What the heck is "@"? As in, "60@"? No currency that I've ever heard of, although I don't get out much, nerdy teen that I am.

FKL's currency.
And possibly Bob's evil twin.(You'd have to look back for that one...)

Woah. There's a lot more to this FKL culture than I thought. It's like you guys have developed your own civilization, away from the rational thought of the rest of the board (coughwhoamikidding).

None of that matters! All the culture of FKL you are going to see now is how well the undertaker ties a noose!

I'm still trying to get a feel for the atmosphere and way things are done here. Trying to figure out what's kosher, what's incredibly retarded, stuff like that. I know it's fun to just post for the heck of it, but there's got to be a way to do it without coming off as having a nine-year-old intellect.
EDIT: For example, do I entertain Ted's game, play by his rules, or do I try and be witty, brush him off, etc.? I have much to learn from the masters of spam.

I guess the extremes to avoid are angsty, heartless, cruel jerk no one wants to talk to and obnoxious, childish, babbling moron that no one wants to talk to. Somewhere in between will do nicely.

I suck at FKL because I am unable to turn off my brain. Most people just think of something totally random, post it, and then get one sentence replies or another random response. There is no real system to FKL, basically, don't say anything useful or anything pertaining to pso and you'll be fine.

I was sort of hoping there was more to it than that. Well, I guess I could trouble myself with learning all the in-jokes. That could take a while - are there any FKL historians? Give me a succinct, yet complete history of the postings of the members of the Fresh Kills Landfill?

Glad you asked. There is actually a series of programs coming on to tell about that stuff (yes, FKL does have its own TV channel).
