I've had the GC EPI+II for a while and I used to play offline with my mates using the miltiplayer mode. Alough now because I am the only one with the game my character is fast aproching the 50 levels, whille they are still strugling around the 20 levels. So I have decided to go online but I am wondering if anyone can give me some advice on where to buy the nessecery hardware, what to buy and how much it is going to cost me.
Thanks, Morgan

i found the braodband adapter at eb games just by chance. i wasnt even looking for it and BAM! it was there. i think it cost me about 30 bucks. so first check at ebgames, gamestop, etc. first. if you buy it online youll get ripped off hardcore.
hope that helps in some way.

You can find almost everything you need at Circuit City. You'll find the online experience is so much better than playing multi-player offline. The camera angles and the small boxes offline suck! Try to convince your friends to also go online and form a team or clan for runs and quests. You'll find that's it a helluva lot of fun. And welcome to online.

Thanks that has helped a lot. All I need how is some cash, and I will be a new online player. Expect to see Deadboy in the next 6-7 weeks.

Soz that I am double posting but I've got another problam. I have internet sharing in my house, the one in my step-dads study is the hoster and my one in my room is the one sharing the net. The internet is on in my house almost 24 hours a day, so does anyone know of a way I can get internet on my GC without disturbing the PC's

I used a Belkin wireless network system (Circuit City - about $100) to hook up our apple, pc and xbox from the same modem. It works very well for us. The folks at Circuit City were very good about helping me set it up. Not being the most tech-savvy guy in the world, I still found it very easy. I also use SBC broadband and I'm happy I do.

Been thinking about that, but noticed that my GC doesn't have a USB connection. Is it needed?

I use the 10/100 Ethernet Port for xbox. Not sure about the cube.

I have had the most luck with Gamestop.
Prices:
Adapters:
Gamestop: $39.99
EB Games: $34.99
Keyboards (powerboard):
Gamestop: $14.99
EB Games: Probably $14.99 if they even stock it.
im not sure about place slike Best Buy and Circuit City. I've asked around and most people say they have gotten lucky at Best Buy.
You can also import the ASCII controller from places like liksang.com for around $70. I dont see the need though. I have one of those powerboards, they're ok, theres somehting wierd with PSO in that some of the Shift + (key) dont actually do what is shown. Adapters are also another option. Prices can vary since theose are only sold online, you do get an adapter with the powerboard, so if you dont like the keyboard that comes with you can use a different one.
I have also hears that a router may help prevent FSOD, its not proven though.
I would recomend getting a keyboard if you are able to. It is possible to chat using the in-game keyboard, but it starts to get annoying after a while. (not havign a keyboard actually can befifit you once you get one, because you would have set all of your shortcuts.)
I reccomend playing online, its a blast, and you level up unbelievably fast...for a while atleast (around 120 ish it starts to bog down a bit.) Getting all the new quests and being able play with other people and chat with them over the internet is the best. Make sure you have a long enough ethernet cable from your modem/router so that you can reach your GC.
Edit: Oh oh! if there are any NEW (under a year atleast) game/tech stores around your area, try those out first. Chances are they aren't frequented a lot and dont have people clearing out their stocks every week, thats how I got my modem and keyboard (at Gamestop, and they even had 2 more keyboards and another modem!)

The slight problam that I have is that I am in England, so I can't check those shops, but I will try a search engine with those products though, thanks.

Nope, I'm using a router and already had FSOD twice or so.
