I may be setting myself up for pain, but...

Starting this coming Monday, April 23, I will be doing a two-hour-ish block of photo sessions for the general public. I'm going to start out trying them on Monday nights, from 7pm-9pm CST (roughly @40 until @125). This is going to be a first come, first serve basis, in a game called 'pics-jazzyfox'

Now, the reading of the rules:
1. 5 shots per person, in either forest or ruins.
2. No Partisan-series or Soul Eater. I hate trying to do pictures of these things.
3. One character per person, per night.
4. No camera hogs. If I feel you're doing so, I'll ask you to leave. Sorry. Everyone wants this stuff.

The only reason I say these things is so I don't spend 5 hours all night doing just pictures. Playtime is good.

I may not be able to get on as regularly as Jazzyfox, but I can occasionally make appointments. Because of the huge amount of classes I'm taking right now and competition with my siblings for the game, I'm not always able to get on.

You can check out the shots I've taken so far at www.geocities.com/Kamotz01.

I got a question maybe someone in this thread can answer. In people's pic signatures here in the 'ol forums, I see lots of shots of the characters closeup and whatnot, camera angles that are usually unatainable. I was thinking that these are either taken during the battle with falz (where you can get next to him and face the camera for a closeup) or during the final room of endless nightmare #3 (where the camera is outa whack). Can someone explain how these closeups are attained? I know of the method to see through another characters view, but is there some way to freely rotate the camera along a vertical axis or what?

Thanks in advance,
sols

Nope, there's no way to rotate the camera. Basically they are taken by the painstaking task of getting your camera to be right in front the character who's pic is being taken.
Example: you walk staight into a character and walk past them a little bit. your camera will follow you and the other character will be in the camera's path. The problem is that it's too high of an angle to get a decent shot. So you situate yourself in a position where the photographer is downhill from the subject. That's why most of the pics are taken in Forest 2 and Ruins 1 because they have excellent slopes for close-ups.

It's a fairly difficult task, and it's not easy to get it down (at least for me).

Hope that helps. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif

Awesome, I'll be there. I've been dying to get a character pic in my sig. Do you use a video caputre card, the VMU, digital camera, what? And do you e-mail them to us, or do we just grab em off your site. Sorry if I'm asking too many questions, but since Rei vanished nobody's been around to take pics. Thanks for doing this for all of us, it really is a wonderful offer. I'm EST so I'll be on Puck 9 at 6:30'ish. Again Thank you thank you thank you.....

I would very much appreciate your help jazzy. I have a few chars, but abiding by your one char a night rule is no problem. No partisans, however... ;.; they are the weapon of choice for my RAcast Pharaoh, to go with his Egyptian theme. Cest la vie. I will be wherever whenever.
