Well for people who have rented apartments might know, when you are moving out they will start showing your suite. Usually they give you a call and tell you when they are coming, you wear something over your undies and wait for them, stopping whatever porn movies you are watching or try to refrain yourself from scratching your butt with your toes for a while.

Last night we got a call from building manager-type person called at 18, telling us someone is coming in 5 minutes. Okay. Both bro and I were napping at the time. We both woke up and try to look like we are not zombies. An hour passed, and I wanted to have dinner, so I called manager again. Well, they didn't show up.
This morning, damn public holiday too, manager called again saying someone is coming in on 13. Okay. Woke bro up around 12. Bro cranky and angry. Waited for 30 minutes, another no-show.

Dammit people! If you made an appointment you will know people are expecting you! This is not an office, we are not on our best behaviour or looks any time! If you can't make it for some reason, at least give them a call so they can go back to whatever they were doing. :/ Stupid, inconsiderate, dumb-asses. GAH

That is very irritating indeed. You should complain to the manager and threaten him by not paying your bills. Or make it that you sabatoge his scheme to sell your apartment haha

It wasn't the manager's fault tho, it's the people who doesn't make their appointment serious. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif

Well the people might not know that it's your apartment they are showing. Most places have models they show.

Your manager should charge them for making no show appointments... thats what the health workers do when people show up late or no show for an appointment heheh.

I feel sorry for the people who get so little time to be prepared when people come to view their flats. While looking for one last year the guy didnt even warn the people tht we were coming with him. We walked into a girls room while she had her underwear laying about the place (much to her embarresment), walked into a room only to here 'Who the fuck are you?!" from the confused occupant and also caught someone asleep. We decided not to get the plac ein the end cause (A) it was a dump and (B) we didnt want the same treatment.

Well, when my mom and I got kicked out of our town-house (I loved that place) a couple of years back, we were given 1 month to get out. See, we were renting, and the owners were in a mood to sell sell sell! They were in such a hurry that they felt the need to put a huge f'ng sign in our patio. They brought a lawyer type guy with them and made that lawyer tell us that even though we still lived in said town house, we were obligated to show people around our house should they ever pass by, regardless of whether we were prepared or not. We were simply told that IF anyone ever came by the house they would pass by between 12 - 9 pm. Yeah, wow, great, the whole day...

The first family that passed by one day seemed nice enough and so we showed them around. My mom even managed to sell some insurance to the woman that was looking around our house with her husband (haha, suckeerrssss). Two weeks after this, people really started showing up alot. That's the thing though... they would always look through our windows to see what was inside, rather than knocking on the damn door and asking to come in. It was a very degrading experience. The last week we spent in our house, we got a knock at the door. We were absolutely tired of all these fuckers constantly coming into our house, loitering outside, invading our privacy, pissing off our dog, and just plain existing in our lives, so we felt like just not answering. We closed the blinds and went about our business.

Oh, but what's this?
Lady: "We know your in there! Let us in!"
Us: "..."
Lady: "We were told you would let us in if we came by at this time of day. You have to let us come in to look at least"
Some fat guy: "Yeah, we just want to see your house! What's the big deal?"
Do onto others as you want done onto you...
We open the door.
Guy: "Oh, hi, we thought you were dead in there or something..." *starts walking towards our door*
*nearly about to take first step through door*
*I slam the door in fat fucks' face*
Me: "GET THE FUCK OFF OUR PROPERTY!!!... ASSHOLES!!!"

Seriously... we always paid the rent on time, we were always curtious and wellmanared with the town houses' legal owners. We figured they were nice people too, until they just kicked us out for no reason. Why should we have to show a bunch of strangers around our house when we obviously have other things to do, like, oh, I dunno... pack our shit cause were getting ready to move to a shit house somewhere out in a shit city thanks to our shit landlords. FUCK THAT! It was cute at first, but seriously, that last couple seriosly asked for it.

Damn... that felt good to get off my chest.

Oh... so yeah, I know how you must feel navi. Just hang in there, and feel free to treat shitty people like the shit they are should they ever show up and mistreat you. It's your right as an Ameri... errr a Canadian. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

There is laws against that here.

They need to inform you of their intent to enter, and it need to be at a reasonable time, and you don't have to agree to the time they specify, within reason.

While this might be true for selling condos or a new apartment building. I think it might be common knowledge that when you rent an apartment that isn't available until August 1st, there is people living in it. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

People are just inconsiderate dum dums. Er. Some people, anyway.

Once earlier this year our landlord desided to show some lads around our house without warning. Unknown to our landlord though. My two housemates had just finsihed their final January Exam and had Hot Boxed the Living Room and where in a fairly mashed state.

So the landlord knocks and Ed (the housemate in the less worst state) answers the door shouts oh shit and runs to the living room to hide the gear they have been smoking for the last 4 hrs.

Brilliantly he hides it on the side in the kitchen. The landlord then proceeds to walk into the smoke filled living room with 4 first year lad. Pretending that the room isnt a complete dump he walks straight through into the Kitchen spots the gear and quickly moves onto showing upstairs. Just before leaving the Landlord says 'Thanks lads' to the reply of Sean (the other housemate) trying in vain to answer just falling confused off the sofa.

Suprisingly those first years didnt get the house and the Landlord never made a suprise visit again.

We ended up finding that out when the underwear girl came along and started having a proper go at the guy showing us around. Quite embaressing for us lot to have to stand and watch this girl bash the guy we may have been renting from. And thinking about it it wasnt even a reasonable time, im sure it was past 21:00.

When we use to live in an apartment the maintanence use to knock on our door at anytime saying that they need to fix things and we didn't even invite them over. Some things they were fixing things that were ridiculous cuz they worked fine. ex: our toilet, blinds, carpet, our microwave. Not only that though but when they were looking at things they were trying to control what we do. I play the trumpet and when i was playing one of the maintanence said "will you please stop playing". I was like how the hell are "you" gonna tell "me" what to do in "my" apartment that i pay "rent" for (well my mommy does). They use to also tell us to put our dog(a pomeranian) in the bathroom because it was "distracting". They also told us that we need to spank it. Not only that but we caught one of them drinking MY CHERRY KOOL-AID!!!!When that happened all hell broke loose. I called the manager and she said that they were obligated to that. I was like WTF!? When they found out i called the manager they started coming over on purpose( 10:00 p.m) making bs lies on what they need to fix. I was like two can play that game so i started messin up stuff while they were fixin it on purpose. I remember one time i "purposely" tripped over one of the guys glass of water and broke the glass. Then i played my trumpet wherever they were at. Then we let our pomeranian bark at them all the time. And i remember one time i was eating ice creame and the maintanence guy was sitting down on our floor fixing our vent(which had no problems with it) and i let the ice creame melt and fall on his bald head. He got mad at me and i cussed him out and at that time i was like, i think 8 yrs old, and my mom didn't care. We eventually got evicted for "disturbing the neigborhood, hmmmm, and we moved into a duplex. Which is way better lookin that those cruddy apartments with badass kids in them.

I think she thinks I am being difficult. Dammit, it's Saturday and a lot of people have late friday nights, even us nerds! Gaahhhh... so now I am up against my will.

Dammit.
