I respect that, even if you choose not to respect me or the other staff members at PSOW
