WTF?!?! Clans...

I'm gone for about a week... (busy with school) I come back, and some of the people who I know and play from here are in clans.

Whaaaa?!?!?

Can someone please feel me in with what is going on, specifically those clan members? And what is this EA, DHS, etc, mean anyway?

This weekend, I hopped online, for maybe 20 minutes, and I noticed Danger Girl (DHS) is in a clan... after reading another post, I find there is this other clan.. which one of my PSO friends, Ice_, is in, (EA).

ahhh... my PSO friends are at war with each other... heh. very interesting...

I wonder who else I know is in these clans...

SaiToH, aren't trying to make a clan out of your own chars, to match up with Watashiwa's clan of chars.

Well, I'm not really asking about what is the reason for clans in general... I understand the concept...

Basically I'm saying... I'm gone a few days, all of the sudden, when I come back... the people I identify with the most.. i.e. DG, Ice, and some others... are in clans... I'm asking myself... "am I missing something here"

So Core, what clan are you a part of? EA? DHS?

These days.. when there is SOO much cheaters around, and now i've even heard that there's a GS code who can corrupt VMU data..

So clans are a protection against this.. You can always trust your clan members, always have a good time playing with them.

.... Is all of this clan business really necesary? Currently, this is no real way to compete, so what exactly is the point. And if you are all preparin' for PSOv2...what if it doesn't come to the US?...Don't get me wrong, I live PSO, I love teamplay, and I would love to be part of a team (clan), but i just don't understand all of the fuss...

I'm not in a clan, but having a group of people who you can play with, without fear of getting robbed or pked or whatever is quite attractive in the current enviornment.
