View Full Version : Setting my BBA Up
Okay, I am getting my friends BBA tomorrow, and I'm gonna need some help setting this up. Right now we have a wireless connection. I have no clue what the ISP is, it is some sort of DSL. We have Linksys and right now there are 2 laptops and 2 computers getting the DSL. What am I gonna have to do to get this set up. Thanks

Basicly leave all the BBA settings as they are (everything on auto)
for a wireless DSL conection yourve got the
folowing options:
A wireless bridge, BBA plugs into this then the bridge conects to your wireless network.
Internet conection sharing form a P.C conected to the wireless network: conect the BBA to a P.C with a crossover cable that has access to the wireless network and set up Internet conection sharing.
Hard wired conection, use an ethernet lead to conect the BBa to your internet access point ( asuming its a wireless router with some ethernet out ports)
If you have a wireless router ( with ethernet out ports) it will be easier to place the router near your gamecube and hard wire it to your BBA, then the wireless stuff should transmit to the other computers on your network.
its easier to make a phone extension for the DSL service than to make an ethernet extension.
Just got it... How do I hook this bad boy up to my laptop
The laptop does not have an ethernet port... So can I still use that?
