I'm confused... what the hell did she do wrong?
Nothing as far as I can see.

I'd better pack my bags now and start running from the law.
I work in a clothes shop and have sold many a pair of lacey undergarments.
I'm screwed! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Hahaha, run for your life. The undercover cops will come for you and your lacey undergarments.

I figure they're mad at that particular type of business on account their wifes left them for toys. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Do the police still offer rewards for infomation, cause i still know where you live and im a poor student now http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Sounds a bit prudish to me, getting arrested for selling a vibrator. Maybe thye should actually arrest someone who deserves it, like drug dealers and such.

What I can't get over is the fact they used the NARC squad to bust her and she's not even dealing drugs. I'm certain there could have been a more posative use of those resources elsewhere, and besides...if they were so hell bent on catching her in her sex-toy selling, I'm sure they would have gone after the chair-woman instead of some sales rep. Besides, last I checked, its a legal job.

Exactly, what she did is legal, heck they even came to her for the advice and toys! They solicited to her. Since when was vibrators illegal? I mean if the cops where playing as a married couple, then they're even over legal age to have sex so she couldent get in trouble for selling to minors (if that's illegal, I don't know).

They where a distressed married couple seeking to spice up their love life even. Texas-texas-texas...

The two policemen are idiots, and therefore should be shot without prior warning.

I've heard that the maximum amount of "toys" you can own is nine, but I can't see why anyone would want more than two. 0_o

Nine?
You mean there's actually a limit set?

There's a limit on "toys," not toys.

Have you ever wondered that it is not so much the issue of gender roles that are controlled by governmental institutions, but in fact, it is a control attempt of what each individual considers "fun" or "natural". This is an example I have brought to mention that is not solely an issue of accepting "sexual orientations" but sex itself on a whole. Forget the fact of freedom of speech, forget the fact of invasion of privacy, forget the fact of the "pursuit of happiness", forget all of it, and even then this arrest makes no sense whatsoever.

The waste of funds of tax payers money is beyond ludicruos. Using agents to bait a legitimate business woman, who has even already previously made her business known to the community, and have her arrested. Instead of seeking drug dealers, the ones that in fact do ruin the community is a slap to common sense and puts to question if we in fact are the superior beings on this planet.

Forget all the aforementioned reason of the stupidity of this act, and think on this. HOW MANY OF THE CITIZENS OF THAT COMMUNITY HAVE NOT BOUGHT ONCE IN THEIR LIFESPAN A VIBRATOR? Are they also going to be arrested, what of all the teenagers that buy, steal, or "borrow" porn magazines, are they too going to be arrested? What is next? "Officer arrest that man, he whistled at me and is obviously fornicating with me in his mind!"

And another point I aslo like to mention, are the officers above the law? I believed that "soliciting" is also a crime, did they not solicit also? And she was not selling to minors, she was not forcing a sale, THEY REQUESTED IT!! That is not the way a sting is supposed to go (if I remember correctly, the officer can not lead on a response they wish to hear, it has to come out naturally...)

Heh, I guess on the whole, we all want to have and desire a good sex life. But, we deceive ourselves and others that we "behave" properly... "Oh no, I NEVER do that..." Right, yes, sure, but you wish you did... I dont know if I am making sense, or if I am been coherent... but this is beyond ludicrous. This woman might face jail time and heavy fines, yet ppl like Martha Stewart that has done more damage (fraud and perjury) costing many innocent ppl money, is by far getting a better deal. Yes Martha Stewart is no longer CEO, but dam, she is still rich...

Oh.
I was actually going to sell my $7000 dollar worth collection, since the old Not-Yet-Open/Tampered Ninja Turtle figs are worth the most.

Furankunichan...absolutely brilliant. I was thinking of posting the fact its a waste of money to do what they did, but I don't think I could have said it quite like that. I agree...but it does come down to a lot more than just that too, its also about priorities among policing. I don't think I need to explain myself here, the source of that comment should be rather obvious.

i could see if she was arrested for using it in public on herself, but come on. next thing you know, theyll be taking in people who where too much leather or two peice swim suits.
limits on sex toys? why would anyone even consider even bring a bill to limit them in the first place?

In the State of Texas it is illegal to purchase or sell any sex toy except for educational purposes. Example: Dildo that really looks like a penis so it can be used to demonstrate the human body to say an Anatomy Class. The law is not that heavily enforced because it's kind of silly, but sometimes it is and it's kinda weird.

Really its illegal wow thats utter maddness. Although Vibrators really are annoying as they allow women to hold out on guys for much longer than the average guys mental health can take.

On a side note:
I can see a South Park episode being made about this very soon.

I'm pretty sure you can't. At least in most of the places I've driven here there are signs posted that say Left Lane for Passing Only. Can't say the same is true for All of Texas, but It is where I am.

Heh, Well a Vibrator is illegal, but a Dildo that looks like a real Penis that just happens to vibrate is perfectly fine, all you have to say is that it is to teach anatomy or something stupid like that.

she wasn't very bright for selling sex toys in a town of, what was it?, 50 people? Seriously, towns like that have intense obscenity laws. how could she be so careless? if she was smarter she'd have just done the transaction over the internet to a PO box in a metropolitan area.

obscenity is not protected by freedom of speech, but is variable from area to area. states, counties, to even cities, have different levels of obscenity laws. what one can get away with in san francisco most likely cannot in a small texas town of about 50 people.

that said, i think the city or county just needed extra $ to supply their budget and she seemed to be the easiest target. this is also why cops in small rural towns love giving out speeding tickets to people from out of town. it's another source of much needed revenue.

my opinion is that there should not be anything designated as a "town" or "city" until it reaches like, 30,000 people. anything smaller is just rural backwoods country that needs to be under the jurisdiction of the county. gets rid of all those stupid little rural towns and enslaves them to metropolitan areas - as it should be. stupid little backwaters that they are...
