Both...I don't think any of the explanations are very good...http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif I'm gonna have to go into serious thinker mode for this one...

the puzzle is really easy but the people that explained it use too much math to explain it http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_nono.gif

lmao, thats easy to explain. i dont knw if its cuz im a grade abov ein math or what, but see, the red tirangle is bigger than that cyanish light blue one. they switched them around, and moved the yellowish one down and over, and then re-arranged the other one and ta da, its done. did anyone get that?

Then, those two objects that are Yellow and light Green, with the boxy shapes can fully connect when the yellow is placed on TOP of the green, but because of the length of the single block width "arms" of those shapes, they do not fit together completely when placed SIDE BY SIDE.

Yea, but can you not see what's strange about it? Both large triangles cover the same area, and each shape has exactly the same area for both triangles, so how is there a space? I don't think the people trying to explain it with maths have done a very good job either - I've taken A-level maths, and can see what they're getting at, but it just doesn't work the way they've said it does...my head still hurts!...

As far as I can tell it is an opticall ilusion with the colors and the thickness of the lines in the grid. Not to get analytical and all, its just a trick.
