How about Metal Mantis Death Circuit? My friends and I came up with it when we made a mockumentary about a washed up 80's metal band.

I've always been a fan of the name Turtle Lamp.

Just ambiguous enough to be indie, but tangible enough that pop fans could be interested in.

And of course, Scott Adams of Dilbert fame suggested Tubular Luggage in one of his books.

The guy I share an office with at work says that if he ever starts a band, that's going to be its name. Some sort of a metal band. "FIP" is a term used in Topographic drawings (produced by Land Surveyors) meaning, "Found Iron Pipe".

Actually, two of my friends at school were thinking of starting a band. I told them that they should be a hair band named Fire and Ice.

Cause y'see... one of them could scream "I am FIRE!"

And the other one goes... "And I am ICE! Are you ready to rock!?"
