I've seen this term used around to discribe weapons but what does it mean? And why is it a 'good' thing?

You know those weapons you pick up that arein blue text and usually have '?' in the name. The ones you have to take to that weird looking guy in the shops in order to find out exactly what it is. Those weapons, when you just leave them as is (without finding out what they are), are called untekked weapons.

Except in a few cases, leaving a weapon untekked has no advantages. Most of the time, if you are going to use the weapon, tech it. Also, some people leave weapons untekked as proof of legitimacy.

Ahh thanks for the info (didn't know why not teking them was so important). I don't play on line, but still niec to know what I'm reading.

Yep.
My Ruby Bullet's still untekked until I get a screenshot of it.
Oh, and if you leave sometihng untekked, (light blue font)
it will have raw percentages. If you go tekk it, the variable will change. Anywhere from
-10%
-5%
0%
+5%
+10%
Just keep tekking it, you'll eventually get a +10%
It only costs 100 meseta. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Oh, and this isn't only for SPECIAL WEAPONS.
Same thing for those ???? Mechguns, etc

that's another question I had. How do you take screen shots of your GC and post them on the web? (Is there a faq some where?)

If you have US GC PSO, moving the pictures to your computer is another story. I have yet to actually get a mem card with enough blocks to take photos, so I don't know the in and outs of taking screens. Someone else is bound to know though.

Actually, the thingy saves to the memory card in Slot B http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

To send pictures:
- get a second memory card in slot B with lots of space
- go into options->snapshot and make a snapshot file on said card
-take a picture in-game

Then, download a program called PSOProxy. Set your Gc's proxy server to the IP address of your PC (you have to have a network). go to the "website" which will be the PSO proxy site on your PC. upload the pic! ^_^

Pretty much all correct except for the network part. You don't actually have to have a network set up to use PSO proxy. I've been able to use PSO Proxy using a simple hub that merely splits the connection. Once PSO Proxy is running on your machine, pretty much anyone can use it provided they have your IP Address. Meaning I could run PSO Proxy on my pc and have a friend set his proxy info to my IP and port number (8080 by default on PSO Proxy) and use the PSO Proxy running on my machine. The pic would would be saved as a .png file on my machine and I would have to email him the pic.
