Ok, like I said... I've been working on what the characters from my fics are like during Episode 3. I started a sketch of Outrider the other night, and tonight I colored it in and added effects. There are a few things I'm not so sure about, meaning I might change this, which is why it is a "work in progress"! For now, here's Episode 3 version Outrider with his Sange and Yasha. Three versions - "Pencils", Colored and Effects.

EDIT: Added grey hair at the temples and the part in his hair. Better?

Nice stubbles. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif
He does look a tad older. But he might need some grey's I'll say. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Grar! *eats Navi*

I've been trying. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif I mean, he's only 41... not everyone goes grey at 41. Everytime I tried adding grey, it just didn't look right. His locks of hair are covering where there would be grey hair at his temples.

As long as it isn't only the third eye....
Looks good, Outrider. It seems done if you ask me.

apparently you haven't heard of hair dye.

Anyways, good job, though he looks a bit funny.

Hey, pretty good job there! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif I love his pose. Just curious, but what program are you using to make this? If it's possible, you might try using the path tool to make lines, as the mouse ends up producing fairly shakey lines. I'm sure that Photoshop and Illustrator have this option, and PSP might. But then, if you're using MS Paint, nevermind. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif *stabs Paint to death* Anyway, the pic looks nice to begin with, but I thought it might be cooler if it were a tidge more polished. ^o^

I'm using Paintshop Pro, and I honestly have no idea about most of the tools. When I discoverd the color-replacer tool, it was like a God-send. I'm at home now, but when I get back to school, I'll check the program for some sort of trace tool or whatever it's called.

What I really wanted to do with this image was color it using layers and stuff... but of course, I can't figure out how they work. (I'm not sure, but I think it's not entirely different from something on Photoshop.)

But thanks for the comments everyone. Keep 'em coming!

Yup. It's Kuda's nose smeared on his fist. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Heh, no, it's actually just an attempt to show that the new grittier, darker version of Outrider isn't below getting his hands dirty by simply slugging a monster. So yah, blood. (It started as red, then I remembered the monsters have purple blood... don't they?)
