Need to die. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif

It's actually kinda funny, when you think about it outside of my shoes. That, we have lived in this place with this phone number for close to a year now, we still get phone calls for Douglas (previous person who used our phone number, neither me nor my bro is Douglas, just to clarify this http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif)... and these people also like to call in early mornings.

Sleepy navi is crankt navi.
As for why this is in FK instead of Rants? Well ... I dunno. I want creative solutions. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

You still get phone calls for the Douglas person!?

Lordy Navi, you've been getting those calls for ages! I have a good idea for you. When they call, give them this number. 336-634-0995, that'll give you a few hours to sleep in on. =D

Why don't you pretend to be Douglas?

Next time you recieve a call for Douglas, do an impersonation of Crankshaft. That should shut 'em up.

I once knew a douglas... well, maybe I didn't, but still. doug! doug dug his dugout. tee hee.

but anyway, next time they phone, put on teh manliest voice you can muster and pretend to be this so called douglas. Start talking about being gay and wanting to join a chicken suit clad strip joint. they'll probably get scared knowing that this isn't douglas and never phone back again.

unless ofcourse they have some strange fetish with gay men in a chicken suit dancing in a strip join.

hey I just thought of something. they could call the place "Chicken strips"!

We've had our # for three years and we still get calls looking for a Mr. Otto Franz. Leader of on-the-run Nazis? I think so.....

Well. As most people suggest me to do some sort of impression of someone else... this is my problem.

.... How do you make an impression of someone that isn't angry and annoyed and want to kill something when you are being waken up of your sweet slumber?

... I know! I should pretend that I am Dragoon. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif
People who call tend to be of different varieties, some of them are Douglas's friends. Some are actually automated phone calls from banks that will call and call and call until you return their call.

I yelled at customer respresentative once saying there is no Doug and stop being a nuisence.

Well, at least your number isn't 867-5309. I can imagine that would be worse.

On second thought, tell them that's his new phone number.

Did you say Guy in a chicken suit (http://www.subservientchicken.com/)?

Uh... a song... that I don't know nearly enough about.

That phone number is the chorus to the song.

I seem to remember early on in my PSOW career there was a funny thread dealing with that song.

The song was "Jenny 867-5309". I guess the lead singer of a rock band saw this number written on the wall of a bathroom ("For a good time call..."), and wrote a song about it. Rather amusing, actually.

"Jenny, Jenny I got your number, 8675309! I got it off the bathroom wall! 8675309!"

That's all of it that I know.

Pretend that your number is for the Russian embassy. That would throw them in a loop. Quite fun really. Course to do that you need to know Russian...

But the deaths of Douglas and every person who knows his name would stop the calls.

That would cause a paradox... Navi herself would fall under that group as would I, and you as well.

You try getting calls for a person you have no idea of every morning at daybreak and each person demand an explaination why Douglas isn't available to speak to.

Actually, there was a particularly bad rap song along those lines. It was "Sheniqua (sp) Don't Live Here No Mo'" by Little T. It featured this T fellow recieving calls from people "looking for a good time". I think the chorus whent something like:

Sheniqua don't live here no mo'
Sheniqua don't live here no mo'
Is Sheniqua there?
HELL NO!
