it's not my pet. i am fostering it until it is ready and can be adopted. it needs to be socialized and learn to trust humans and be able to bond to humans. i am the volunteer foster home that retrains and cares for the cat that the non profit rescue org. pulls out of shelters and feral colonies. we pull out the difficult cats that won't have a chance of being adopted and will probably be put to sleep. this way, what we are doing, the cat will have a second chance at a loving forever home.

i have to go get it at the rescue org facility first. cowboy, ttyl. =P

I've already tried the only thing we can do. Suggest to newcomers, so they won't repeatedly spam, and why, the rules won't allow us to do anything else. And for some damnable reason, frink decided not to sticky the page, so I doubt anyone is going to bother to read it any ways. Though it had some things I think some people should know before trying to integrate into the FKL community.

I don't think your topic deserved a sticky, Sord, you had good points, but they were totally subjective, which is not the point of a public board, besides it had some elements in it that went against the warnings of a senior moderator.

Before I moved I lived in a low-rise. One day I was walking up the stairs (I lived on the 3rd floor) and an orang Tabby appeared out of nowhere and followed me. It was really cute, it had these gigantic eyes... well not gigantic, but something was very special about them.

Anyway, it followed into my apartment and starting making it its home. Then bro came home, got it some milk, and then we started to ponder what we should do about it. Eventually bro has to go out, I don't know how to hold a cat, so I put it in the laundry basket and go knock on everyone's door and asked if that is their kitty.

When I finally found the place, they were like "Oh hey is our cat here?" "Oh, that is our cat."

Come on, Uncle. Look at the new threads in the last few days. The posts in general were much like those of said "random noobs" that we hear so much about. There is a fine line between satiring/making fun of something and actually becoming that thing itself.

Anything not in moderation (kept to a decent amount) will very quickly spread like a plague. Several topics that ended up exactly the same after two or three posts in a matter of a few days is not funny or "clevar", despite who does it.

If it was a group of so-called "noobs" who made the exact same topics and posts, suddenly they would be blamed for the "destruction" of FKL, when it wasn't under destruction to begin with.

Some of the more recent topics have started to push the limit again, most likely because mods just haven't been seen around this area as much. The satire is starting to become the truth, if it goes much further. Yeah, it might all be in fun, but that's the same fun some of the newer people may be seeing. Yes, there may have been a few "new" people who just posted spam smilies 50 times in a post and nothing else, but not all newer people do that, and even some older people do that. There is no line.

How many threads on the first page even contain nothing but "SPAMSPAMSPAM" in them? I barely ever notice them, and was definately not referring to them, what I usually see is a lot of the same general posts by just about everyone.

Everytime someone tries to post something interesting and of some interest or comedic value, it's bombarded with "CLEvAR!!!1" and comments which all but make it pointless to even post something interesting, because it just gets ruined. This thread being a prime example.

Oh, and whats really funny is that you even just said if you wanted to reassure yourself of how funny you were, you'd make a thread. You really need a thread and other people to endorse you? Make you feel like you fill the role? Don't realise that it doesn't mean anything since there are people here that would say yes just to get your favor?
