Obviously it doesn't.

It actually does make more sense later in the series, but at first its hard to grasp what the hell is going on. Its wacky, fun, sarcastic, painful, growing pains, thrown in with a vixen of a crazy yet very adorable...uhmmm... girl.

Heck, Akira still doesnt make complete sense and its been out longer.

Sofar that is. Remember in Japan anime is released at an alarming rate, it takes a long time to even see 1/4 of all the stuff they have. And they most likely send the mainstream stuff, due to the belief that they fear we may not understand it all...

It may just be me, but I think the person who does Guu's voice does Haruko's voice (both in the Japanese versions, of course).

Also, Naota sounds a lot like Hare O_o

Furi is cool and refreshing, like a crisp mountain spring, but it isn't my fav. anime.

I dunno what mine is, but I have a thing for space operas.

Operas is a funny word.

no its called BB code and actually spelling the word correctly in the first place. BB code isnt case sensitive http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif try writing the BB code in all caps, you'll see what i mean.

By the way, it has 1 s and 2 p's http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

so then, explain how No utilizes the left and right side of the brain to open up an interdimensional portal capable of pulling things from light years away, then explain why Haruko had to keep hitting Naota for it to work.

Also, here's a bonus question: Why does she talk to the cat (it's kind of obvious, but most people fail to see it)

When i saw the commercial for FLCL, i said:
WTF?

That's why i don't watch it...

...then again, i don't watch most animes because of the "wtf" factor.

the bell on the cat's collar is a communication device. She's reporting to whoever her boss is, remember that she's a first class police officer or whatever she said.

Now I'm not a big anime fan and I haven't watched very many but what exactly does FLCL stand for?

Saciel
Jul 3, 2004, 07:11 AM
furi kuri doesn't really have a meaning as far as I remember... tis just a nonsense word like sqooshamabloog or spronzoigle...

^_^ or I guess you could just use it as a playful expression to use when teasing others with limited knowldege

space_butler
Jul 3, 2004, 07:23 AM
but is it as brain-melting as excel saga or puni puni poemy?

Saciel
Jul 3, 2004, 07:29 AM
O_o if you want brain melting and cuteness induced commas... then Bottle Fairy is for you...

space_butler
Jul 3, 2004, 07:39 AM

I'm pretty sure Furi Kuri means "swing the bat" I believe I read that somewhere on the official site

Kadavreski

furi kuri episode one.

there is plenty of confusion about the meaning.
