Achilles is physically vulnerable only in his right ankle.

Neo, on the other hand, is hairless and has no muscle training to allow him to use his knowledge of martial arts outside of the Matrix; it's furthermore worthy to note that it's a miracle that Neo was even capable of walking around after being in a physically stationary position in the Matrix his entire life.

So, let's see here... Man with no muscle development vs. nearly invulnerable Greek soldier... Hmm...

Let's also remember that Neo (along with the REST of the characters from the Matrix) had this bizarre idea that the best way to defeat basically invulnerable opponents was to use sheer brute force. As was demonstrated over and over again in the movies (and never ONCE noticed by ANY of the tactically retarded characters), brute force does not work to defeat physically invulnerable opponents.

Think about it. How many times did Neo put Agent Smith through walls? How many times did he make Agent Smith's face ripple? How many times did these things do little more to Agent Smith than just slow him down? No damage registered. Invulnerable.

Neo, on the other hand, was always readily capable of recieving damage, and being only mortal, was capable of dieing. He managed to return from death in the Matrix once, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it would work out the same way a second time, because his body does indeed interpret damage.

So there. Take your trendy semi-goth hero, and shove him.

It's not very hard to figure this one out, people.

Well, it's obvious that Achilles would win unless he was for some reason plugged into the Matrix, but as for Neo constantly bashing Agent Smith... one must remember how terribly off course the Wachowski Bros got with the two sequels. Everything from the plot, to certain character traits changed from the first movie. At the end of the first Matrix, Neo is pretty much God. Yet, in the second, he suddenly has to actually fight people instead of just wasting them.
