Let's post some fun logic puzzles. Simple rules; to post a puzzle you must first solve the last person's puzzle! So anyone who solves one get's to post there own!

Let's start with word-logic puzzles that lead to a common phrase or word, for example if I was to right "Oholene" the answer would be "hole in one". Oholene= O-hole-ne. Here's a simple easy one.

Puzzle;

N N N N N N N
A A A A A A A
C C C C C C C

Very close actually. The answer is "7 Up cans."

NNNNNNN
AAAAAAA
CCCCCCC

Seven N's for seven, then can spelt upwards to get you to 7Up Cans.

Let's try another one, this one is really easy. =D

A man left the hotel bar and walked toward the parking lot.

Without the benefit of moonlight or other artificial light sources, he was able to spot his black car 100m away.

How was this possible?

Very good Spike, one point for you! Here's another one,

A woman from London married ten different men from that city, yet she did not break any laws.

None of the men died, and she never divorced.

How was this possible?

Oh and if you know any post them, but one at a time.

Herogod

Ok, both of you get a warning for pointing out a mod's stupidity =P Sorry about that Astuarlen, but ya know technically when the gender is unknown, or nondescript the masculine pronoun is the right one to use... Course if I opened my eyes, I'd see it wasn't unknown =/

Hero you got it right first, not a full explination but I'll give it to you. Here's another,

If nine thousand, nine hundred nine pounds is written as 9,909 lbs, how should twelve thousand, twelve hundred twelve pounds be written?

Second point for Hero. And my name is GUNTZ, there is no R! Look at the avatar and play Shining Force damn it! >.<

And by the wording of you puzzle, the item you hold is a door that is ajar(open). ^_^ Here's a tricky one,

Two men were being tried for murder.

The jury found one man guilty and the other innocent.

The judge turned to the guilty man and said, "Even though your guilt has been established, the law compels me to set you free."

Explain the situation.

In a town where 667 of the 20 000 inhabitants had unlisted phone numbers, what would your odds be of picking one at random from that town's phone directory?

1 in 1, you will always be able to pick one number at random form a phone directory. unless you have no arms, or eyes http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif

or unless you mean:

0 in 1, you cant pick an unlisted number from the phone directory....

Yeah, so ummm it's a tie. You also edited at the same time too. Oh well, one point for Firo, one for Zane!

What is the closest relation that your father's sister's sister-in-law could be to you?

Polar
Apr 18, 2004, 04:35 PM
Your mum. Or your wife.

Polar
Apr 18, 2004, 04:39 PM
As in, your mum is by default your father's sister's sister in law. But you could marry your father's sister's _husband's_ sister, who would be her sister-in-law too

Firerocket still got it wrong? You wont _always_ get one, you'll NEVER get one. The "one" referred to is an unlisted number, not a listed number.

how long you have been on PSOW does not determine your FKL status, you are judged by how long you have been consistantly posting in FKL.
