Ok, so i'm gonna get flamed, but I don't really care. I think 1337 language is just plain retarded. I mean, seriously, being able to type in some kind of easily read coded english does not make one any cooler. Whatever happened to speaking ENGLISH!? Kids these days...

doesn't happen as much on forums/message boards, but it appears more when there are children playing their little online video games.
1337 was originally started by hackers who didn't want their websites and such found by a simple search engine, so they replaced the letters with numbers. And because they did so some 6 years ago, children of today, (mostly ones who odn't know a thing about computers) do it to feel like a hacker, etc.

Yesh, it pissed me off to, but it doesn't come pu as much if you hang out with the intilligent people.

Seen loads of these before and it always comes down to the same resolution:

a) People hate 1337

b) People have learnt to move on and not be so bothered by 1337 speak

c) In every other post in the topic someone will use 1337 cause their oh so funny

1337 is old news and no one cares anymore. Same thing with people who constantly rant about people naming their characters after FF7/DBZ characters and FSODing. People just ignore it and move along!
