and yes, those people really are a shame, here's my solution:

Take them into a large open field in the middle of nowhere.

Shoot them in the leg. Make sure you hit that one big important artery.

Drop an instruction manual next to them with instructions on how to save their life and get to a town for help.

Those who deserve a second chance will recieve it on their own accord.

Maybe he just doesn't like to read. o_O My cousin just bought Metal Gear Solid 2 (again) this past week, and he did the same thing. He sat at my house trying to figure out the controls for a good 45 minutes because he forgot how to play the game. Needless to say, the manual was about six inches away from him...>_<

I have a better idea. Let's offer everyone in the world a trip to the Sun. If anyone complains that it'll be hot there, we'll just tell them that we'll be going at night. Anyone dumb enough to take the trip obviously isn't intelligent enough to deserve to interact with the rest of the world.

I read the manual. It used to be because my older brother would always play the game first and I wanted to get some idea of the story or whatever while I was watching... but now it's just sort of habit.

I've seen countless reviews by supposedly profissionals where they point out the flaws in the game when they didn't bother to read the manual.

E.g.:

Reviewer #A) "There is no option to do blah blah, in this game, which can result to moments of deep frustration"

In the manual: "Access menu 1, press A, and select the options suitable for blah blahing."

Reviewer #B) "I spend hours to find out which button to use item Alfa, without having to access the goddamn menu".

In the manual: "The shortcut button to directly use an Alfa item is button L".

I would read the manual if they were COLOURED! Dammit why isn't all US game manuals coloured? Black and White manuals are like the most boring manuals in the entire universe. Not only are they black and white, they are also completely not interesting and reads like a dictionary.
