You'll never get rid of me. Twenty years from now I'll be knocking down your door. I'll bring your kids presents. They'll call me "Uncle Jack"... even though I'm not really your brother. They'll start to love me more than they love you. They'll come to me for advice, they'll come to me for everything. They will love Uncle Jack so much. I can't wait. I'll love your kids. They'll be great. I'll wrestle and have tea parties with them. As they get a bit older, I'll coach their sports teams. Even later in their life, I'll give them sex advice and hand out condoms and birth control pills. I am everyone's father. You'll never get rid of me. This is you in twenty years-
"Jack, get the f*ck away from my children!"

Just thought I'd clear that up =D

Hey, when I adopt a kid, be my guest to be "Uncle Jack" hehe. As long as your good to them, who am I to complain?

Although, I'm VERY confused on how the hell you came up with that post hehe.

Eh, no worries :)

The Moon's Essence

As The Moon Shines,
And The Stars Glow.
I Walk To You
Through The Heavy Snow.
The Sand Hits Me
In The Desert Field.
But I'm Harmed Not
As You're My Shield.
But The Moon Is Dark,
And You're Not Here.
Without Your Love
I Fall In Fear.
I Try To Fight It,
With All My Might.
Standing Here In The Darkness
Without My Moon's Light.
As You Are My Path.
The Path I Shall Follow.
You Were My Fullness
And Now I'm Hollow.
I Breathe Deeply,
Longing For You.
How Could Love Be Lost
With Love So True.
The Moon Rises,
And Light Shines Down.
I Walk To You
In My Wedding Gown.
This Is It,
Our Love Is Sealed.
The Moon Was My Guide
To You I Feel.
I Take Your Hand
And Say I Do.
Gone Before My Eyes,
Please Say It's Not True.
The Moon Was Wrong,
It Sent Me A Lie.
You Aren't Here,
Can I Survive?
The Question I Ask,
Through Day And Night.
I Begin Another Journey
Under The Moon's Light...

*gets smacked out of no where by the last poem*
Amazing job on that one...

Dec 21, 2001, 03:06 AM
Thank you!! ^^

And if you didn't know, I make these poems right here when I post them. ^^; Take about 2 -3 minutes to do. I could be doing this all night! XD In fact, I've spoken rhyme on AIM and RO a few times. It's funny. ^^; (I never did it on PSO because your word boxes aren't large enough) x.x

I think I'll do one more tonight.

Dec 21, 2001, 03:08 AM
You should do what I do, keep them all in a .doc file on your computer. Really nice to open the file up and read your poems after afew months :)

The Month of Love

Back In January,
When We First Met,
Your Face Was Cute To Me,
You Were My Little Pet.
Some Time In February,
You Asked Me Out.
I Hugged You Closely,
Your Name I'd Shout.
Then In March,
We Became Great Friends.
This Infinite Happiness,
I Hope This Moment Never Ends.
Back In April
My Heart You Stoled.
I Sit Down Next To You.
Your Hand I Hold.
You Said You'd Leave
Sometime In May.
I Grabbed Your Arms
For You To Stay.
You Said You Couldn't
During June.
You Kissed Me Good-Bye
Saying You'd Be Back So Soon.
I Waited Here Just For You
In The Warm Month Of July.
The Fireworks Came Without You.
The Thought Had Made Me Cry.
August Had Come
With No Sign Of Thee.
You Weren't Here
To Set Me Free.
Months Ago You Said Good-Bye.
Will I Be Alone This September?
You Will Be Back...
I'll Always Remember.
October Has Come,
You Missed Halloween.
I'm Here Without You!
I'm Goin to SCREAM!!
Where Are You My Dear?!
It's Already November!
It's Been A Lifetime
Since We Were Together.
December Has Come,
Christmas Is Here.
But I Am Not.
You're Without Me My Dear.
I'm In A Better Place,
Away From All Of This.
My Entire Life All I Longed For
Was A Kiss.......From You.

(Needn't I explain what happened at the end...)

Wow...a rather sad poem...
But a good poem never the less...very good :)

Dec 21, 2001, 08:17 AM
I wished to post one of my favorite authors. A few poems, by Dorothy Parker.

Indian Summer

In youth, it was a way I had
To do my best to please,
And change, with every passing lad,
To suit his theories.

But now I know the things I know,
And do the things I do;
And if you do not like me so,
To hell, my love, with you!

Lilacs blossom just as sweet
Now my heart is shattered.
If I bowled it down the street,
Who's to say it mattered?
If there's one that rode away
What would I be missing?
Lips that taste of tears, they say,
Are the best for kissing.

Eyes that watch the morning star
Seem a little brighter;
Arms held out to darkness are
Usually whiter.
Shall I bar the strolling guest,
Bind my brow with willow,
When, they say, the empty breast
Is the softer pillow?

That a heart falls tinkling down,
Never think it ceases.
Every likely lad in town
Gathers up the pieces.
If there's one gone whistling by
Would I let it grieve me?
Let him wonder if I lie;
Let him half believe me.

Unfortunate Coincidence

By the time you swear you're his,
Shivering and sighing,
And he vows his passion is
Infinite, undying -
Lady, make a note of this:
One of you is lying.

Chloe's hair, no doubt, was brighter;
Lydia's mouth more sweetly sad;
Hebe's arms were rather whiter;
Languorous-lidded Helen had

Eyes more blue than e'er the sky was;
Lalage's was subtler stuff;
Still, you used to think that I was
Fair enough.

Now you're casting yearning glances
At the pale Penelope;
Cutting in on Claudia's dances;
Taking Iris out to tea.
Iole you find warm-hearted;
Zoe's cheek is far from rough-
Don't you think it's time we parted? . . .
Fair enough!

One Perfect Rose

A single flow'r he sent me, since we met.
All tenderly his messenger he chose;
Deep-hearted, pure, with scented dew still wet-
One perfect rose.

I knew the language of the floweret;
"My fragile leaves," it said, "his heart enclose."
Love long has taken for his amulet
One perfect rose.

Why is it no one ever sent me yet
One perfect limousine, do you suppose?
Ah no, it's always just my luck to get
One perfect rose.

They hail you as their morning star
Because you are the way you are.
If you return the sentiment,
They'll try to make you different;
And once they have you, safe and sound,
They want to change you all around.
Your moods and ways they put a curse on;
They'd make of you another person.
They cannot let you go your gait;
They influence and educate.
They'd alter all that they admired.
They make me sick, they make me tired.

If I don't drive around the park,
I'm pretty sure to make my mark.
If I'm in bed each night by ten.
I may get back my looks again.
If I abstain from fun and such.
I'll probably amount to much;
But I shall stay the way I am.
Because I do not give a damn.

Razors pain you;
Rivers are damp;
Acids stain you;
And drugs cause cramp.
Guns aren't lawful;
Nooses give;
Gas smells awful;
You might as well live.

Will post some more later.

I did some angsty teen poety too. But I don't like it. My favorite two I ever wrote back in "the day" was about my cat, an my car. I was going to share the one about my cat, but I can't find it. Then I can't find the car one. Grr!

Oh well.

Elemental Interest

Like Fire In My Eyes,
You Soar Through The Skies.
A Bolt Of Lighting,
The Earth Fries.
A Rainy Cloud
On A Sunny Day.
You Made Me Proud
When You Said You'd Stay.
Wet In The Water,
I'm Soaking Wet.
A Day At The Beach
Is Where We Met.
You're Hot As A Fire,
You Burn Like A Flame.
For Me To Leave You
It Would Be Such A Shame.
But You Act So Cold,
Like A Cube Of Ice.
I Don't Understand,
Please Be Nice.
You're Mean To Me,
But Wide As a Sea.
You Act Too Shallow
To Set Me Free.
I'm Leaving You Now,
I'm Out Of Sight.
Leaving You All Alone
On This Rainy Night.
Like A Fire In Your Eyes,
A Burning Heart.
But It's Been The Same.
From End To Start.
So I'm Not Here,
I Never Was.
I Passed Like The Wind,
Blowing Accross Your Gentle Face.

Dec 22, 2001, 12:09 AM
All Alone

This Night,
I'm All Alone.
I Just Finished Talking
On The Phone.
It Was From The Brother
Of My Boyfriend.
He Informed Me His Brother's
Life Has End.
I Hang Up The Phone
And Burst Into Tears.
My Love, True Love
For 15 Years.
He Is No Longer With Me
Where Can I Hide?
I Am So Lonely Without
Him By My Side.
I Fall To The Ground
With My Arms Around.
I Cry At The Floor
With My Heart's Pound.
I Reach For The Sky,
But It's Too Far Away.
I Can Never Get There
If I Am To Stay.
But If I Go,
My Loved Ones Will Feel The Same.
The Same As I Did...
When Death Called His Name.
I Get Up Off The Floor
And Stare At The Moon.
I Pray To God
That We'll Be Together Soon.
A Whisper In My Ear,
A Cold Breath In My Mind.
A Sound Of An Angel
That I Hear Behind.
I Turn Around
His Face I see.
I Fall To The Ground,
He Kneels Down To Me.
He Lifts My Hair
I Didn't Expect This..
But He Takes My Forehead
And Gives It A Kiss.
I Stand Back Up
I Look At Him.
He Turns Around
And Says I Win.
He Disappears
Before My Eyes.
My True Love's
Life Has Died.
But I'm Still Here
And He Lives Inside Me.
I'm No Longer Alone,
No Longer I....I Am We.

And Sugarkitty amazes us again :)
When I write poems, my emotions bring the words to me. To the point that every line of my poem has a very sharp mental image that goes with it.

Thanks for the great poems sugar kitty :)

Dec 22, 2001, 01:11 AM

Dec 22, 2001, 01:20 AM
Hey, write a poem about how you feel :)
I write my best stuff when I'm in an emotional mood.
Which reminds me, I'm going to post all my poems from before, as I don't think some of you have read these yet. Here they are, hope you enjoy them :)

"Abdur's Dash for Comfort and Solace"

As the field is covered in light,
Abdur takes heed and must take flight.
With Lance bracers affixed to arms,
he races toward his point of rejoice.
Ready to swipe and slice,
he does not think twice.
To sleep he must flee, for comfort and solace is for he.
Ya Allah! Ir-Rahman Ir-Raheem!

"Comfort Beckons and Solace Follows"

The night flees from the dawn,
as the light tears its life upon the world.
Every beam of its existance coming at light speed
and dieing in a blink.
Does Abdur take heed?
Does the slave do nothing but submit?
The quest of knowledge, the action of submission has subsided.
Bowing head in patience, the slave reprieves.
Content for another day he was allowed to breathe.
As Comfort and Solace envelope, and in hope of a better tommorow,
the words "Ash Hadu La ila HailAllah" are released from his lips.

Abdur Rahman
---Slave of the Merciful---

"The Dawn"

As the fields length shortens at a steady pace,
As the opposers see his unnerving face,
Contact for Contact, saving grace
Battered and blood spattered,
With a glint and a spark,
Abdur's bracers meet their mark,
Armor, flesh and bone,
shudder under the continuous drone,
Precise and acute,
every blow accounted for,
calculated and absolute,
Another battle done,
another day has begun,
The Slave's search continues,
Comfort and Solace,
their time appointed.

"Comfort and Solace"

Holding still, enslaving my might
Ever thinking, as day turns to night

No contact, seeking to dispense the rage
As sleep overtakes, light fades

A new life takes shape
From housed prisoner to raging power

No restraints, full practice of prowess
Accepted by all, and thanked by many

The self is realised
Fight the ignorant, protect the meak

Ever vigilant, ever seeking to help
Finding solace after the rage

Friends who wish to comfort, and not engage
The fabric begins to tear, this world taken away

To conciousness I have come, torn from my comfort and solace
Back to evasion and aversion, until the light fades

"A Muslim in the House of Kufar"

Shook awake, being told the words "This is crazy.."
Up and around in 5, evasion and aversion are the actions of the day.

Avoiding confrontation, afraid of the word which will ignite them.
Wandering the blurred triangle of confusion, rage and wisdom.

The day becomes nothing but wondering, anticipation.
And with the night comes action, knowledge and submission.

Staying with the light, until the sun rises and the fear comes again.

The Fajr is performed, head to the floor, words whispered for four.

Upon completion, my head to the pillow, thoughts moving at lightspeed.

Contemplation never ends, seeking knowledge from all sides.

Hours pass in minutes, until my eyes can close and conciousness stops.

Shaken awake...

"Dreams of Jannah"

Images of a life not known,
Dance in my mind as I am prone,
Of unknown love, and of gentle caress
Holding them tight, without life's stress
Never ending days, and nights of timelessness
On and on, day and night, tireless
Seeing wide eyes looking through love,
With movements as smooth as that of a dove,
Light bleeds through, this life again
To fear, stress and death, an abrupt end.

Then will my dreams of Jannah come true
patience and endurance, through and through.

Petit Love

Smiling Face,
Cutie Pie Honey.
Blushes On The Cheeks
When Found Funny.
Red Polka Dot
Hat On The Head.
Turns Her Cheeks Red.
Crawling On The Floor,
Hugging Her Teddy Bear.
Sticking Out Of The Crowd
Wanting To Stare.
Sweet As Sugar,
Kind As A Bee.
With A Sting So Innocent,
Refreshing As Tea.
A Kitty Furball,
Yarned Up In A Ball.
Flipping And Fluffing,
Entertainment For Us All.
A Boy Comes Up,
The Eyes, Her Iris.
Filled With Joy,
She Gives Him A Kiss.
A Beatiful Sight,
Such A Cute Scene.
He Hands Her A Cone
Of Strawberry IceCream.
As Sweet As Her,
If Not More.
She Falls In Embarrassment,
As Does The IceCream Onto The Floor.
She Begins To Cry,
No Longer So Cute.
Her Tears Of Joy
Could Fill A Boot.
The Boy Stands Still,
He Feels So Bad.
But He Has To Go Now,
With His Dad.
Left All Alone,
The IceCream No More.
The Day She Kissed
In The IceCream Store.
Blushing Again,
With Red Poutty Cheeks.
She Smiled Continuously
Over The Following Weeks.
She Had Encountered Love,
As The Gliding Dove.
Her Cute Face
And Blushing Smile.
Despite The Sadness To See It,
It Was Well Worth While.

Aww, so cute!

Dec 22, 2001, 01:58 AM
Indeed, yes :)
Spur of the moment poem, and yet still very nice. Good job :)

Dec 22, 2001, 02:00 AM
Want me to pop out another one? ^^;

If so, tell me what the topic should be. Gimme a challenge!

*braces herself*

Dec 22, 2001, 02:03 AM
haha, I don't know. Hard for me to tell you what a poem should be about. Yours are all about love, with some sadness mixed in. I'm pretty sure you are thinking about your own life when you write poems like that. My poems are about breaking out of bondage, settling my silent bloodlust, and of being at peace.

Very hard to tell someone what to write about :)
Just keep writing them though, you have a natural talent :)
You never know when someone will read one of your poems, and it will change their view perspective on something in their life.

Dec 22, 2001, 02:23 AM
Okay, i wrote one. Less time than i thought. If it kinda jumps around, sorry i havent written a poem in over a year mabye 2 or 3.

Hostile Emotions

Seas of emotion open up
They twist and turn inside my head
Reason floats helpless at their whims
Itís left to drown in love and hate

New thoughts and feelings manifest
Old feelings remain weak and frail
To weak to stand up to the test
But fear the journey to hells gate

Full of sorrow and of doubt
A tiny ray of hope does shine
The strength to withstand endless pain
Breaks through the hollow shell of fear

Powered by an unknown force
Strength returns to feeble minds
Fear and anger now left beaten
Still the stench grows ever near

Dec 22, 2001, 02:26 AM
Okidokee, I'll try and do a poem. Abdur style! ^^;

Dawn of The Night Fall

The Loud Explosions,
Gunfire In My Ears.
Yelling, Screaming...
..All I Can Hear.
An Enemy Opposing Me,
For My Life I Fear.
I've Won The Battle
And I'll Stay Right Here.
I Come Out Of The Smoke,
I Hear The Cheers.
Family And Friends,
Over So Many Years.
Emotions Of Love And Crying,
To My Eyes Come Tears.
I Think To Myself
Of What I Hade Done.
Back In The Battlefield,
In Which I Had Won.
The Lives I've Taken,
Could I Be So Dumb...
I Pray To God
To Forgive My Sin.
For This Is A Journey
That I Can Never Win.
I Start On My Way,
Down The Endless Path.
An Unsolved Mystery,
By No Means Of Math.
My Very Existance,
You Must Let Me Know.
Something Like This
Could Not Be To Show.
Reaching The End
Of An Endless Road.
Is This What To Me
Was Wanted To Be Shown?
I See With My Eyes,
A Light So Bright.
The Sun Sets,
It Turns To Midnight.
The Light Still There,
I'm Back On The Battlefield.
I Drop My Weapons,
There's Nothing I Should Wield.
As For Me To Die,
There Is No Hurry.
And Here I Embark
On My Endless Journey...

Wow. That's not very...me. ^^; Suprisingly...I like it! ^^

*goes off to write some more love poems now*

Dec 22, 2001, 02:36 AM
Hey, see, not hard is it Prof :)
hehe, not bad as well Sugarkitty. It's hard to write poems when their nothing about how you truely feel. :)
Stick to what you know though, :D

Dec 22, 2001, 02:59 AM
The Happy End

Finally Together,
You And I.
You And Me Together,
We Shall Fly.
Never Say Never,
And I'll Tell You Why.
We Were Meant For Each Other,
And That's No Lie.
Through All The Hard Times,
We Always Try.
We Plant New Ones
When The Flowers Die.
We Keep Our Chins Up,
We Never Sigh.
We're Perfect Together,
And That Is Why.
Let's Get Married,
You Give Me A Ring.
Like Music To My Heart,
I Hear You Sing.
I Fly Across The Sky,
On Your Massive Wings.
You Show To Me
Such Amazing Things.
I Sense You Presence
Wherever You Are,
I Never Have To Ask Who.
And When Together We Reach The Altar,
You Know That We Both Shall Say...
...I Do.

Okidokee, that was my 5th, count 'em, FIVE poems today. x.x I think that will be all for tonight. ^^; I'll, of course, be back tomorrow with more exciting poems for you to read and enjoy! ^^

Until then, goodnight!

*wonders how many more poems she can come up with before she runs out of ideas*

Dec 22, 2001, 03:02 AM
Thanks for posting your on-the-fly poems sugarkitty haha. A good night sleep and hope to see you back here tommorow. Take care and have fun until then.

Dec 22, 2001, 02:55 PM
Bah... showoffs. :P

Really nice poems Sugarkitty... you have amazing talent being able to come up with things like that in 2-3 minutes... :/

The world is all black and fragmented, unreal
The last bit of sleep losing its touch of surreal
My eyelids are sticky, my hands grind them open
I look at the cieling, it's white.

My leg will not move, I slept on it funny
I slug out of my bed, I'm not like a bunny
I look at the clock, Eight Thirty it reads
I look out my window, it's white.

I can't see the street, only 2 floors below
I can't see the next door neighbor's house
The world has been smothered in a gazillion flakes
All of the prettiest white.

Spiraling downward from mind-bending heights
All of them with one simple purpose, they might
Not by pure chance, but Divine Intervention
Land on a young child's tongue.

Dec 22, 2001, 03:35 PM
Nice one, BlackRose! ^^

Yesterday Shall Be Here Tomorrow

I Wait By The Window,
Just For You To Show.
I Wait Until Tomorrow,
Only Then Shall I Know.
But Yesterday You Said,
You'd Be On Your Way.
I Don't Beleive
A Single Word You Say.
Why Do You Lie?
Is It Only To Me?
Yesterday Shall Reveal
The Answers To See,
But Yesterday's Gone,
And So Am I.
That Is What Happens
When In Love You Lie.

Another on-the-fly poem by SugarKitty!

Dec 22, 2001, 03:54 PM
*Is knocked unconscious by Sugarkitty's Good Morning poem*

My poems are "on-the-fly" too... but still not half as good as yours...

I watch the man out in my front yard
The man I built with my own hard labor
The man for which weather is the wildcard,
The man which will go, sooner or later.

It's 40 degrees out, he's running a fever
I really don't think he's gonna pull through
He was 6 feet tall, now the size of a beaver
His left arm fell off, his legs are all goo.

His material's melting, I realize now
Changing phases from the tiny collisions inside
Speeding up all the while but still going down
But next year, he'll be back; check him on the flipside.

Dec 22, 2001, 04:02 PM
Yay, poetry!

Glad to see it comes back to life every so often.

Ever think of submitting to deviantart.com?

Winter's Gift

The Cold Weather,
Of The WInter Day.
Ice And Snow Flakes
Blow Across My Face.
Buried Underneath
The Thick Snow.
What Lies Beneath,
No One Knows.
Ice From The Skies,
Freezing In My Boots.
Walking Through Harsh Weather,
On My Way To See You.
I Come Up To The Door,
Catching A Cold.
It's Freezing Outside,
But To You I Was Pulled.
Your Essence And Presence
Reach My From A Far.
In The Snowing Sky,
You're The Shining Star.
I Knock At Your Door,
Seeing Your Face.
You Let Me In
To Your Lovely Place.
We Spend Christmas Together,
You Had Me A Present.
Gingerman Cookies,
Everything So Pleasant.
I May Have Caught A Cold,
But I Wouldn't Want To Miss,
This Christmas With You,
Where You Gave Me A Kiss.

Happy Holidays! ^^

(Ahh, the Christmas spirit!)

And the Poet Lady strikes again out of no where hehe. Great job sugarkitty. Pollo, no I haven't thought about submitting to deviantart.com I've only ever submitted one of my poems to http://www.poetry.com, and they've been bugging me to get it published and put on audio CD, but I refused. How about you? You seem like the emotional type, have any poems you can post? :)

Impossible Acheivement

I Have The Goal
I Want To Meet.
I Try My Best
To This Amazing Feat.
Many Obstacles
Along The Way.
But I'm Determined,
And So I Pray.
I Reach A Dead End,
Nowhere To Go.
But I Must Continue,
This I Know.
I Take A Different Path,
In Hopes Of Winning.
I See An Angel,
Beautifully Singing.
I Take This Direction,
Hoping To Be Right.
Yet Another Obstacle
For Me To Fight.
Will I Win?
When Will This End.
An Impossible Challenge,
With No Hand To Lend.
But I Think Of My Friends,
Who Are Counting On Me.
I Beleive In Their Trust
And Am Set Free.
I Continue My Journey,
With Good Thoughts In Mind.
Because I Know In The End,
Everything Will Be Alright.

My current state of thought right now.

Make Believe

I still believe in make-believe
I still believe in fairies
Although it is hard to conceive
I still believe the magic my heart carries

I still believe in a mermaid's song
that drifts across the sea
I still believe in summer's long
I spent up in that tree

I still believe in Santa Claus
and every flying reindeer
I still believe in flying hogs
and with them hope and cheer

I still have conversation with my dog
who talks with me at night
I still believe in winds so strong
that tickle the tail of my kite

I still believe in elven kings
and hobbits with furry feet
I still believe in mushroom rings
when I fall fast asleep.

"I'm not short! I'm FUN-SIZE!

Dec 23, 2001, 01:01 AM

Dec 23, 2001, 01:03 AM

Dec 23, 2001, 01:15 AM
It's got about 5-6 different stories running at once. Has Sean Connery, Gillian Anderson, Angelina Jolie, Jon Stewart, Dennis Quaid, Ryan Phillipe, Madeline Stowe, and Jay Mohr, along with several others. Absolutely great movie.

Falling To Try

I Try, I Fall.
I Can't Get Up.
I Try Again,
But Still No Luck.
I Try And Try,
I Try Some More.
All This Trying,
Down To The Core.
I Fail Each Time,
Why Do I Try?
I'm Losing Confidence,
I Cannot Lie.
All This Trying,
I Try So True.
You Know This Trying
Is All For You.
Let Me Try,
One More Time.
A Try Not Sour,
Try Not A Lime.
A Try So Sweet,
I Feel Like Sin.
But Sweet As You,
This Try I Win. ^^

Goodnight PSOW. More poems tomorrow, of course!

Thanks for the goodnight poems sugarkitty. Have a good night sleep and take care.
Did'nt get my crying session tonight though...but eventually the words will come to me, they are all ordained :)

Nocturnal Driftings

Felt your voice inside of me
begged within for more
held on to what I could
with staggered breath
and vivid wanting in a nocturnal drifting

heat skin touch is what I yearn
something tangible to grasp
to tase, to smell, to fell
to tear away at cloth in a nocturnal drifting

In wanting, in desire,
quivering my soul inside
and you have me
every part is yours
but hold carefully for fragile may break
all in a nocturnal drifting

"A Loving Embrace"

You were there
And I was here
It began out of fear
But now its something more dear
I walk into the door
Never forgetting what we're here for
I hold you in a loving embrace
Wishing it would all end just like this
Suddenly theres a scream
and I'm eternally jerked from my dream.

Dec 25, 2001, 02:29 AM
Yeah, hey there everyone. Kind of obvious what brought this one on. And no, I did'nt have my crying session yet :P
This poem though, could have been so much better. But, I'm here now, it was on my mind, so there it is :)

"I, Eternal"

I've walked the distance of the world
I've seen the scenes, met the people
Like a clam protecting a pearl
I dance the dance of death to be helpful
I span the vastness of infinite
In search of one like me
I look to the sky and see the lights
and wonder how far I've traveled
I know nothing of these material delights
I know only...
Only of my lonely nights.

Dec 25, 2001, 09:41 PM
Hot apple cider punch to my system
goofing my felines out on catnip
I stop and listen to the sounds of the morning
awaiting the household to rise from drowsy slumber
gather around our fire
drink some tea
remember the reason we are sharing this day
I turn, I look, I see
all gifts that have been given to me
that no store could produce
and I sigh relief that yet another year has kept us together

Nice poem doot :)

Although I'm un-able to write one at the moment, nice to read over this thread and see what everyone posted :)

Dec 26, 2001, 08:26 PM
Hmm...just had this running through my head so I decided to post it. Not sure if you'll love it though hehe. Take care everyone, I have to log off until mom's done with the phone. And who knows, maybe I'll get my crying session tonight :)

"Rage of Lost Love"

I run at light speed
Calling your name to the highest degree
From the low cut valley
To the mountain trees
I finally come to your body
Marked with one folly,
A cut through your heart
Put in-place to make me fall apart
Holding you close, even though your soul depart
With tears and rage
I prepare to engage
The point of rejoice is close
Their fortress is their secluse
Busting down the gates
I hear nothing, only "annihilate"
As the cuts are made
Blood begins to rain
Room to room, person to person
No one escapes the slave's partisan.

Hmm... I'm not good with poetry, but I do know a poem.

There once was a girl from Venus,
Whose body was shaped like a...

hehe, your crazy kent. But I think your going to have to give us a poem alot better than THAT :D

*ahem* tasteful as well hehe.

Dreams of Jannah...hmm, an interesting poem. Describing what I want my own personal heaven to be like when I die.

*re-reads kents "Dreams of Jana"..*
uhh hehe...I'm not going to ask what your dreams about...

Dec 29, 2001, 01:13 AM
I'd posted a couple poems a while back. I realized that this isn't the place for it to be appreciated. It's nice to see you guys posting your stuff, though.

Dec 29, 2001, 01:27 AM
You posted some poems as well pollo? I never saw them. Thanks as well though, I hope Blackrose has a good time in Colorado and can share some more of his poems when he gets back.

Take care as well.

Dec 29, 2001, 02:10 AM
I posted them in an older thread. DarkMilita tried a stream of consciousness thread, and then the poetry corner thread was an offshoot of it. Or, I think there was a poetry thread before the stream of consciousness stuff, even. Hard to remember these things, and nobody seems to pay attention to that stuff (including me to my own stuff).

Dec 29, 2001, 02:19 AM
Just remember that people only connect the the poem depending on how well they can visualize the words and what the poem is talking about. Perhaps no one can connect with my poems like I do, but that is because I have the mental images for every line of my poems, I can only hope that someone will connect as much as I do. But if not, there's nothing wrong with it.

Dec 29, 2001, 02:23 AM
I still consider my writing to be akin to masturbating ... it's quite the selfish act.

Dec 29, 2001, 02:28 AM
Thats poetry, you write about what you know best. Even if you think your the only one that knows it..maybe someone will come along and read one of your poems, and truely connect with it. Thats why I post my poems, so people can read them and maybe better understand me and my personality. And if not, no loss. :)

Dec 29, 2001, 02:35 AM
Yeah, I prefer to expose myself by posting pictures of my ass.

Dec 29, 2001, 02:40 AM
heheh, we all know of your famous exploits in the RL pic thread...atleast most of us do hehe.

Dec 29, 2001, 02:50 AM
And the rest of you that don't should look at my ass!

Dec 29, 2001, 03:14 AM
Here we are. I knew I'd get sad enough to bring out a new poem. Fresh out of my mind, here is

"The Life of a Slave Deprived"
I sit here in my chair
Looking over the world, I am aware
As the night breathes and the moon rises
I sit here, talking to friends, there are no surprises
Calculated words, for once barely controlling my emotions
Not reaching out, nor asking for more than I'm given
Just glad I can share these timeless experiences
But only knowing sadness, as the fear stops my senses
A prisoner of my own devices,
is this to make me realise what my place is?
Is the fate of this slave sealed
Even though he does not wish to yield?
I feel I am asking for too much
Even though all I want is the sense of touch
Transgressing bounds, set eternal
I can't help but feel infernal

Dec 29, 2001, 09:50 PM
Abdur, Doot - Very nice poems. ^.^
I haven't posted many lately, so I'll try to begin catching up right now. ^^ Here we go.....!

The Final Kiss

It Is Right Here,
I Do Not Fear,
Because You Are Here Right Beside Me.
I Give It A Try,
I Begin To Cry,
Not Being Able To Win, Finally.
Easy For All,
Makes Me Want To Fall,
When Failure Is Brought Upon Thee.
But Now I Do Know,
That It's All For Show,
As Either Way I Am Lead To Victory.
You Are Right Here,
There's Nothing To Fear,
But I Feel Something Is Amiss.
I Feel Than You're Gone,
No Longer Hear Your Song,
I Feel That I Missed...
Your Final Kiss.

Kinda short, but I needed something to warm me up, yes? ^^; Kehehe....!

Dec 29, 2001, 11:26 PM
Not bad :)
I'm hoping more people begin to add to this thread, but I think once Blackrose and Psylocke start posting, it will get even better. I hope everything is going well for them both. Indeed.

Dec 30, 2001, 12:57 AM
Kitty - brill :)

Pollo_loco - I think I remember the poems you posted, and I thought they were really great :)

I also loved Dark's stream-of-consiousness work.

Abdur - Your poem "The Life of a Slave Deprived" is extremely good. And the one before that was also good :)

Dec 30, 2001, 01:02 AM
Thanks Steve :)
Yes, I try and sum myself up in my poems. Not sure how well I'm doing it...but I think the general idea is given. I'm glad someone is liking my poems as well hehe. How have you been my friend?

Dec 30, 2001, 01:09 AM
Hmm, do want the true version or the happy version?

Hey lookie! Over to the left there! Guess what! I've just realised that the day I joined psow personally was on my birthday. 20th may. I lurked for about a month before that though. Isn't that cool? The fact that it took me so many months to realise though is a bit silly....

And I've just realised that you joined 3 days after me lol :)

~puts up umbrella~

I lost myself somewhere between yesterday and eternity
could it have beeen you were on my mind?
Or was it just the fact it feels so right,
swimming through tomorrow
with my bewilderment and awe
an ocean, a sea of you
grasped what words you said to me last
and forgot my place in life's story
pages turning, golden written chapters
discharge and lull my chaos
hem of my skirt turns into your words
filling with comfort and warmth
as though your fingers are tracing the crevaces of my back
and feeling light kisses on my skin
laughter crowning the afternoon's serenity
tunnels of your eyes travel roads over me
on dew tipped mornings
dancing in dandelions
rushed breath
falling into you, falling inevitably
caught control of the clouds
as my mind wanders towards thoughts of you
I think I lost myself between yesterday and eternity

Dec 30, 2001, 01:49 AM
Very nice poem doot, thanks for posting it :)

I hope I do make you laugh steve, thats mostly why I come here now...just to put a smile on everyone's face even when my days are nothing but loneliness and annoyment.

And yes, I just now realised that I joined 3 days after you hehe, rather interesting :)

Come on now, out with it...whats going on there?

Dec 30, 2001, 01:52 AM
At the moment, 'I can't be arsed' to go into details. My life has been automatically forced into a subscription to hell for far too long.

Dec 30, 2001, 01:55 AM
Hmm...I know how that feels, trust me. I'd like to hear about it when your ready, hear about the situation, and it will help you by telling someone about it :)

Whenever your ready my friend, feel free to tell me about everything thats bugging you :)

Sitting On A Cloud By You

Falling Through The Skies,
I Smile So Proud.
Thinking Of You,
Sitting On A Cloud.
The Beatiful Colors
The Rainbow Shines.
Knowing Your Heart
Shall Soon Be Mine.
Stars In The Sky,
Memories Of You.
The Fun We Had,
Our Love So True.
Nightime's Darkness,
Daytime's So Bright.
I Follow You
Into The Light.
The Moon Shines Bright,
Shooting Stars We See.
Sitting By You, Together,
You And Me.

Must....watch...last...DVD...of...Serial Experiments:Lain.....*egah*

Damnit...family keep getting in the way and hogging the TV :P

Still haven't had my crying session..hmmmm.

Note to Self: Build own room in yard, add electricity.

Actually, thats what mom wants me to do :P
She wants dad to have someone build my own...what could it be called... "apartment" behind the house. I used to think that was a cool idea...but now its not. How long do they expect me to live here?? Nice gesture...but I think I'll pass...

*runs looking for something to do while remaining on the board*

Here we go, just thought of this one. Enjoy.

"War of the Immortals"
Its the middle of the night
It's a test of might
Shields and swords
Clash, over-writing words
The wounds are open with crimson spray
The weak are on their knees as they pray
Glints and sparks
Shields failing as lance bracers make their mark
Screams and shouts of turmoil
As the blood soaks the soil
Howling and shouting at the moon
They wish for their own doom
The immortals watching history
And yet they remain a mystery
They flee from the rising sun
Waiting for their time to come

Wind of Love

Sitting In a Tree,
She Waits To Show.
Across Her Face,
The Wind Blows.
Show To Him,
The Love She Has.
To Be By His Side,
And Forever As.
The Wind Confronts The Girl
Who Sits In The Tree.
It Asks Her Why
So Sad To Be?
She Says She Waits
For The One She Loves,
Be It You To Bring,
By Foot, A Dove.
The Wind Tells Her
She's Very Poetic.
My Name Is Kaze,
Don't You Forget It.
The Girl Stands Up
And Jumps Down From The Tree.
I Shall Search For Him,
For I Am Yuki.
The Wind May Not Bring Him,
Be It You, Kaze.
But I Shall Find Him Myself,
Please, Be Out Of My Way.
The Wind Blows Gently
And Sways Into The Air.
A Cold Breeze On Her Face,
Flying In The Wind; Her Hair.
She Sets Out On Her Journey,
To Find Love So True.
She Will Find Him,
But Doesn't Know Who.
And So Yuki,
The Loveless One,
An Endless Experience,
With Love So Fun.

Who Shall Never Miss,
Her First Kiss
That She Rightfully Won.

Wow... a poetry thread that lived beyond a week... I'm impressed and proud. Well, now that I'm back, it's back to penning.

The Wonderful Inability to Write Poetry.

I sit down to write, my mind begins spinning
I get many ideas of words that don't rhyme
The anger inside of me only building
I ask myself, "Why am I wasting my time?"
I'm thinking of things I'd rather be breaking
rather than trying to write this line
But my mind all-a sudden, has it's redeeming
and I am inspired to go spend a dime.

(Psst... Sugarkitty... is Ayame the same Ayame from Tenchu?)

Jan 6, 2002, 11:24 PM
I used to write good haikus a looong time ago. Does anyone remember how many syllables were in each line? I can't remember.

Jan 6, 2002, 11:33 PM
Very nice, BlackRose! And no, Ayame is my name in real life. ^^;

The Chess Game

The Game Begins,
I Move a Pawn.
Two Moves Later,
The Game Is On.
Six Steps Forward
My Castle Goes.
Out Takes A Bishop,
The Desert Rose.
The Queen Makes Her Move,
The Decisive Game.
She Takes Out All Of My Pawns,
Never Seen Again.
The King Was Guarded,
But Now He's Not.
Now's The Chance For Me
To Get The Final Shot.
I Move Out My Players
In Strategic Formation.
The World Of The Chessboard,
Conquering The Nation.
He Moves Up His Players,
Without Knowledge Of My Plan.
I Take Out His Queen,
Only One Player To Stand.
He Moves His King,
But A Little Too Late.
I Move In My Players,
Check Mate!

Kehehe, a little something different, yes?

Jan 6, 2002, 11:38 PM
Haikus are 5-7-5. Like:

Yellow bird I see
The gray dragon hides wisely
Honor is duty.

(psst.... ayame is a really cool name)

Haikus Are Easy,
The Syllables Are About
This Long, So You See.

Five, Seven Then Five,
That Is The Key To Haiku.
I Want To Hear Some.

Laughter in my head
Rain-soaked road slides swiftly by
I plead, learn to drive

Sorry, I try to amuse myself too much. I'll come up with a better one soon.

I got one..

Roses are Red, Violets are blue.. But poems suck, just like you do..

o.O Jk!

Actually, here it is:

Ever since it happened
Nothing's been the same
People give me glaring looks
No one thinks I'm tame

My friends won't play with me
Please help me get back
To how I used to be

I am not a mutant
Once you've seen my heart
Giving me those looks
Breaks my soul apart

As you can see, the poem is not done. I am still trying to come up with the right ending. It sucks anyways.

Jan 7, 2002, 02:11 AM
hehe, thats an interesting poem Ito. Don't turn it down...originality is the best trait..and originality for us is not possible without its imperfections. No poem is perfect...it suits those who write it :)

Don't short hand yourself, I never liked poems, and I sure as hell never liked making them up..but now its rather the opposite. Keep at it :)

Jan 7, 2002, 03:40 AM
Cold white strands fall free
glows of snow in bright sunlight
Contrast her warm heart

Sorry doesn't have a name. Don't ask what the inspiration is. Just a very good one.

Jan 7, 2002, 03:25 PM
A good poem doesn't need a title... and your inspiration is your own.

Malicious Flower
This flower I see
It lays such torment on me
Ignore my rev'rie.

"I did this one a while back...still one of my favorites."

The Love of the Two

She holds my life in her hands, her life in mine.
What will happen next can be only told by time.
Her eyes give a scent of pleasure,
up to a degree that you cannot measure.
She stares at you only to see the wall,
you stare at her to feel it all.
Her love is a feeling she wants to give,
without her love I cannot live.
Her presence is light and beautiful,
her voice to hear is outstandable.
She leaves you for a small amount of time,
you feel like you're about to die.
She returns to see your sorrow face,
she kneels over and gives it a kiss.
She tells you that good things must come to an end,
but that we may still be friends.
In many years to pass,
the two meet again, atlast.
Their love is stronger than ever,
leaving him was the biggest mistake ever.
The love of the two was pure and true,
the one she loved...wasn't you.

"As for haikus, I never was that great at them, so I'll refrain from posting haikus."

Jan 8, 2002, 01:00 AM
That's a really potent one, kaze... I've been trying to write a good poem in that style for awhile, but I can't seem to do it...

My heart's desirin'
is to shape and form iron
Why here must I stay,
and let my skills wash away?

Instead of Ram's heads
I'm learning how to be dead
Do not sleep enough
I must wade through my own slough.

Gah, sight rhyme sucks.

The Rain Washes Away Your Tears

The Rain Washes Away
All Of Your Tears.
The Bright Clouds Stay,
Wipe Away All Your Fears.
What Tomorrow Will Bring,
You Hope For The Best.
Joyfully You Sing,
A Burden Off Your Chest.
Getting Ready For Sleep,
Wondering About Love.
Beginning To Weep
At The Stars Above.
Wake Up In Your Garden,
Lullabies To Your Ears.
Your Body Begins To Harden
Frightfully In Fear.
The Flowers Around You,
Large Green Tree.
You Ask Yourself "Who?",
You Are Then Set Free.
Silhouette In Your Eyes
Appears Before You.
Breaking His Lie,
You've Been Such A Fool.
Hands Out His Hand,
Never To Miss.
Awake From This Land,
To The Fantasy Kiss.
The Moon Shines Bright Again,
Yet Once More.
As If You've Lost A Friend,
Rain Begins To Pour.
The Rain Washes Away
All Of Your Tears.
The Bright Clouds Stay,
Wipe Away All Your Fears.
Living Life Alone,
In A Fantasy Land.
Wanting To Come Home
To Your Fantasy Man.

Fight or Love

I look at her, she looks away.
I share my feelings, she doesn't care.
I go near her, she leaves the area.
I touch her, she pushes me away.
Why does she act this?
Why does she feel this?
Why does she refuse me?
She doesn't know my feelings, but I don't know hers either.
I reason and request, she does neither.
I try to talk, she doesn't hear me.
I get close to her, she simply fears me.
I see her in a fight that very night.
Surounded by bikers with shining lights.
I enter the battle to defend those I feel for.
She doesn't know those feelings.
I lose the battle and am on the ground.
I hear the girl make silent sounds.
I open my eyes just to see...
I see her lips kissing me.
She begs forgiveness for what she's done.
I tell her I'm sorry I haven't won.
She looks at my eyes and tells me too.
You've won me, haven't you?
I smile back, she laughs.
Forever shall this day last.
Worst night to best night,
Win the girl but lose the fight.
Sad or happy I don't know,
but atleast I'm here with you.

"A bit confused, but hopefully you understand it." ^_^

Very nice poem Kaze :)
Easily understood as well..keep them coming

Jan 8, 2002, 05:16 AM
"Sure, I guess." ^_^
"You post some more poems too. They were pretty cool."

Sky of Wonders

I gaze at the sky and I wonder why.
The one for me before I die.
A girl appears beneath that sky.
With long, straight hair and crystal blue eyes.
She takes my hand and puts it close,
I am the one she admires the most.
A secret crush that she had,
she thought by telling that I'd get mad.
I take her face and pull it near,
close enough for her to hear.
"I have feelings too,
those feelings belong to you."
Her eyes are filled with tears,
she had been alone for years.
She receives my feeling that she had missed,
she puts her lips to my cheecks and gives it a kiss.
She cried herself to sleep in earlier days,
but now she can look my way.
We both lay down and look at the sky,
but now we have ones we love until we die.
Our love is forever,
break up we will never.
And the two kissed on a evening sunset,
never forgetting the day that they met.

"I'm not that that great at rhyming." ^_^;;

Jan 8, 2002, 05:23 AM
Your poems are rather distinct, there's a story to each one..and they feel like they are connected. Thats rather interesting.

As for more of my poems hehe...I haven't been sad or depressed, so those that I posted are the only ones. I wait until I have the flow going for a poem..and it reminds me of something. Each line of each of my poems has a precise mental image that goes with it for me. Not sure when I'll get more inspiration though hehe. No worries, they always get posted here.

The Sands of Time

The sand in the glass still falls
On it's constant, endless course
Given a mission to tell us all
of time's impenetrable force.

Is it a friend, or is it a foe?
For they say that it heals all wounds...
Yet onward it presses, and all things must go
Against time, everything is doomed.

Time is a sword with many an edge
Too many to see them all coming
Time is also an infinite hedge
A million paths intertwining

Time, it is nothing and everything too
It is the sole law of existence
It brings down the mountain, it topples the rule
It obliterates any resistance

But what if we made something to win over time
Something that could last forever
A concept so great, yet so sublime
A love that could not die...

Phew... I'm Legendary now (i think)

(P.s. We may need a new poetry thread... this one's getting so big it's screwing up...)

"Well, poems aren't about making things rhyme or trying to make sense. Poems are writing a story in an artistic view. Poems doesn't have to rhyme, as seen a few times by me already. If you can't find a word to rhyme, then put what would fit the scene best. As long as you give out the feel you were looking for, you're doing good." ^_^
"Here's a perfectly good example."

The Puzzles of Affection

She looks at me,
I look back.
She steps back,
I also step back.
We both turn heads,
we both look back.
I walk towards her,
She walks towards me.
Does she hate me?
Does she love me?
Do I hate her?
Do I love her?
We both ponder,
We both come to a conclusion.
I wrap my arms around her,
she wraps her arms around me.
Is it love at first sight,
Or was there a before?
Does she really love me,
Or do I really love her?
Love has many questions,
Hate has many puzzles.
Do we or do we not?
Can we or can we not?
So many twists,
So many tangles.
All we know now is our feelings.
All we know now is our love.
That is why we are,
And also why we aren't.

Interesting one, Kaku kun. ;p

Greed's Punishment

Standing Alone,
Right By The Phone,
Waiting For A Call From You.
The Phone Rings,
To My Ears It Sings,
Joy To My Heart, It's True.
Waiting Outside,
I Don't Want To Hide,
But I'm Lonely Here Alone.
Open Your Eyes,
I Saw Through Your Lies,
That Day We Spoke On The Phone.
You're Over With,
You're Done With,
I've Already Found Someone New.
You Stood So Stiff,
"Yeah, as if.",
He Loves Me With His Heart So True.
Him By My Side,
Together We Ride,
Towards The Sunny Blue Sky.
Love So Wide,
We Cannot Hide,
Our Love Shall Never Die.
A Letter I Receive
Before I Leave
For A Life Away From You.
The Letter I Read,
It Is You I Need,
But Because Of My Greed,
My Love Needs Feed,
When I Found Out Your Lie...
Was Actually True.

Wow, very nice poems from all of you :D
*still hasn't written another poem yet*
Depression levels not high enough..sorry hehe

Jan 9, 2002, 02:40 AM

the fudge packs high on mount fudge
dont step on it too hard, the packing may budge
a beautiful stream of vanilla cream does spout
when the stream hits between the mountains, the streamer does shout
but one must not worry, the mountains will squeeze together
cutting of circulation in the... pony
but the mountain's structure does seem kind of bony

if adventures you wish for that are out of the ordinary
try getting a job fudge packing... its EXTRODINARY
i know from experience, i once fudgepacked
but now i come to realize its actually kind of whack

so no more fudgepacking for me, because the hours arent flexible
plus once you think about it, that means i'm homosexual

Tch. Ok, give me a 1/2 hour.

I have things to do,
and I must say goodbye.
Some day I will see you,
so please do not cry.

I'm going away,
I'm going quite far.
Where there is no day
And night has no bar.

I'll miss you so much
I don't want to leave
I long for your touch
But alone I must be.

I would never take you
to the place where I go
Dangers all new
and unseeable foes.

I'll be back someday
to see you, honest.
I'll come, revenaient
I'll see you again, I promise.

Jan 10, 2002, 04:24 PM
Hmm... all the way on the second page and I'm posting twice in a row... wierd...

I kneel on the earth
I ponder the sight
I admire the worth
Of a midsummer's night

But all of a sudden
There's a point at my nape
and I realize
that there is no escape.

Jan 10, 2002, 06:07 PM
Sorry BlackRose, I've been really busy lately and Abdur needs his crying seesion. ;p

I'll post one soon, but those poems are really good~! ^^ Keep posting them, people!!

White Flame Of The Night

White Flame,
Burning In The Night.
Glowing So Tame,
Shining So Bright.
Burn While We Sleep,
Keep Us Safe This Year.
Make Not Us Weep,
Let Not Us Fear.
Keep Danger Away,
Safe By Your Side.
See You Today,
You Cannot Hide.
Beautiful White Flame,
I Love Your Burn.
Burning Like My Heart,
Alone And Afraid Of The Night.

There, I didn't make the end rhyme, so nyaah! ;p

Jan 11, 2002, 11:54 PM
Good one Ayame =D

Suck my life away
It seems you live to say
I make your day gray.

Jan 12, 2002, 12:13 AM
I looks around and no ones there
I tell myself i do not care
A friend tries to lift me up
I shrug and walk away alone

I push myself so far away
To be alone another day
And say that im just fine that way
Then turn and wipe a single tear

I fall a victim of my plan
Sucesseding more that i had thought
Left without a helping hand
and dreaming one might come my way

Jan 12, 2002, 12:44 AM
Some Time i ask myself
why im blessed with this talent.
some time i ask my friends for advice.
some time i ask my mom for advice
all she can say is
"me no fuck u fuck u too!"

hmmm ok it doesnt mak sense ok here let me try it again...

i feel lonely
i dont know why
do i fear the sky?
i fear to deny,
how did i get here?
i wonder why
am i going some where?
is that a rhyme?
i feel denied
yet some how high
is that a prediction
or is that a vive?
am i just stupid
or is that shrine.

ok if you understand this let me know
i sure the f*** dont...

Jan 12, 2002, 12:53 AM
So... you let the first one slip, and blip out the second one? I don't get it any more than you do...

"Loving Rampage"

It seems like infinite sunsets,
I've sat here with my hands outstretched,
Reaching for one to love,
Only to watch them fly away like a dove,
Unable to fly so high,
I'm stuck on the ground, watching the night sky,
The stars seem so far and distant,
And yet here I sit, so hesitant,
I'd climb the highest mountain,
Even fight the strongest Shaitan,
To prove my love, and un-dying devotion,
Blood drenched and marked by blade,
Eyes screaming bloodlust, as the light fades,
The night could not hold my rage,
A relentless fury as I engage,
Night after night,
Onward with the endless fight,
Always seeking for that long love lost,
Through searing heat, deafening rain and blistering frost,
Until at last, taken by old age,
or the sharpened edge of an enemies blade.

Damn...glad I finally got that out. Hehe..how longs it been since I wrote a poem? Hope you enjoy it :)

Jan 12, 2002, 09:47 AM
Hey, I like that one, Abdur. Think I'll try something other than a haiku next. Btw, can anyone tell me why I can't view the last page in the thread after it's gone past 50 pages? I like this thread, and I'm worried I won't be able to see the most current posts if it gets much larger.

Jan 12, 2002, 11:55 AM
If the "last page" doesn't show up..or gives an error..it means the forum just generated an extra page that doesn't have any info. So, the last page with anything posted is truely the last page :)

Jan 12, 2002, 11:07 PM
'Loving Rampage'

Abdur, thats your best poem yet. As I read it through the first time, I could identify with it a bit, and thought it was great. The second time, I realised that I can really relate to it; certainly the first half anyway :)
Keep them coming :)

Sugarkitty - Will you be writing some more poems any time soon? I love to read them, you have a great style.
*Is still amazed that you write them 'on the spot'*

Jan 12, 2002, 11:20 PM
"Wobba's Love"

I love you
Do you love me?
are we together?
thats a big maybe.
i really love you
but then i dont.
do you feel happy
with me being here?
or is this just a dream
hoping to come clean.
should we get married?
or maybe not
do you like pie?
i sure dont
but that doesnt stop me
from being a clone...
am i really here?
is that really there?
will we ever be together
i shall always dare.

Jan 12, 2002, 11:27 PM
Well, if you ask, I shall write one per request! ^^

Reminescant Of You

Undeniable Caress,
Unbearable Delight.
Here In My Lonliness,
Without You Tonight.
Shedding My Tears,
Bearing My Heart.
Scared Of My Fears
Of Us Being Apart.
I Lay In My Bed,
Love So True.
Of Me And You.
We Were Together,
Of You I Was Fond.
Break It Shall Never,
The Love We Bond.

Jan 12, 2002, 11:48 PM
Wow, thats so nice, I love that.

And you're doing requests? I'll take 500 to go please. Yes, I would like to go large. Just divide them between love, life and nature. Thanks :)

Jan 12, 2002, 11:57 PM
1 mississippi, 2 mississsippi, 3 mississippi, 4 mississippi, 5.....

This is not the treatment I deserve!! ;p
Kehehe, I'll do one...one a day, 'kay 'kay?

Jan 13, 2002, 12:07 AM
Indeed, great poems. And thanks as well Steve, :) I had to get that one out so I sat here listening to an anime mp3 until I got the words. Keep them coming everyone :D

Hehe, just kidding there Sugarkitty, but keep them coming :)

*wishes he could write poems*

Jan 15, 2002, 03:16 PM
I'm bumping this..I've let it get almost to the third page. It's the first time I've ever bummed a damn thread, considering most people do it quite frequently.

I'll be putting up a new poem as well..I intend to get my crying session this week..
(How do I know? Because I'm renting "X" on DVD, and trust me...that movies hella sad at the end..)

Shank you..come again..

Jan 15, 2002, 06:27 PM
ABDUR cool a more serious poem, but very good use of language
wobb urs just made me laff
sugar yours a thinking poem, very good but not much good to me at 11 30pm.

Cool...I'd like to see what you're going to write after seeing that. No offense, but I suffered a severe case of maniacal laughter with all the 'head-holding' scenes. I guess after the first one, the sadness had worn off. I did think that it was horrible how destiny and others' plotting had brought Kamui to what he had to do though. I saw it heading that was halfway through, and kept saying "No way. That'd suck waaay too much,"...no such luck. *sigh*

Jan 15, 2002, 11:58 PM
A thread that requires bumping is a thread that should be posted in, kehehe! ^^;

Holding Tight To Love

Laying In The Plains,
The Garden Of My Soul.
Playing In The Rain,
Stories Untold.
Playing With My Heart.
Make It Stop,
I'm Torn Apart.
You Never Told Me
How You Felt.
I Was Locked Tight In Mystery,
Steel Belt.
There You Held Me,
Tight In Your Arms.
Never Let Go,
But Torn Apart.
Our Love Is Destroyed,
Gone In Thin Air.
Twidling My Fingers
Through Your Cold, Black Hair.
Although You're Gone,
And No One Was Told,
Our Love Always Showed
For No One To Know.
Give Me Your Hand,
With All My Heart,
And Then I'll Never Let Go.

"Finish Line of Forlorn"
We're racing toward the finish line,
We're dieing a second at a time,
From the day we're born,
We've been inching the line to forlorn,
The dawn and dusks are a blur,
Trying to understand what we're here for,
We've reached the void of space,
We're reaching the peak at a steady pace,
From the lowest stars to the deepest bowls of hell,
The soul, is it really yours to sell?
When the angel comes without regard,
How are you going to hold up, with-hold and guard?
Will his coming be tidings of joy,
Or is your life still just an over-acted ploy?
From the Jinn who walk the distance of the worlds,
To mankind and its un-nerving free-will,
The angel of death does not repel,
A second is not wasted, heaven or hell.

As a muslim, I was obligated to write this. Always in reminder that we will die at any moment, one must remember to try and be the best person he or she can be. I'm not quite sure what spurred this poem on though, haven't seen "X" yet, haven't even gotten out to rent it yet. Well, either way, enjoy :)

Jan 16, 2002, 06:10 AM
as quick as petals open
a thousand fingers walked
drumming marches on dunes
on snare drums

rhytmic sussurations
played out on cream sands

bristling with cat-tails
sprouting from cream sands

as slow as bees fly
a thousand fingers ran
thundering marches on dunes
on snare drums

tides foam on cream sands
glistening on cream sands

Jan 16, 2002, 07:53 AM
Sit, stare at the walls as my mind turns circles
In a haze of my own smoke a vision may rise
I remember, that to just know was a miracle
Too much to take at once I surmise......

Have to get out, to go dancing with friends
Pulsing lights, pounding beat drown out the thought
For a moment I forget the pain of loose ends

Bleached waves reflect a beam into my memory....

Now I'm younger and see the crisp winter
Heat rises off my neck as I stumble over my words and through snow
A shy smile, before leaving, her eyes meet mine and glitter....

Home, and all the energy drains and I lay awake
The club's room still spins around me, and beyond,
I see where I want to start, the future I want to make...

It's a trip, to rush faster than light through my mind
And it always ends in a flash of white light...

Sorry folks. Forgot a word or two. I write these on the spot, so I guess I'm not perfect, neh?
I've upped my standards....now up yours!

Nice to see some new ones as well. Now, if you'll excuse me, Kazaa wants some attention....

Jan 17, 2002, 11:03 PM
Rather interesting what depression gives to you huh?

"Tortured Existance"
Sitting, holding head in hands,
Listening to a song, as if the world understands
Thinking, silent, begotten,
Feeling as if the world has forgotten
Trying to feel human in alien surroundings,
My memories and emotions, constantly hounding
Watching the sun set at the horizon and wishing I were there,
Trying to reach for a peice of paradise, but pulled back by fear
My nights of submissions,
Bound by my convictions
Death is a welcome blessing to a tortured existance,
And yet, it is something that won't happen this instant
How long can the slave stave the whispers of Shaitan,
Standing outside the Divine light of protection
Chasing the moon, a repeating circle,
To think it can be beat, its too superficial
Ya Allah...where do I stand?
Ya Allah...in which hand?

Very good, everyone! ^^

Searching For Love

Knowing My Destiny,
Since The Day It Came To Start.
Memories Of My Family,
My Home As We Part.
Off On My Journey,
My Friends Along My Side.
Not Knowing What Type
Of Adventure We're To Ride.
Mystery, Adventure,
And Battles For Us To Fare.
Puzzles On Our Journey,
And Love For Us To Share.
Continuing Down The Path,
Knowing I Cannot Turn Back.
Learning From My Mistakes
And Gaining What I Lack.
But What I Lack Most
Is Supplied Only By You.
It Hurts To Say,
If Only You Knew.
I Want To Explain My Love
Before The Journey's End.
To Show My Feelings,
As More Than Just A Friend.
Our Adventure Is Over,
Now's The Time To Tell.
But You Leave So Quick,
Without Wishing Me Well.
I Search All Over,
Up And Down Forever Long Time.
There Are No Clues Of You,
Leaving No Signs.
Time Has Passed,
I Still Wait For You.
I Wanted You To Know My Love,
So True.
The Doorbell Rings One Day,
Opening It I'm Suprised.
I See Your Face,
Staring Into My Eyes.
Tears Appear,
Sorrow Is Shown.
He Explained It All,
If Only I'd Have Known.
But It's Okay Now,
There's Nothing You Missed.
And On That Very Night
Was The Night We Kissed.

Jan 18, 2002, 12:31 AM
Abdur: Yes, it is interesting what inspiration people can glean when they're depressed... very nice use of it =D

And the pen of Ayame strikes again... amazing...

Jan 18, 2002, 12:46 AM
Experimentations with rhythm and metre to follow.

Jan 18, 2002, 12:51 AM
HA! u think ayame's poem is good? look at this:

there is a woman talking alot.
i turn to her
and say:
"if i wanted you to move your mouth, i would have unzipped my pants."

the end

Jan 18, 2002, 04:57 AM
Oooo...Ayame I like that one a lot. Kinda gives me hope, neh? I am definately looking foward to reading more from you.

Well, I'm up late and listening to music and getting reflective...maybe I'll get another.

Jan 18, 2002, 06:04 PM
Robby Cascade, who could hardly get laid,
Wrote a "poem" meant to slander
After much abuse
Which is a good excuse
He got the bitch-slappin' back-hander.

N.B. This is not my experimentation in rhythm and metre.

Jan 20, 2002, 10:16 AM
Ok, I meant to go sleep, but I had to work this one out....(work in progress)

The endless barren path
Of lightning and thunder
The wishes of one; me
By the many, torn 'sunder

Too far to run there
Not even a destination
Dear me, I've lost it
Not a hint of restitution

Find it by yourself;
Be patient, you will find her
Screaming in the rain

Now the vision brings hope yet now fear of the worst; must I always meet
my dearest in pain?

Jan 20, 2002, 10:30 AM
Every time I come to this thread, I feel more and more of a burning desire to strangle SugarKitty.

I wonder why the prose thread never took off? Nobody has the time or inclination to read/write prose?

Jan 20, 2002, 10:32 AM
Forgive my unwashed-heathen-ness, but if you could describe prose, I'll give a go at it...

Jan 20, 2002, 10:35 AM
prose (proz)
1. Ordinary speech or writing, without metrical structure.
2. Commonplace expression or quality.
3. Roman Catholic Church. A hymn of irregular meter sung before the Gospel.

BlackRose made a thread. "Lying Awake - Prose," I think it was called. It only got a few replies.

Jan 20, 2002, 10:52 AM
Hmmm, I'll try it. Maybe even try to resurrect Rose's thread. Not now tho...way to tired, and looks like I'll only get 5 hours sleep. Sounds like just the style I should try...

Jan 21, 2002, 12:43 AM
A prose thread is superfluous.

Jan 21, 2002, 10:26 AM
Not entirely... it'd be superfluous if people only posted real stories, then argued about how bad their life was. Which isn't the intention of it.

Jan 22, 2002, 06:49 PM
I don't know how to take that comment Rotis, so I'll leave it at that. ^^;

Great poems everyone! For a change, I'll make a poem that doesn't have to do with my usual subject, seeing as I'm not in that type of mood right now. ^^;

Acheiving A Fantasy

Lying Atop The Tree Branch,
A Distant View Ahead.
Certain Wind I Cannot Catch,
Cool Across My Forehead.
Breezing In The Springtime's
Cool Autumn's Fall.
Staring At The Sun Shine,
From Dusk To Dawn.
Leaving My Station,
High Above The Clouds.
Only This Situation
In Which Makes Me Proud.
Through The Trees,
Outside The Forest.
Down On My Knees,
Where I Get My Rest.
Off In Wonderland,
Nature Takes A Turn.
During The Time I Cannot Stand,
My Heart Begins To Burn.
An Insomniac, A Nightmare,
Asleep In My Wake.
A Story, Wishing To Share.
Sleeping Atop A Lake.
Ripples Of Water,
Opening My Eyes.
Visioning My Fantasy,
The Lake In Which I Lie.
On My Own Two Feet,
Following My Dreams.
Secrets To Keep,
Away From Teams.
On My Own Now,
Inspiration By My Side.
Taking Back The Towel
That I Through Into Time.
Off On My Own,
The Path I Chose To Take.
Realising My Dreams In My Sleep,
Acheiving Them In My Wake.

This one is kinda like the ones all of you have been doing, so nyaah! ;p

Jan 22, 2002, 09:25 PM
hehe, great poems...Indeed.
Here's my latest entry in my Poems.doc made just an hour ago. And no, I STILL did'nt get my crying session, never got the chance to watch X even though I rented it..*damns everyone else hogging the tv, even at night*

"Knowledge- Saving Grace"

I sit with head down, eyes closed,
Laying with my heart fully exposed,
Will you listen to my words, saving graces,
Or will you not heed, and fall from these great places,
Working to make right my wrongs,
Weaving in and out of lifes throngs,
While enduring my lonely nights
Dreaming of my paradise,
A place of timelessness,
Where my true love is, no vices.

Jan 22, 2002, 10:25 PM
The Lights

Two lights and the rest is hell,
there are no angels here
If only there was another way.
Every day I feel like this,
no courage to act upon
where does that leave me?
I can't live like this,
I can't believe its real.

Its not often I write poems, but I just felt like writing this. I'm not sure if its finished or not, but theres what I've done.

Jan 22, 2002, 10:41 PM
I can tell somethings bothering you my friend...come on..what is it?
Maybe a pm eh?

Jan 26, 2002, 12:48 AM
Good, everyone! ^^

Vision of A Beautiful Mind

Love, What Is Love?
Why Do Two Love?
Why Can't I Be With You
In The Stars Above.
Hate, What Is Hate?
Please Don't Hate.
Don't Hate My Life,
Eaten Up Off My Plate.
Happy, Being With You.
Happy To Be Near You,
Happy To Be By You,
Please Say It's True.
Sad, Being Sad Is Bad.
Don't Let Me Be Sad,
Don't Let Me See Sorrow.
Keep Me In Your Arms Tonight.
The Stars Above Is Where You Love Me.
Here In My Garden Is Where You Hold Me.
Sad In Your Arms, Eaten Off A Plate Of My Life,
Vision Of A Beatiful Mind.
Shining Rainbow,
Beatiful Colors.
Pretty In The Sky,
But Not As Pretty As You.
Raining Day,
Tears On My Forehead,
Dripping And Dropping From The Sky.
Our Love Is So True.
Here With Me Tonight In My Slippers.
Scrubbing My Feet In The Tub.
*squeak* Goes The Ducky, Mr. Flippers.
He Knows You're The One I Love.
Too Many Words To Describe You,
Too Many Descriptions To List.
Explanations Of You,
Lost Throughout Time.
Remembering The Day Of Our Kiss,
Vision Of A Beautiful Mind.

Umm, err. @[email protected]

Kehehe, I think I need sleepy-bye now.

Wee, good one Ayame! The inconsistent stanza length added a tad of uncertainty to it, which I like.

Interesting rhythmic devices, too, which seemed to counterpoint the surrealism of the underlying metaphor. Also the humanity of the poet's compassionate soul which contrives through the medium of the verse structure to sublimate this, transcend that, and come to the fundamental dichotemies of the other; and one is left with a profound and vivid insight into...

...something or other...

(now quick! Where'd that come from!?)

Jan 26, 2002, 09:36 PM

*reels back and kicks thread in the ass, knocking it to the top again from page 4*

PSYLOCKE IS BACK! That means a lot more poetry!!

Feb 2, 2002, 07:17 PM
Yep, yep, yep. I am indeed back. here's a new offering:

All I Miss and Fear

I still feel the hunger
The pangs of all I lost
Haunt me in my solitude.
I still hide in the shadows
The light of your eyes
Seeks me out in my solitude.
I still long to escape;
From my past...
From my future...
From the intensity of your love...
Even as I crave it.
I run from what I cannot explain
I run from what I am not accustomed to
I run from what I want most.
The hunger grows within me.
I hide in this darkness
Stealing through the shadows
Silently pleading to be free
Free from the confusion...
Free from my solitude...
Even as I embrace it...
As I wish I could embrace you.
Never to escape
Never to be free
Never blessed
Or damned
To be with you in your light.

Feb 2, 2002, 07:26 PM

Feb 2, 2002, 08:10 PM
I sit and I wait
but noone comes near;
I sit and I listen
But naught do I hear;
I sit and I shudder
but I have no fear;
I sit and I cry
I have lost something dear.

Feb 2, 2002, 09:39 PM
Short and sweet, Rose. I like. I rarely do short, but...here's one I found:

I am a wildfire spreading fast
I am a beast roaming the forest
The wind blows gently
but I am fierce
Fear me...as I fear myself.

Feb 4, 2002, 11:00 PM
Wow, very nice! All of you! ^^

I Cannot Love Without You

Alone On This Night,
Holding On Tight,
Wishing For You To Come.
To Save Me,
To Love Me,
To Set Me Free And Hold Me.
Where I Want To Be
Is In Your Arms With You.
I Want To Kiss Your Lips,
I Want Our Love So True.
I Want To Be In Your Arms When I Cry,
Spread My Wings And Help Me Fly.
I Want To Be With You Until The End.
You've Always Been To Me Much More Than A Friend.
I Want Your Love, I Want You Near,
But I Cannot Love Without You Here...
With Me.
So Come Now,
And Set Me Free.
Morning Comes,
I Wait For You.
I Need Your Love Tonight,
Your Love So True.
Love Me Baby,
There Is No Me Without You.
Don't Say Maybe,
I Need Your Words So True.
Because No Matter What I Do...
I Cannot Love Without You.

Woo Hoo! nice one =D

Anniversary day

I hear your voice
and footsteps approach
I hear you enter my doorway

I open my eyes
and see you right there
My heart, it simply combusts

I love you so
you cannot believe
I miss you when I blink

You take my hand
pull me out of my chair
lead me over to the table

On which there lie
so neatly arranged
A candlelit dinner for two

Neither of us
lay a hand on the food
we talk about our marriage

Twenty five years
are now all behind us
You're still as radiant as ever

I get champagne
pour it into the glasses
We raise them for the toast

Our glasses clink
but before we can sip
I must first give you my speech.

My darling, I love you. From the day I met you
I knew you were the one. The day I told you I Do,
was the happiest day of my life. Then, and still now,
My wish is only to spend each and every day of my life
By your side.

A tear falls slow
Down the side of your face
As we get up for the waltz

I take your hand
and I hold you so close
As the music starts to play

We dance and dance
i wished it would not end
but then the telephone rang

I answered it
The voice was of my son
Choked up with tears, he only said

Happy Anniversary, Dad.

Next thing he said
made my blood run all cold
My heart ground straight to a halt

Are you coming to the wake?

I jerked round to look
But by then you were gone
Merely a dream, only a dream...

(Still AFK)

Devilish Promises

He promised me laughter
He promised me love
He promised I would soar
On the wings of a dove.
I believed him, I trusted
It was all in vain
Instead of this wonder
I received only pain.
Laughter was forever lost
Only silent tears were mine
Love became an impossible dream
In the voidless space of time.
In the throes of madness
I sought to fly
Climbing higher and higher
To touch the sky.
I thought I had wings
Of course, I did not
And now here I am
In this hole left to rot.
He stole my laughter
He stole my love
He took my life
Where was my dove?

Feb 4, 2002, 11:22 PM
"Divine Rage"
I look through the glaring light,
I see the enraging might,
Heaven rent asunder,
As the lightning crashes with thunder,
The Angels and Shaitan in mixed melee,
Wing and divine blood falls before me,
The lamentations of the winged species,
War cries echo through the air, like broken glass peices,
Setting on the sidelines with the power to unite,
I'm the deciding factor on who goes to hell tonight.

How about that eh?

Wow. Abdur that rocked!!
Hmm...let's see...of the poems already in my pooter (which isn't that many, I'm lazy!) which can compete....?
Ah! here we are!

Here it lies;
A piece of glass.
Like me.
It cannot cry
it has no tears.
I can cry.
I do.
Locked inside myself
Alone in my misery
It seems like all I do.
I broke this piece of glass
I crushed it in my hand.
My blood fell, too.
I felt the pain
I pushed it away.
I can ignore this kind of pain
But the kind you give...
I can't ignore.
It cuts more deeply than the glass.
I am broken.
Here in this silence...
This darkness...
I lie with the broken glass.
I am dead...

Feb 4, 2002, 11:37 PM
Wow, all three of you, very nice! ^^
I likey, I likey!

I Am Your Angel

Atop The Highest Mountain,
Peering Down From Above.
Pouring Like A Fountain,
Our Waterfall Of Love.
Spreading My Wings To Guide You,
Assistance From Any Angle.
Share With Me Your Struggle,
For I Am Your Angel.
I Help You See,
When Without Light.
I Give You Strength,
When Without Might.
I Lift You Up,
When On The Ground.
Treasuring The Day
That You, I Found.
Stay With Me,
Gluide On My Wings.
Come And See
Maginificient Things.
When You Want Down,
I'll Gladly Land.
No Need To Thank Me,
I'm A Helping Hand.
Disappear Into The Sunset,
Spread Your Wings Wide.
Let Me Be Your Angel
To Fight Against The Tide.
Beatiful Feathers,
Like That Of A Dove.
I'll Be Your Guardian,
For You, My Love.
Step Onto My Wings,
Our Love Will Never Tangle.
I'll Be With You Forever,
For I Am Your Angel.

Ayame, that was beautiful! Now I have to go look for a happy poem!! *grins*

Feb 4, 2002, 11:44 PM
No happy poems from me...just resentment, emotional torture, and me praying for death :D
Oh..and of course the poetic murder and lost love..but what would you expect from Abdur?

Feb 4, 2002, 11:50 PM
Found one!

Forever and Always

Forever and always
My heart will be yours
Until mountains crumble
And waves cease to crash upon distant shores
It was mapped out in the stars long ago
That it should be you and I
Since before time began
And for long after we have died
Always I have loved you
And forever you will have my soul
For since finding your love
I have been made completely whole.

Feb 4, 2002, 11:58 PM
Thank you very much, Psylocke! ^^
Kehehe, very nice poem there, as well.

Eye of the Storm

I sit in my chair, and I try hard to listen
To you, and all your great stories of fun
Times that are gone and shall never return
Things that are set, and all said and done.

It's as if I have taken my seat in the center
Right in the eye of a hellish maelstrom
The storm rages around, yet I cannot move
Trapped where I sit, right where I came from.

I hear all your stories, all in the 3rd person
I want nothing else but to experience
these situations of which you speak
But it seems that I alone am too dense

...toilet water, I know...

*rolls eyes*

Wow...beatiful, BlackRose.

There Is No Me Without You

I Stand Here In The Middle Of The Breeze,
Holding On Tight To What I Know.
I Sit Here Down On My Knees,
Freezing Myself In Snow.
I Torture Myself, If Only You Knew.
There Is No Me Without You.
The Wind Swiflty Lifts Me Off The Ground,
A Desert Rose For Which You've Found.
But This Rose Needs Nuturing And Care,
For It Does Not Exist Without You There.
The Rose Is I, For Which I Came.
The Desertless Sandstorm Without A Name.
Not An Existance, Not Even There.
Nothing Else To Be So True.
Existance Is False, It Isn't Fair,
There Is No Me Without You.
Wandering The Plane Of Non-Existance,
Search For Me And Feel My Pain...
Don't Doubt Our Love, There Is No Resistance,
Search For My Petals In The Lonely Rain.
The Breeze Blows Them Away, Out Of Your Grasp.
What You Could Reach Before You May No Longer.
You've Miserably Failed This Simple Task,
About The Desert Of Lonliness You Wander.
Wishing To Come Upon Another Desert Rose,
You Shall Never Find Out Who.
The Person, I, Who It Was,
Who Cannot Live With You....My Love.

The Love That Was Not Meant To Be

Love was not an option
Love was not a choice
Two worlds too far apart
Two hearts without a voice.
It was not meant to be
No matter if they tried
Love was their destination
Love was to be denied.

One beat of each herat
A single moment in time
Two pairs of blue eyes met
Who knew love was such a crime?
With a smile it was begun
Witha kiss their doom was sealed
The error of their bliss
Was soon to be revealed.

As time went by she realized
That her feelings were not true
But she couldn't bring herself to tell him
"I'm not in love with you."
Deep inside he sensed it
Deep inside he understood
He knew she did not love him
He knew she never could.

Thoughts ran through his mind
And then it was his turn
To discover with surprise
That he was not in love with her.
She could see it in his eyes
Could feel in his embrace
That the love they thought they shared
Had never really taken place.

This is the story of a tragedy
Of a love that proved to be wrong
And though it did more hurt than good
It made the two hearts strong.
Be careful who you care for
Be careful whom you love
If you don't think love hurts
I'll tell you now it does.

From the mists she arises
An ancient goddess long forgotten
Arms outstretched she rises
This lovely goddess long forsaken.
She glows in the pale moonlight
The radiance of a thousand candles
She lifts her face to the silver light
And shines in the gentle beams.
Awakened from an endless slumber
The goddess is returned to Earth
Revived by the growing numbers
Who called for the goddess's rebirth.
Stepping out of the mists of time
Our goddess has been reborn.
Returning to her children from the void of time
Through her resurrection we are all reborn.

This is one of my more spiritual poems. Hope you enjoyed!

*reads poems*

We need a funny one, I think...
One day I came down from my pad
Looking to find something rad
I did not ask my dad
He'd say I'm doing something bad.

One day I came down from my house
I wasn't wearing a blouse
I was wearing a suit of a mouse
I hope I don't get seen by a grouse.

One day I came down from my flat
In the summer, dressed as a rat
Amid the squirtguns going "blat"
I needed a tatami mat.

One day I came down from my home
A destination came up as I roamed
I went in, and scratched my dome
The place was entirely chrome.

One day I came down from my dwell
I found a place that was swell
I can see that it is not a hell
For it is a place with no bell.

Feb 6, 2002, 06:15 PM
This is a poem i read a while ago.

I made myself a snowball
as perfect as could be

I thought i'd keep it as a pet
and take it home with me

I made it some pajamas
and a pillow for its head

Then last night it ran away
but first it wet the bed...

Feb 6, 2002, 06:18 PM
I've heard that before, don't remember where, though.

Feb 6, 2002, 10:02 PM
Well, here's one I just got out tonight. Listened to my inspiration show afew times with my head down and eyes closed. Maybe 30 minutes after I woke up too.

"A Dreams Embrace"
Laying with eyes closed,
Your arms around my chest,
To you my heart is exposed,
Enjoying your loving caress,
This night seems eternal,
You seem so close,
Without feeling infernal,
Your embrace I chose,
Tears forming in my eyes,
Your touch is enough,
Knowing deep down there were no lies,
To make the angels cry in naught,
The day break screams,
Slowly your embrace fades,
And again I'm taken out of my dream.

Feb 6, 2002, 10:08 PM
Damn good... but are you sure that wasn't the Love Fest you had goin? o.O

Half of me

Dear loving parents, I owe you my life
You brought me here, you help with my strife.
You provide for me always, both clothe and feed
You give me all, fulfill my need

But why do you do this, splitting apart?
Each taking half, each take your part
I am no different, with a crack like thunder
It seems that my soul has been torn asunder

You give me two lives, say I can choose
But I cannot, I must serve both rules
And when I come up with just half of me
It isn't enough, and it must not be.

Feb 6, 2002, 10:13 PM
hehe, no, it wasn't the love fest that was playing. And very nice poem...reminds me of my mom and dad, trying to get me to choose sides all the time. I'd choose neither before I'd choose only one.

Very nice :D

Feb 6, 2002, 10:42 PM
Wow, very nice. Every single one of you! ^^

Melody Of Inspiration

The Act In Which I Demonstrate,
An Act Not For One To Hate.
Dancing In The Flowers,
Twirling Round And Round,
Passing Away The Hours To Beatiful Sound.
The Music In Your Ears,
Dance Away All Your Fears.
Twist And Twirl All Night Long,
Move Your Body To The Song.
The Song In Which My Lips Sing,
The Beat To Which My Body Moves,
Music Is Such a Beatiful Thing,
When Two Lovers Get On Their Grooves.
Patience Is The Key To Rhythm,
A Beat That Swept The Nation.
But The Night I Had Danced With Him,
Was The Meoldy Of Inpiration.

A bit short for my standard, but unique of course.

Feb 6, 2002, 10:52 PM
Short but sweet... nothing wrong with that...

(short and not sweet)

Feb 9, 2002, 12:36 AM
Right off the top of my head while listening to my last show hehe.

"The Midnight Blues"
I sit with my feet cocked up,
The blues rolling over the air, thick enough to fill a cup,
I sit and I listen,
as these tunes make my eyes glisten,
The rolling melody, the heartfelt beats,
Strumming the cords, as I tap my feet
The rythm and the soul,
Go hand in hand, no need to pay the toll
A night is gone,
The blues are done,
Day light comes crashin,
They pull me out kickin and thrashin
Onto the street I'm thrown,
and to home the wind I am blown.

Feb 9, 2002, 03:34 AM
I like that one, Abdur... =D

This one fell out today at school.

I hop my horse and ride
I leave very soon
There's nothing for me here
I'm coming to see you

Problems far behind
Left where they began
I'm free of that which held me
there in that forsaken land

The road, it is hard
But my heart is light
My yearning for you
Gives infinite might

I'll take on the army
I'll break down the wall
I'll scale the cliff
to be there in your hall

I can't bear the wait
I spur my horse faster
To be there with you
And live happily ever after.

One pasion, one truth
It all seems so vage....

Stained In Embarassment

A Secret Wanting To Be Told,
My Heart Soon To Be Stold.
A Message Delivered By You,
This Love, Is It True?
I Sit Against A Wall,
You Stand Tall.
With Your Arms Around Me,
You Try To Say What You See.
Your Emotions Hide The Truth,
Your Embarassment Hold Back False.
I Try And Sound Out Words,
Soundless Speech Are Said.
My Emotions Keep From Saying,
With Our Minds It Is Playing.
My Mind Is Stained In This Arrangement
As I Am Stained With Embarassment.

Standing Here As I Act Shy,
Standing There As You Ask Why.
The Words Won't Come Out,
We Can't Explain Our Feelings,
Nor Can We Show Then.
We're Stained In Embarassment,
Stanined In Love,
Stained In Each Other As We Miss.
We Miss The Day We Can Explain Our Love,
The Day That We Kiss
Under The Stars Above.

Here With You Is All I Need,
Once We Kiss, Together We're Freed.

I live by the twilight
What else can I do
A feeling so strange
when I talk to who?

Evil eyes surround her
Will the seal ever break?
Peace forced uopn my mind,
My weakness I'll never wake

Where am I now?
The promised land too far
My angel lives in heaven
Here, another hellish bar.

(I'll talk to you soon Abdur lol)

Great poems everyone :)

Never looked back,
But maybe you should have.
The road was paved for you,
It was there, straight ahead
but you could never see it.

You cherished the thoughts
Of others, never thinking
That you were someone too.
You see the tides and currents
Of your life. You see how
People have changed, how
You have changed, but
It slips through your mind
And sinks to the bottom,
Never seen again.

There may have been something more,
Had you seen your surroundings.
Your story ended, but it was not as you hoped.

Feb 10, 2002, 01:50 AM
...I lied. ;p

Enigmatic Request

The Night Sky's Sun Rises,
The Midday's Stars Shine.
Come And Go Days Full Of Suprises,
Your Selfishness Is What Makes You Mine.
Sweat Drops Run Down My Cheeks,
On This Cold Day Full Of Brightness.
Off On My Journey For Two Weeks,
Sent Of To An Island Of Delightness.
Rain Drops On My Forehead
In A Desert Storm For Two.
Lightning Strikes The Roses Red,
Wind Blows The Violets Blue.
The Dry Ocean Is Where We Stand,
Sailing Through The Cold Earth.
Holding Onto My Lonely Man,
While I'm About To Give Birth To A New Day.
And So We Pray For The Night Sky's Sun To Rise,
As The Midday's Stars Shine.
For Me To Ask Is Wise,
To Ask If You'd Be Mine,
That Would Be An Enigmatic Request,
An Upside Down Quarter In Time,
Flipping Turns And Making A Test,
Between The Love Of You And I.

Hope you all liked it~!

Yes, Abdurs totally right Blackrose.

Feb 11, 2002, 05:24 AM
Weee..on the fly...muahaha..

"Night Sky"
The rythm of the stars,
The beating of the heart,
A constant motion, working to the beat,
My mind is flowing, as I walk down the street,
So small, part of something so grand,
Contemplating my worth, as I look into my hand,
To my left and to my right,
I see great sights,
But nothing as extroidinary as the sky of the night.

Feb 11, 2002, 09:36 AM
now THAT was cool. =D

*stares at the sky*
*remembers it's daytime*

Feb 11, 2002, 12:23 PM
"The Reflection"
I wipe the moisture from the mirror,
I see the uttermost exterior,
The emotionless stare,
The unyielding glare,
This is not me, true,
I'm much deeper than you,
You say nothing of my past memories,
You give no hint of my vast summeries,
And yet, as alien as you appear,
Your the only thing I have besides fear.

Look...another one on the fly.

Feb 11, 2002, 12:30 PM

Theres nothing more depressing than being depressed, and writing a poem because of that, then losing that poem. Especially if you thought that it was pretty good and were proud of it. Which I was.
How about this instead...
[*deletes*, because you don't wanna read this]

...Oh well, nevermind.

Well, here's my stupid, useless poem...

~The Strider Hiryu Theme~
By Washu Tanooki Saotome

He's the coolest ninja around...Hiryu!
He's the best,
he's the kookiest,
and he makes great turkey!
So swift he's just a blur,
and all he does is save the world...
Cuz he's Hiryu!
It's the Strider Hiryu Show!
It's Strider! Strider! Strider Hiryu Show!
Comming on tv through rain, sleet, or snow!
What time is it cuz I don't really know!
It's the Strider Hiryu Show!
He's the coolest, rawest, newest, swiftest ninja ever!
Strider Hiryu! Strider Hiryu! Strider! Strider! Strider Hiryu Show!

Feb 12, 2002, 10:09 PM
And another....

Soft, feathery, and cute too...
They love to eat greens,
they like to chew on shoes!
Smart, cunning, and yellow mew,
and if you treat them right,
they'll love you too!
They're chocobos and that's no fib!
Mess with them and you signed your death wish!
They're chocobos and that is that!
They'll kill your bugs,
and they might strike back!

Feb 12, 2002, 10:12 PM

Feb 13, 2002, 12:24 AM
Nope, I have a bad memory...its gone forever grr.

*Can't wait for Abdur's next poem*

Feb 13, 2002, 12:36 AM
And yet..another on the fly. And no, I'm not telling who this is about, so HAH!...yeah.

"Silent Acceptance"
The day passes into night,
And still I know nothing of this worldly delight,
I'd run the distance,
But I don't want to seem persistant,
I'd grab life and tell my feelings,
But I'm afraid you'd end up reeling,
I hide my true thoughts,
in hope that you won't think of me in naught,
So I sit here, quiet and forlorn,
Waiting for your acceptance to be born.

Feb 13, 2002, 01:03 AM
..I like the way I can relate to most of your poems Abdur. Thats another great.

*Is pretty sure he knows what the poem is about*
If only I could wave a magic wand and sort things out.

...If only everything could be deedidelydoo more often.

Hahaha..forget to dot your i's and cross your t's eh?

(Those Sent Forth)
The storm is forming,
The sea is foaming,
The wings are howling,
The angels are bowing,
Wings in fixed position,
Light their only composition,
Transgression not within their grasp,
Eternal, present, future and past,
Unyielding, always in submission,
Doing naught, except by permission.

And yet, another..on the fly. Post #300 for this thread.

"A Slave's Legacy"
The rush of the air,
The grass and trees a blur,
Running full on, silent,
Waiting for the first contact, distant,
What once was miles is yards, now feet,
The sparks fly as our bracer and shield meet,
A mixed melee,
In favor of me,
Death is not a bother,
A welcome blessing which isn't much farther,
Will it be you who gives me peace,
Or will you fall like the rest of the beast,
I feel you linger, slow and gasp,
You should be careful, it may be your last,
Your not as worthy as you seem,
Blow for blow, contact for contact, can you redeem,
Your metal faulters, your step gets lost,
To the ground you go, upon my edge your tossed,
Your gasping, but its too late,
You should have surrendered, can you see heaven's gate,
You fall to the ground, prostrate,
Not to my blade, or the angel, but to God are you now delegate.

Yeah, I got bored, but luckily I've been getting some new music ready for a show, and this is what you get out of it. On the fly of course, as I listen to the songs hehe.

NICE... I'm liking that one.

When life is hard and you feel alone,
We'll be with you as motionless as a stone.
You never need to shed another tear,
And you have nothing else to fear.
When the world seems to be a crock;
Your friends are firm as a rock.

to all my friends, from Lucky
p.s. this was writin on the spot special for you

"Timeless Warrior"

Your in my sight,
I hope pain is your delight,
The world is a blur, your crystal clear,
With one swift motion, you begin to sense the fear,
Have you heard of me,
Has the angel let you see,
Even the shaitaan run,
Will you wait until I'm done,
The sun has set,
Its your life, are you willing to bet,
Your soul strains at my presence,
Can you feel my essence,
The ground and heavens shake and thunder,
At the brink of being rent asunder,
The moonlight shines off your face,
The sweatdrops, down you they race,
Look into my timeless eyes, see my stare,
For your sword, do you dare,
Your pulse is erratic,
Your breathing is sporadic,
The sunlight shines over the sky,
It is now your time to die,
You see my figure fade,
Then you taste my blade,
I'm behind you, did'nt you see,
Thats your blood on the ground,
Can you hear that sound,
It's your heart stopping,
Here comes the angel for your soul,
Will you give him glad tidings of joy, or will you scowl,
It doesn't matter, I'm moving on,
You were just one in a line that spans eons.

heheh, yeah, another one on the fly while I was bored. While listening to Disturbed, "The Game". Thanks Hulex hehe.

Feb 16, 2002, 11:34 PM
Omg, I loved that one Abdur :)

*was gonna put down a poem...but its shite oh well another time maybe*

Feb 17, 2002, 09:35 PM
Damnit, no more "not putting it down because it sucks ass"...put it down! It could be the best damn poem we've ever read and you scrap it :P

Your not being judged, you put down poems that you write. Express yourself, let it out.

And I'm setting here with a headache, so no new poem for you hehe

And I know thats the only reason you came here o_O

Feb 17, 2002, 09:52 PM
a flicker of pain arouses your senses,
its been a while since you've felt like this.
Dulled by a false sense of reality,
false dreams, false ideals.
You are an icon, a person of trust,
yet, are you really this?
You are loved by millions,
but can you love yourself?
Another day, you see their faces.
They look to u as person better than them,
a person who can make it better.
You are disgusted.
written on the fly, i just let it flow... hope you like it...

Feb 17, 2002, 10:45 PM
Ah, yes..nice.

"Eternal Loss"
I lay on my bed, eyes closed.
I feel you come near, lay your head on my chest,
The rythm of my heart beats through you
But do you love me too,
I feel you slip away,
You wave your silent goodbye,
I jerk awake, hand outstretched,
Gasping for breath,
I've lost you again.

On the fly, as always.

Feb 17, 2002, 11:20 PM
we should compile a book entitled PSOW poems... now we need someone to publish it lol

Feb 17, 2002, 11:21 PM
I look back upon that thought
I've had so many times
How did the time pass?
I never thought it would

It seemed an impossibility,
yet now I know it wasn't
I'm a changed man now,
wishing the new thought
could be made real as the last

Its a loop destined to end
Yet no end is in sight
I wish there was another way
I wish I could grow wings and take flight

The promised land is just too far
The gap in my life to hard to endure
Another if only, to give myself more
I'll get there soon and tell myself again

On the fly. Thats all. And thats another great poem Abdur :)

Feb 17, 2002, 11:29 PM
