View Full Version : Mean Partners Ep 3

OK, I teamed up with this one person for a game that I didn't know. We were facing a person and a com, easy, right? Little did I know my partner was stupid.

To start things off, I went a little easy because the person was with a com. I used a nature deck, so I had a Blue and a Wolf. This was on that Water Gyser level (it has an odd name), and the opposing Ark had trapped themself in the corner with my wolf blocking their exit.

My partner had a Nano and told me to "Move Your Tiger." What? Move my tiger? Needless to say, in my confusion I ran out of time to "move my tiger."

After the move phase he "yelled" at me for not moving my tiger, so his nano could not attack. This makes me think he doesn't know how to play the game oh-so-well as he claimed. A nano has a range of two, and could have attacked thru my wolf.

Well, it came down to me having one hp and being physically attacked by four. This is where they were really stupid. As the def screen came up for me to select, a reduction was put on my char. A reduction doesn't help. I had a Gaurd(sp?) I could have used and negated the attack. I should mention the opponent had four HP left, which I would have killed after that turn.

My opponent blaimed me for playing the reduction, thus loosing the game. He cursed at me, called me a stupid noob, and such things I prefer not to repeat. He asked me why I played that card.

My card? I have none of those in my deck, hmmmmm. I think the opponent did a very good recovery, and should be commended (one of PSOW's TK), yet I was too busy trying to explain why we lost to him. It did not make that night very enjoyable.

This is jsut my complaint, as we all know there are bad partners out there. Partners that don't see the way you do. Partners that call you stupid for one thing, which you have your own reasons for. Partners that quit in the middle of a game while you are losing. Partners that blame you entirly to the lose.

These "partners" are not the good part of PSO ep3. Why do we all love cooperation? Is it bad to have cooperation when playing another team?

Hehe, talking about Mortis Fons, just incase you are wondering.

It sucks that your partner blamed you for everything... I guess thats why many people I know like playing Tournies solo.

I make sure my partner know to wait a bit for me to play a defense card on me before they do. I do the same thing with them

I'm a bit timid in team tournies... I feel like I might let someone down. I seem to make mistakes a lot and I don't think before I act sometimes.

I always feel like I'll let someone down when I'm on a team. Thats is very mean, I think they were just being a sore loser and wanted to blame someone else. Sounds like they're the noob.

When I was a noob, I made those same mistakes, but i quickly learned, by playing offline for 15 hours before finally coming online.

I may have been a noob once too, losing to the com, but it wasn't because of my partners falts. I, of course, didn't assume all responsibility for the loss, but I knew it was part of the learning process.

After playing this game for awhile, I don't see how a loss can be entierly one person's fault. The "turning point" in the game which leads to the loss is based on a number decisions made by the team. I'm sure one team member has covered for the other with some card, which ended up costing more that helping. It just doesn't make sense.

He was a Level three, though he told me "he was a master offline" (whatever!). Its the "tiger" thing that really throws me. If I had really put some thought into it, I might of known what he meant. Yet, even after telling him it was a "wolf" for future reference, he called it a tiger. Hes probably never played PSO, or he has his own nicknames for the things.

That's why I try to partner with someone i know but something you want to help someone out and when you lose they blame you. That why I prefer solo tournment unless i can find good partner to team with on team tournments ^_^.

lol, I too find the tiger part funny...

I once watched a battle randomly... and I happen to see a team of human fighting 2 com... the interesting thing is that this guy was so worked up about these com player that he was cursing all over the place, cursing the com for using virus, cursing his partner for doing bad (he was the one doing bad)... then they won against com (duh?)... so I came with conclusion, that guy just like to curse and blame =/ hard for me to believe that one could get worked up so much about com players =/

See? As I said. The ones who complains are the worst players. They are all talk. Even when they are clv 27 they dont learn to play in with teamwork. bah
