I'm getting online soon, and It is RIDICULOUSLY expensive. In 4 months I will have spent $500 on PSO, and I will have been online for 3 months then.
BB adapter=$35
Router=$80
Game Adapter=$80
Memory Card 251=$20
PSO 1&2 =$95 (bought it, traded it in, bought it again, D'OH!)
PSO 3 (gave tsudoplat my 1&2 #s)=$50
Comcast Internet installation=$40
3-months comcast=$60
3-months pso online=$18
Bringing my total to around $501.90 including tax. That makes me sad... damn pso addiction... crack would be cheaper...

$500 isn't too bad.
I did the math once, and by now, I've easily spent well over $3,000 on this game.

$500 is alot of money when you're 15, with no job. And $3000? Seriously? -see topic title for my response-

And $3,000 is also a lot when you bearly make enough to keep up with your bills, and continue to eat until the next paycheck.

You forgot to add in the fact that you have an electricity bill to pay every month in order to play PSO
50-100 a month
And that you have to have a house to play in.
$120,000
Totaling $120,501.98
So yeah, you've screwed yourself over financially

Dang....looks like you need to win the lottery. Cuz you are gonna play PSO online if you've got the chance. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif
It's not that bad. After you buy the essentials it's only a monthly comcast bill and the pso member fee. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

Optionalnetworking cables = $10 (usually for screenshots via network)

Ok so far I have needed
Dreamcast with 5 mem cards both versions of dc pso
£199 + £35 + £80 = £314
Old internet at £1 per hrs
£90
New internet at £12 month
£12 x 8 = £96
Gamecube with mem card both pso 1+2, ep3 and modem
£150 + £70 + £35 = £255
New internet
£12 x 7 = £84
Revert back to old internet for while
£20
HL
£6 x 7 = £42
Total Amount = £900+ which is well over $1000
This does nto include wasted money on other games buying a second DC to replace first 3 extra GC pads 4 extra dc pads and other things I may have forgotten.

Don't know about you, but 500 is still one hefty chunk of change for me, job or no...
