A strange gun?

I was just wondering if anyone has noticed the guns that the soldiers next to the telporters (or any soldier) carry on their backs and what they think that gun is...

It looks like it's sawed off, too. Must be so the guards can run easier and get to problem areas.

Its too short to be a Rifle, it isn't a Bravace, or a Supressed Gun. It is its own type of gun.

It is not a S-Rank Handgun. S-Rank Handguns have gold at the top, and are shaped like a normal Handgun. The Guard's guns doesn't look like the standard Handgun.
