Playing PSO for the past 4 years is NOTHING compared to this.
Never has it been so fun and challenging to play this game....the only problem is, starting out has been very, very difficult for me. I dunno if it's just my cards, or my lack of experience, but no matter who my opponent is....someone online or a computer, I usually lose! Is it my lack of experience, or do good cards make the game easier? I'm having some serious troubles here! u_u

there's a learning curve to this game. play more, and learn from people while you get better cards. consult some members here for strategies. shima, silver, lit, zane, malkavian, arislan, all the others can give you good pointers.
you might also want to read these over

Thanks, Lolita. Maybe I just need to play for a month and pray that the godliness of my PSO past will return to me. But with the amount of godly players out there right now, I doubt I can ever compare.
Oh well, I can at least try. Thanks again, and if anyone could give me some basic pointers....PM me, please? (I prefer a deck with Ino'lis, but I only have a few of the basic techs...yuck!) n_n;;
Thanks again, Lolita. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

Play to have fun and not to be the best. That way you'll enjoy the game more and will be less stressed out. Find some good friends to play with. Experiment with decks and proof them with friends. Watch tournaments for good strategies.

Eh....maybe playing to be "better" is what's making me play so bad.
You're right. I can play with my friends and focus more on the fun aspect than the idea of being the best.. (although I do envy those who level up so so fast...)
Maybe if I focus on the fun, I'll get better in the process! One can only hope...

If you want to team up with me in a tourney, LMK because covering the new players with my defense strategies has been fun and informative to them. Note I can't guarantee 100% wins because we don't have tailored team decks, but that's the point. To give the other team a chance, they get 40-50exp if they beat me.
Note some nasty people have accused certain newer players of leeching off me, but of course they only get like that if they lose. Yesterday I went in a tourney with an importer team in it, they were up against 2 newbies in the first round so I stuck myself and the new player I was teaming with in the slot underneath against the COM. What happened was totally unexpected, the newer players won, and then came up against my team. They then lost, called a certain card I use to high effect "ghey", said I could not win without it (true, but only for that specific deck as it's the key card in it) and cussed out my teammate for leeching off me. But they just beat a team of TWO importers!

Well, Ino'lis is great for starters!!!
It was my 1st char too. Until I learned a bit how the game worked ad unlocked the chars I liked.

I like using fo's the most, but like you I only have the basic techs, except for 1 gibarta that someone gave me. it is really hard though. I need to get some protection cards to defend against techniques, because the dodge card just isn't doing it. +2 hp won't save my equipment from most tech attacks.

Maybe it's just your stradegy skills.I suggest playing more games like Empire Earth and Rise of Nations. If you want teamwork play the trial of toontown.Besides I WANT to lose.Who wants to owned by a Clv 1 with the best cards beating 1337 players?

I win most games I play, but then again I use a cheap Kyria deck while everyone else is struggling with Arkz -_-

I know it's hard, but I sorta lack 'real' strategy. Like for instance, going through the game getting to know how it is played without going through tutorial. I'm just here to have fun and collect cards... btw, if you lose, do you lose cards?

The main reason why I chose to use Ino'lis is because I have a fan thing for FOmarls, since they're one of the most underappreciated classes, and my favorite.
Second of all...um...maybe I do just have a horrible strategy. I focus on techs though, with a high number of Attack Action cards. Yet I still seem to lose nearly every time. I dunno...if you want to try to help me out, I'm usually found wandering aimlessly in a one-player game or in lobbies on Altair 5. =/

Nope, no cards are lost.
Most you can lose is time and EXP.
Or dignity, if that's your sort of thing. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I'm too lazy to go through tutorial mode.
