A common mistake of people that I see all the time, is that they attribute their luck value with their ability to find quality and larger quantities of rares. This is not true.
The luck value is solely technique luck. The higher your luck, the more likely that you obtain a critical hit, or that the special on your weapon occurs.
Just thought I would clear that up for people who seem to misunderstand it.

Most people knew this, but thanks for clearing it up for the rest of them http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif
Then what does affect your ability to find rares? I can play on very hard ruins all day and find nothing, but I'll join a certain game, usually with high level characters, and the rares start dropping all over the place. What is that?

I know that section id has to do with the TYPE of rares you find.
I belive (not sure) that the # of hours logged has to do with the quantity and quality of the items you find. ex. a char with 20 hrs logged will find worse rares less often than a char with 100 hr.s logged. in other words, a character with more hours logged will find BETTER rares more OFTEN the a char with less hours logged. thats not to say that thew char with less hours wont find good rares occaisonally, just MUCH less often.
(i think thats how it works, thats my theory anyways.)
hope you understood all that http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif
