Well, you know...
I'm feeling pretty cool now that I beat [vers.1]Hard Mode Vol Opt with my level 40 hunewearl. Now just where can I find weapons like the double saber, holy ray, etc....

Best place for double sabers are V-HARD ruins, but I think they're only 9 stars. You won't find many 10+ star weapons in version 1, if any at all. Your best shot would to be try to find s-beat's arm in HARD mines.

best place to find Double Sabers, Redria or Oran Mines, you should be able to find at least one per run. The rest of them, well... it's all about luck. In v2, the v1 rares dropped alot, don't get me started on Skyly Caves, it was Sawd City. If only the red weapons series dropped like that, they were only 9 stars....

Alright, pardon my ridiculous newbie aura, but when you say double sabres are best found in the Redia or Oran mines on Vhard, you do just mean that's where they're most common, correct? I have a Yellowboze RaMar that found one in the
Ruins on NORMAL (V2.) Any section ID can find any rare item, with a less-than-zero percent chance, true or false?

True.

Section ids determine the % of finding rares. Although, certain items are restricted to certain section ids, most are not.
