View Full Version : A right to be angry...!

I'd like to preface this post as a possible dead horse, but I am very angry right now. Who here has ever gotten lobby fsoded and caught the idiot that did it to you? I did tonight in antares 8. He was named FSOD, and when I entered safely, he kept spamming my name. Then I started yelling at him, as I would cause I do have a right to be extremely angry. He did something that adversely affected my character (which is my pet peeve in online gaming). I lost the general fare along with HPmats I couldnt bank as I was gonna transfer them to my other char right after I logged out. But what am I gonna do? Usually it just happens, and I accept it. But when I catch who does it, my blood boils. This can also be taken as a general warning that a character named FSOD is doing what his name implies in ant 8-1. If you see him, give him a good earfull or anyone who lobby fsods. It is devastating. Whoever FSOD is, I have my eye out for them.

ps: Mods, sorry for the potential flame if FSOD is a member on these forums. FSOD is never a good thing, and when I catch the ppl who do it to me I get quite angry.

Hmmm, if you suffer FSOD, try and do this. Go to offline multiplayer mode. Your items will have not been lost at that time. Go to the bank and bank or give to you second character. Then quit and save. And then go online, youll see you will have maintained all of you hp mats and other items.

Ive have suffered FSOD countless times, and the last two times I used the advice above, and it has worked. Now BSOD, I dont know if anything can be done. I havent BSOD yet...

*BSOD* that just give me the willies! LoL! Anyways I saw that person too this morning but he/she didn't FSOD me. *phew* But the only best way to avoid it is to try to take less SUPA BIG rares with you. Try to only take the ones you will need for this run/quest and deposit the rest in your bank. It's what I do, I only carry 4 are weps around! YAY! Four? You shouldn't carry ANY unequipped weapons around as you're moving from lobby to room and vice versa. Just bank all your unequipped weapons and such before you're about to leave a room or disconnect.

If I were you, I would have dound them and FSOD'd him right back. It's not like that person deserves to live, let alone play PSO. Of course, I believe the same should be done to spammers.

As for BSOD, my GC is a piece of crap, so I deal with it frequently. There are a few different kinds of bsod, and a different method for defeating each one (note: one bsod is unstoppable)
1. Cannot read the disc= open and close the lid and it should continue where you left off (frequently happens when in piping sequence)
2. Normal error message while in game, you can still here the music, all you can do is try to go through the menu's to quit/save without being able to see the screen
3. Normal error message, no music, I hit the right side of my GC fairly hard and the reader gets unstuck and I can continue playing
4. This one is unstoppable (so far) but I am working on it.
Hope that helps people.

I only didn't do this once, and I was thinking, "Well, I need to get out of here quickly. What could possibley happen? http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif"

Whoah! I'm glad I didn't test my luck with the Red Partisan unequipped! I'd much rather have lost what I lost (Twin Brand) over my Red Partisan!

And I tried going into Multiplayer and for some reaosn it still said the item data etc. was deleted. Bah!

You could always join us FKLers on Altair 4! No FSOD's there. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_yes.gif

Does these solutions apply to the Xbox version?

I would assume so, as long as the description of the BSOD is the same as what I said. Though for x-box, your probably better off cutting your losses and let the BS through. I wouldn't want you to get corrupted or anything. Unless of course the BSOD will corrupt you, then try everything, you have nothing to lose. But this "BSOD guide" does work for GC definitely.

And PaleKid, try to hold back on your statements, you are no person to decide who deserves to live or not.

I guess it wasn't too obvious, but I wasn't serious about them deserving to die. However, they do deserve an FSOD. BTW-look at my sig.
