Howdy. Awhile back, either Robo or Sord or someone else hinted at me showing my original stuff on here as well a pso related stuff. Well, I'll post everything I've got on this computer here.

Periodically, of course.

From penciled sketches, to pen...penned....uh...penned? Well, either stuff drawn with pencils, pen, or whatever will be on here, so it's all different and wow. So go tell your friends, go tell your family, and go tell your friendly teachers. I'd like feedback.

Here's the first one. I recently picked up a few Prismacolor markers from a local craft/art/hobby store. I drew a few things and colored them in, this is one.

This guy really isn't one of my well thought out characters. I took some inspiration from FLCL and some of my own style to create him. You see his coat? It's mine. He's just one of those dudes you draw in class because he's just so damn cool and nothing really else at all. But, I'm sure with a name like Hazel, he'll fit nicely into a plot somewhere sooner or later.

What do you think? More to come people. And when I say more to come, I mean within hours, minutes, days! So come on back and tell me what you think about em' all, alright?

...please?

Prismacolor markers are so expensives and I'm not usually good with markers, but hey keep the good work. Post them whenever you feel like it, btw (though don't post them one after another for there are a few people still on dialup).

Yeah, these things were expensive. I'm thinking of trying to go the "cheaper" route, but I'm not really sure which brand to invest in. I never really colored my stuff before...

Except a few with colored pencils, but I'm not a fan of those.

Here are some more...

http://home.comcast.net/~koh/Lunesmile.gif
This is Lune Zentiyr, the main character of a series of episodes I wrote. The episodes are going to be transformed into graphic novels, but I have a few projects to finish before I start that. Lune is a sort of "calm and collected" individual who tends to be very nostalgic and defensive. He always seems to find himself in a heap of trouble too, but it's never too much of a big deal for him.

The world the series takes place in is futuristic. I'm talking flying cars, massive skyscrapers making up most of the composition of sprawling megacities, AI technology, and all sorts of stuff. Magic takes a part in it too, but most of the graphic novel will just display the huge world this story takes place in. I'll get more into it later, I have more pics of Lune and other characters from the story...

Here's another one with hazel. His head is a tad too big. That, or his body is too small, but, I still like it. He almost looks like a bobblehead. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Hopefully these resized GIF formatted pics aren't too much on your dial-up users. If it is, just let me know and I'll simply link them all in updates.

The basis of each episode is Lune and Ersaire searching the universe for clues about their past. They meet strange and exciting people anywhere from Mars to Jupiter and beyond.

The storyline isn't so much about a single character. Lune and Ersaire's journey bring them into the lives of hundreds of people. People who die, people who fight, people who suffer. So with each episode, you discover so much more about the world and the characters.

It's almost cowboy bebop-esque...

I like the characters, they look very hm.. real-life-ish. Like.... you have a feeling you'd be able to bump into this guy on the street or something. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Lune's hair looks like an explosion happened. Tee hee

Reminds me of the guy from "The Bouncer" for PS2. A sorta old game, about 4 years old.

Ooh, nice, on all of them. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif If you're looking for a good marker investment, go with Copics. I'm not sure what they cost (I don't have any... yet), but they work really, really well.

Nice pics, Shakey. But more interestingly is this story you're planning. It's not PSO, but it sounds pretty interesting. I'd like to see more, personally. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Good game. I love Tetsuya Nomura's character designs.

Today's update!

http://home.comcast.net/~koh/Ersaire.gif
This, ladies and gents, is Ersaire Zentiyr. She is the supposed sister of Lune, but they aren't even truly sure if they are related. She's a bit of a two-sided woman. During the day, she likes to maintain a calm and respectable style. While at night, she jumps into the club scene wherever she and Lune may go.

Lune usually gets pulled along...He's not the dancing type.

http://home.comcast.net/~koh/Foxbird.gif
This is Kere Foxbird. He's a member of the Kraza (beta name) clan of half-dragon/half-fox males. They are a secluded race of people who participate in tribal-like rituals. The have their god induced religion and ideals. However, Kere was an outcast. He was the kid in the back that stood up and asked, "How do you know they actually listen to us when we pray?". He wandered away from the Kraza islands when he was old enough and journeyed to the mainlands, only to become a wandering guitarist. Yeah, a guitarist.

Here's another one of hazel. Enjoy.

I like Kere a lot. I think it's the lots of detail on him, and him looking like a fully armed Baranz while looking so casual. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

The Bouncer? That game has like the worst character design ever seen from Square. [/personal opinion]

I really, REALLY hope that race was genetically engineered or something, cuz that ain't natural!

Shake
Mar 13, 2004, 08:57 PM
Kere seems to be popular! Thanks for the compliments everyone.

The Kraza race was engineered, yep. Males are half dragon/fox, while females are half dragon/feline. Kere is a young Kraza, so his human-Kraza differences are slim. But as they get older, they begin to change significantly. I'll scan some pics I have of them, they begin to grow wings and horns.

Anyways, the next few will be up tomorrow. Keep the feedback coming everyone...

Kere is definitly teh roxorz, but so is The Bouncer http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif I loved that game. PLus i kicked ass with the final form of the bad guy, which took me about 50 friggen matches to unlock, but meh. I was unstopable afterwards. Plus i like the moves and looks (except for the girl with the cone hair, bleh!) and fighting set up. Really like the storyline to, though it's kinda sad http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif Little girl/robot is gonna stay the same, while her bf gets old and dies http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_cry.gif

Another update. This one features a lot of Lune.

http://home.comcast.net/~koh/Luneheaven.gif
This one is a sketch. I really like it though, it's a really sad one. Lune deals with so much in his travels, that sometimes he can't help but dwell in nostalgic thoughts. I imagined him staring up into the sky at a sunset as I drew him. In the episodes, Andromeda Sunrise, Andromeda Sunset, and Starlight Spell, Lune remembers a mission he once took for the police-like Kaiser organization. It involved protecting a young girl...but...I'll let you guys find out what happens once I remix the episodes and make them into a graphic novel.

http://home.comcast.net/~koh/Lunevanira.gif
This is Lune again, but in different armor. His hair is a little different too. I figured this could just be an armor and style he had before the episodes took place. Or maybe he could wear this armor on a future "stealth" situation? Who knows...

http://home.comcast.net/~koh/Lunedream.gif
This is another sketch that's a little cleaner than the first. It's another sad one.

You like? Gimme some more feedback people! wee!

err...great, now i can't decide between Lune and Kere.

Translation: Very good!

Since you said "graphic novel" does that mean this is going to be a comic? Or like one page of writing with the adjacent page having a picture?

It'll be a paragraph or two or three, then an image and so on. That's what I have planned anyway. I might arrange it on the website two be...two frames. One on the left or top showing the image, while the other continues the story with a few paragraphs. I haven't really decided yet, but I want it to be really fun.

in my case reading is always fun... unless it's a boring book/comic
