I'm not trying to badmouth GC or influence anyone. Just listing what is reported not to be so good about GC PSO Trial currently.
_ No Item transfer offline in split screen (source : Official Trial Board)
_ FSOD and loss of items (hey.to/PSO june 6)
_ Lousy AI (Official trial board)
I hope some players will finish VH offline and have a taste of ultimate. I'd very like to know if it's as silly as DC's (IMO, that is : ATA gap, techs doing zilch damage, find rate of rare)

i doubt anyone will be seeing ult. From what i understand its normal mode only and levels have been capped to 50

I knew about the lvl 50 limitation, but not about the level of difficulty.
I guess the trial is only to validate the network.
(now that I think about it, it surely was called network trial on the ST site some month ago)
They didnt intend players to have input about the gameplay after all.Ah well...

I didn't know about the no item transfers offline... That really sucks. I really don't like waiting for people I know to get online so I can unload items to another character.
The game has always had lousy AI. Odds are enemies will use the same strategy of attacking and trying to surround you.

Well, if two chars are on the same mem card and you have two controllers, can't you just do the transferring yourself? Also, the only monsters on the game that weren't stupid were the Sinow series.

Not really. The sinows are pretty dumb. The only thing that made 'em harder on Ultimate mode was that they were armored. You can still lure them behind other enemies and attack them with a hit-all type weapon w/o putting yourself in harm's way.
Every sinow has the same pattern. If they're far away, they'll leap at you. In which case you can just take a few step to the side to attack them from behind. Even the invisible Sinow Blues aren't that hard since they always come at you in a straight line.

That is you being smart, not the sinows being stupid IMO.
Turning the sheer number of opponents to your advantage.
If not for this technique, lone forces would have a hard time in some rooms.
Because a shifted hunter will always do damage on a debanded s-beat, but a force wont.
What I call lousy AI for example,is monsters stuck by an edge, and continously walking against it, incapable of doing anything else.
A few lines of code would have easily and quickly fixed this.
as a side note, I remember when we were 2 FOmarls in winback mines ulti mode, and we had to withdraw. Couldn't win against five (5) Red S-beats in the big room with barriers in quadrants.(no invincibility mag of course).
They kept each other shifted and debanded, not to mention resta.

They may have made the shinow's stronger with shifta/deband/resta, higher HP and more defense in ultimate but they still repeat the same pattern over and over until they die.
Well this is probablly rather close to the final version. This isn't really a beta but a network test so...
