Did you say the you got this from an official site? Because when I first saw this I was thinking it was a fake. The quality doesn't appear to be best and there's just something about the image (not sure if it's quality, shading, rough edges, or something else) that makes it seem photoshopped. Well, if it is real, maybe it has something to do with this new quest that ties EP1&2 to EP3. Otherwise... I have no clue who she is.

the Texturing looks pretty fake and implanted (slightly pixelated..). I could also be a quest where the principal is out for some reason and she is standing in.....
Edit: lol kept using the wrong tag

No, look. The principle is standing there on the right. The girl is where the scientists(?) should be (unless everything is shifted to the right one place).

But, in official ST preview pic's, which this is supposed to be, unless 4 people hacked a new quest. the team is ALWAYS (to my knowledge) SONIC, TAILS, KNUCKLES, and AMY (unless of cource ELLY or someone is in the party).
So 1 more vote for fake. But I gotta admit, its good (not great) quality fake. If it's real; then it's low-quality and in an unpresidented format.
EDIT: Saw all your posts... lol

*Drools.* Oh how I wish the GC version could have hot keys. It would make life so much easier. This alone makes me raise an eyebrow toward the PC version, but I'm not so sure I'd want to start all over again. >.<

The PC version simply has a broader language compatibility. The team members in the screenshot here (http://sega.jp/pc/pso/support/html/aa1.html) may have names in katakana, but they still say Sonic (SONIKU), Knuckles (NAKKURUZU), Amy (EMI-), and Tails (TEIRUSU). The screenshot here (http://sega.jp/pc/pso/support/html/12_01.html) is obviously early production, as the characters lack real time shadows. The names on that one read Chris (KURISU), Sonic (SONIKU), and Tails (TEIRUSU).
Wouldn't it be cool if the PC version had a modeler and skinner included, where you could edit your own character appearances and upload them? Gee, that'd be nice... Then again, I can't imagine how many nekkid cat-girl characters would be running around. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

it says on the site under the pic that a new character will be introduced in the principal's room, and that a new adventure will be started through that character.
also says that existing characters will look appear more beautiful (with higher res and better textures etc).

But... but... what's wrong with nekkid catgirls?
I mean, Nei wasn't exactly overly clothed either? (well, a lot more than the catgrils in FF11 but still...)

Ooh she's soo kawaaiii!!
The first thing I'm gonna do in march is look if I can make a character just like her!
Is that a Hunter or a Ranger body?
At the scientist booth? Looks like she's cute and intelligent http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

About the hotkeys...
I think the R+Y menu is better. With practice is like a fighting game. R+Y, up, up, A. very intuitive and fast. Have the actions apread all around the keyboard has never been my thing. Is easier to do mistakes if you don't look down to the KB. And anyways I always prefer the gaming console style before keyboard hotkeys.

I guess it depends on what you're used to. Personally I totally prefer hot keys and it soon becomes second nature, but then again I've always been mostly a PC gamer as I think that most PC games offer alot more depth than their console brothers and sisters lol. I can't even imagine trying to play something like D2 with a console controller. However for PSO PC, I found that I needed to use a controller and not the mouse, keyboard setup. But using a controller WITH the keyboard for hotkeys will ROCK!!! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

i totally agree with malk
Wait, a new adventure through that npc??? Does that mean new areas, new monsters?? A story line seperate from ep 1 & 2? Maybe a lead up to the new PS series that is secretly hiding from us?

Actually getting a PC controller and mapping the buttons to the hotkeys (numbers) would rock.
I got a PS2 to USB adaptor that really rocks. But I'm not starting PSO over.

I'm thinking that they may include Episode 3 in the same package, and she's the person that takes you there.
Either that, or it'll be a series of quests that set the scene for Episode 3. Which would suggest to me that the data for that character is probably on the disc for the GC and Xbox versions, just waiting for a quest to unlock her.

I doubt they would include ep 3, if they did, marketing logic would dictate that they would advertise the hell out of that and jack up the price.
I also doubt there will be completely new levels for the same reason. If ST can profit from advertising they will.
I think thought= she's there because there might be PC exclusive quests and content.
