Personally, I think clans have a more negative influence on the PSO gaming world than positive. First, it excludes people who aren't members of whatever clans. I've often seen people say "I gotta go, my clan members are here" or when you email your PSO friend and asks if you can join them; they often go "Sorry clan members only." Kind of diminishes what I perceive as the value of friendship.

Secondly, it forms hostility among other clans in its way to proclaim itself as the best clan. I've seen pointless rants in the lobby. "Our clan is the best, your clan sucks, blah blah blah." People seem to forget that this game was suppose to bring us together through teamwork. Create a gaming environment where people can enjoy each other's company.

Sadly, as of lately, I've actually often left online to play offline being most of the people I came to trust and have considered as friends in this game started ditching me for their clans. It will probably continue in this trend and before long I'll probably quit playing this game all together until PSO ver 2 comes.
I'm just sadden how such a wonderful game can turn to alienate people from each other who commonly enjoy playing it.

Well I see things differently, clans are groups of friends who can rely on each other. I know DHS is a very friendly clan, and we all can trust each other. It's just a group of friends, that's all.

Aww, don't worry. I'll always be there, no matter what my clans ask me to do.. ^_^v

It dosen't matter what my clan is doing. (Half the time I get on way to late to play with them anyways) no matter wahtI always play with my friends when their on.

hostility? all the hostility ive seen has been in good fun. Its just two groups of friends joking around with each other. But that may change when ver. 2 comes out! Thats when the true hostility will happen. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_wink.gif(jk)

Ah, it seems evr since the EA came into action all this clan talk has gotten a real boost... Why's that? Were simply a group of friends who like to pay pso. plain and simple. lol go check the DHS site, they have rules that make them look like there part of congress its rediculous.

I agree with Omege12 (and yet also with cube) its not about rules (we have none) its about people you can trust more than others realy well at this point as in there is no PvP so its hard to know witch clan is best (pluss think when Version 2 is out PvP is where clans will be more usual) i have posted stuff about PSO clans and where my clan comes from at are site:

Everytime people bring up clans, them what're in them use the 'group of friends' line. Okay, so I can understand the desire for a regular group. But must it turn into what Vamp describes, where everything is clan only?

I personally play with the same general group of people. But we have no need to call ourselves a clan. We just know who each other are.. I can remember the people I think are good to play with, and don't need an acronym to remind me.
