Kinda Ironic isn't it....
But for real there must be 3 or 4 different topics about this and on each one there are the People that say yes it does effect drop rate and there are also the ones that say no it does not..
I say we do runs.. some with hacked mags and others without hacks and tally the results.. and then as long as people are honest we can have some sort of answer... maybe not a perfect answer but better than this he said, she said Bull..
Anybody up for it? Is it a Good idea/Bad Idea

The problem lies in quantintative analysis in a game that relies on sheer luck. Just because two people run through a game and hit LV 200 with hacked mags and find 1 rare a piece means nothing. Does it mean that hacked mags affect rares? Maybe. It could just be that the game chose not to pass out those rares in those particular cases (unlikely, but possible), and there is no effect.

In order to have a true quantintative analysis, we need a couple hundred samples taken, which will balance out the "luck" factor, making the study what it is, a study in numbers. I really dont think enough XBoxers care enough to run through the game with a hacked mag.

Agreed Arislan.

I've been trying in earnest to "test" this damn theory with my hacked Racaseal and it is tiring.

I would like to know the answer, but holy smokes, I want to use my time finding good items, not chasing smoke trails.

Perhaps it is time to leave this crappy issue for what it is - grab the baggie, scoop it up and throw it away.

Anybody want a used hacked Racaseal?

At least she got me 16 lovely new Ratis.
