Am I correct in assuming that my EP3 HL will work with EP1&2? Also do I get a 30 day trial with EP3, or should I just register with my copy of EP1&2 to claim it?

For what I know, it is the same HL for both games. Exactly the same one. So yes, You would get 30 free days with any of them.

You can play both with 1 HL. The one that comes with Ep1&2 has 30 days free. The one that comes with Ep3 does not.
So, start playing with Ep1&2 and play both games 30 days free.
Note: I know this for the EU version. I expect it to be the same for the others, although I don't know it to be a fact.
