I've been noticing for a while now that they have some really weird spf's on sunscreen in stores. They have spf's like 12, 33, 42.....my question is why not just make suncreen with spf's that go up in increments of 5? Why would they need to make weird ones like that?

(welcome to a completely pointless post......sigh)

The sunscreen over here does go up in increments of 5.

Anything below a factor 16 is useless anyway cos it don't block UV rays. Oh and it goes 4,8,16,25,30,60 over here but I do live in britain and its never sunny ever so aint totally sure.

I think 35 is the cut-off point. Anything after that has no effect.
