View Full Version : FKL 'Regular Joe' Warning

anwserman

Just want to make sure people are aware of this. I'm not a mod, so this is a "Regular Joe" warning.

Fucking up FKL to the point where it...
1) ceases to exist
2) becomes so regulated that it is no longer fun.
THIS CAN, AND ONLY WILL BE, BROUGHT ON BY THE PEOPLE WHO POST IN IT.

Thus, do not complain that the mods are being strict - they're being strict in order to make up by your possible insolence and pure stupidity. Do not do anything that causes Lollipop and the other mods to get pissed. Think that you can only be banned with three warnings? Nope, they'll gladly make exceptions for those 'special people' who visit this site.

Basically, you're cooking your own goose. This applies to me as well, so don't think I'm above my own words.

Think before posting.... and that should apply to all of the forums here too.

I think we should be asking ourselves if we are all on the mods hit list of banning!

But if we ask...What if they add us?

And anwserman you make some good points. Always atleast try to think about if your post is going to help FKL or shove it farther down the crapper.

I give it a few more posts before it goes into

"FUNNAY!"

Oops.

If not, then we're obviously not doing our jobs right.

But um, yeah. Good point, anwserman.

they are being strict? they seem to be doing the same thing as always, which isn't very strict, and sometimes ignorant (fortunately enough for some of us.)

Just a question -

If you're referring to people as newbies without any negative connotation, is there really anything wrong with that? I mean, did you really have to use "regular joe"? I think it's fine to say newbies have to read the rules, etc, etc.

I mean, you should do that the day you come to the site. The first day you're here, you're new. Therefore a newbie. Makes sense, right?

I meant "regular joe" within the context that I'm just an average forum member making these points. I'm not a mod or anything... just a regular joe.

I wasn't meaning it was for just n00bs, its for everyone.

I gotcha. It is good for the average member to speak up every once in a while. The mods do a lot, and only Frink deserves to be over-worked.

I have good input for you all, but you'll have to wait for me to get my internet back so I can actually commit time to it.

I don't know why, but I find Frink's title of "Bradicus" very humorous.

I was kinda wondering about that.

Does Frink have some sort of secret obsession with the Prince of Prance?

Then give someone here that posts frequently the ability to sticky important topics such as this. Seriously, heh.

Hah, yeah, right. A few stickied topics will really spruce this place up.

It was a suggestion. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif Wouldn't hurt to sticky an IMPORTANT topic though, would it? :l

There are important topics stickied. Are they that hard to follow or understand on top of the standard rules of the site? Posting maturely and responsibly isn't a rocket science by any stretch.
