No one really cares about the DHS because, well.... there lame. They have no hype. No energy. Nothing.

As for my clan. The reason "no one really gives 2 shits about" it, might because

A. We didn't create our clan in these fourms, or use it as our "head quarters".

B. Im the only member who post here.

To be in a clan, wouldn't you only have to play with clan members? If you were to play with me, you would not be a real member in clan because you would be playing with a diffrent clan member.
So really, all this EA bullshit is about 4 people playing in a password locked game. Whoopie-de-doo.

Ewww.......I was really dying for a post like this, so I could put in my 2?. No offense to anyone with this post, especially my clan bothers, lol. Personally if you ask me, clans are something to gain publicity, like I was telling Cube from the start. They start out mainly for the hype invovled with them, and so people will flock to you thinking you're some sort of God, which is basically popularity. When in reality all you have to do is make your own clan, build a flashy site, and get 1 or 2 (if you're lucky) really popular peeps from here, and boom instant fame, hype, etc. I'm not dissing EA exclusively, but all clans. Besides look what it's done to Cube, already segregating members by clan, and even though I don't know Glider, and sometimes don't like what he has to say, Cube attacked him. I think this whole clan business is getting way out of hand, attacking other members of this board and so on, when we're all supposed to be friends? Clans are for friendly competition, you're not supposed to hate members of another clan simply because they oppose you, it's called sportsmanship, which allot of you have lost site of. I don't care if fellow EA members read this and want to kick me out, because I think I would rather have everyones friendship, instead of being part of a group that's hated by all. Everyone one of you just need to calm down, there are ways of gaining fame by being nice, that's how you get places in life.

Clans are pretty much a bunch of friends who have a fun time playing together. And its an even better way to make more friends... So when you hear the EA thomping on the DHS as usual thats only because a.) were warming up for V2.0's battle mode, or b.) were hyping up. Plain and simple.

Well, I think the clans suck in general.. can't you just have a crew of mates?

EA in particular though... I was trying for about 20 minutes to get a duper to give me all his items so I could sell them. This is with my IndyAnna character, by the way.

Qu the duper was in the team, and DarkMatrix, my only witness, and EA Hotdog.

As soon as I got everything off this duper, I sold it, but Qu left immediately, and EA Hotdog disconnected! I only had DarmMatrix left to brag to about how I'd jipped this duper.

A day later, I arrive in Puck 9, and the first thing I get is some other EA member, I've never met before, totally going off at me. Suddenly the whole lobby is against me, the EA fella is insulting me too fast to do anything.. then before I can even say I'm a good guy, he just leaves!

What crap is that?
I begged HotDog for his card, I had no other way of telling him my plans without aleting Qu. But he wouldn't give it to me.

Then this guy has badmouthed me to this "elite" clan.. and they're all believing him to the death, laying it right down on me.

Then once he's had his bitch at me, he runs off before I can even say anything!


And in my opinion, that makes the clan pretty lame.

Woooooow!!! Jay you suprise me! Such a bold and wise statement. I had you misjudged. The fact is you're right. I only joined the DHS because Spy asked me to. That was under the assumtion the whole thing would die off in about 3 days. Well' I was wrong again.

The reason I stay, and this is where Cube couldn't be more wrong, is because Ukyou and Spy have worked themselves silly putting the whole thing together. I have to admit it has been alot of fun. Smart Ass HQ really feels like home for me. Not to mention last night we had a blast. Lysan, Eliste, and I stood chatting away (all newman women) on Pioneer 2. Suddenly Spy joins the game. No hello, no howya doing....he quitely walks up, and in pure Spy fashion says "I don't believe in elves."

On the recruitiment thing: Out of the 100 or so people that asked to be tried out i think i only let 1 or 2 in... The EA is a group of frineds. thats pretty simple, and quiet blunt. If we say DHS sucks were suaully jokin. Sometimes they take things to far, but whadaya gona do. No one in the -EA- hates eachother. we all level up together, we all hang out together, we all have a blast with eachother. And i think the recruitment thing was a good idea, because if i ddint do it i would never had met 2 of my coolest pso buds Verve and Ziro.

Having been part of the "clan" experience since the first public release of Quake (Q - Were there any major DOOM clans? I rarely hear about those...), I can safely say that generally, they are a waste of time.

In most cases, clans will become either too large to maintain, or simply too inactive. In the case of the former, one simply cannot keep track of all members, which will inevitably lead to miscreants joining and ruining the reputation of said clan. And until the release of Version 2, I'm sure your clan will be dormant, as far as events are concerned.

The above abounded in Quake. If the atmosphere that SPAWNED the clan concept in games has difficulty supporting it, what hope does PSO have?

Of course, if you're just adding letters to your name to give yourself a feeling of importance, don't expect me to care in the least.

Also, Ice_, I know nitpicking is a weak tactic, but maybe more people would take to you if you showed the decency to check over your posts before you submitted them?
