Abusive Assholes

Well I've been online for 2 days now and already I've seen my fair share of abusive assholes.

On Vega Excalibur repeatedly spams his 'Euro SUX' symbol chat message while other fools like to spam their own messages and sound effects. Ignoring crap like this is easy enough but I do wonder what these idiots are hoping to achieve. Also there are a lot of 'cussing matches' on Vega which all involve the traditional 'your mum!' type remarks that 10 year olds seem to enjoy using all the time since they think it will piss people off rather than making themselves look pathetic. Also a couple of people were making anti-European remarks, particularly anti-French remarks. Most of them were actually quite well founded arguments for hating Europeans such as:
'EURO RELLY SUX!!'
'Fuuck all Europeans!'
'Fuuck all French, I owned all French here'
'What dignity do the French have being ruled by a woman?'
'Yeah an ugly old woman too'

Noting nobody actually wanted to play the game, I moved off to Spica and noted the block was rather empty, even by EU standards. Soon I was greeted with a buggy looking word select message and my game froze, emitting a beeping noise. Apparently I had just been 'FSODed' but it came at a convenient time since I decided I had enough crap and nobody seemed interested in actually playing the game.

So where do 'People Actually Interested In Paying ?5.99 A Month To Play Online' do so?

I take it you were not on EP3 yet when about 10 guys started characters with names like "Arion=gay" and "Arion=fuck" And spamming "Fuck Arion" symbol chats.

This happens all the time in EP3. It's really sad actually. Vega EP3 was at one point at least, worse than Vega EP1&2.

Yeah, that was a great run! One big leap towards getting my RAcast to ult so I can search for the Yas weapons and start tearing some fleshy Ragol denizens apart http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif. Was great fun too, especially since I'm used to playing solo online due to the lack of nice people to play with (or rather the abundance of assholes) =/.

The shortage of decent people online means that sifting through the hordes of dumb fucks to find someone actually worth playing with even more rewarding.

Problem with people on EP3 though is they either don't exist (I mean all the blocks are virtually empty, and thanks to SEGA deciding to total EP1&3 and EP3 users on player counts I can't find where the hell anyone is) or they turn out to be complete asswipes. Since most of the people around here seem at least pretty decent, where do you guys play in?

Bleh GC ep 3 US ships are awful. There is the "RR" now which constantly spam and try to FSOD other people. Then you have other newbs that just like to spam the sound abilties and other symbol chat. Wish people would just grow up

Yeah, I heard Spica got some trouble with annoying behavior. But on everage it seems ok. I even play at Polaris 1 (first block of first ship) regularly without any of the problems I hear of Vega 1...
And when a newby finds out the sounds, I don't think of it as so weird that they try'em all and spam'em for a few minutes because it's so funny when you hear it for the first time.
But you're right. Why don't these wankers grow up and see that there is no fun in pissing off others?

I could bet my life on the fact most of these adolescent morons who persist in annoying others are by nature bullys, with the crack down with in schools and society on such behaviour they have turned to doing the same online, hiding behind their keyboard, having no authority figure to stop them, they take pleasure in tormenting other soles just so they can make themselves feel superior.
Any person with half a brain knows they are only making them selves look stupid, in the end they will get board of it and move on, or by a miracle they may mature and rise above such behavoiur, either way we wont have to put up with it to long, so just ignore it, move to a ship where you find serious players. Also its normally mummy and daddy paying the hunters licence, so these kids dont care if thay are wasting money doing this.

Personally I disagree. i haven't been on the GC version of the game yet, but I have been on the DC for a long time and let me say you get your fair share of dick wads.

I don't think these people are bullies by nature in fact I think they are more likely the ones that say nothing and ARE bullied at school. They see PSO as a "safe" forum for them to vent their frustrations because no-one can physically whack 'em across the jaw.

Rest assured that they all have "issues" with mom, have incredible small penis' and if they were confronted by a naked woman that said "well come on then big boy!" They would shat their pants and run a mile back to virginsville US of A.

Well, I thought it was common knowledge that for each territory Ship 1 Block 1 is a danger zone. Since it's a likely place for people to enter, assholes tend to go there and sit and wait for a chance to do their worst. I never play at a ship 1 block 1, for this very reason.

If you want to complain about these things, a mail I got from Sega Yurp on the subject told me to write down the name of the character, the ship, block and lobby, as well as the time, as precise as you can, including the timezone. (If you can write down the beat time that's even better, but that may be a little hard after the fact.) If you can get a hold of the perpetrators GCard, you should write down the big number on it too.
Mail these to Sega Yurp with a discription of the misbehavior and they might look into it. (Well, actualy, they won't look into it, as they don't control the servers. But they can ask Sonic Team in Japan to do it) I'm sure if they get several complaints about the same person at pretty much the same time they'll ban the wanker. Do take care to get all the data. They have to go through big logfiles to find it, so any information to narrow down the search will help.

Quite the problem. Its sad that I spend half my time looking for someone to play with only to end up on a Jp ship. Then I enter a game and they all leave.

But there are those times when you join a random team in a tourny to find out that person is really nice and swell (haven't used that word in a long time) and they want to tourny with you again. Then you keep playing with them and keep winning and winning and you feel good. Then right before your beamed up to play the last game your FSODed by <-Demon-> only to never see that player on again. Its horrid.

There actually a time when Demon was in my lobby and I think he tried to FSOD me. That really weird Word Select came up with my name in it, yet nothing happened. I sat there and was warped to my tourny just fine, in tact.

Oh, and I havn't heard sound spammers in a long time. Last time I heard it was a few weeks after the game's release.

i heard that if the language setting is in JP you avoid FSOD i havn't tried it because i'm still gettign familiarised with the cards :S

[EDIT] If you do change the language setting to JP it does stop fsod it just brings up a message like

i'm an american player. i would just like to say that one shouldn't rule out all americans as being dumb fucks. I'll admit that most of the people that you have seen don't put up a good show. There are still some americans like me out there that actually play the game and dont just sit around and act like total fags all day.

When I first went online on EP3 i remember there being a large influx of european players and their anti-american comments, even on the US servers. So there CAN be hatred going both ways.

On the subject of fsoders, I really believe that these guys are really sad and enjoy bugging the heck out of people, in real life and otherwise. I also believe that all fsoders must be no older than 16/17, no offense to people these ages and below, but it seems there is a level of maturity (or lack of) that seems to accompany these guys. They are idiots, plain and simple. It dosent help that you can fsod on EP3 now, way to scare away the few who actually play ep3!


There is a small group of players who are almost always available, you just gotta find out what time they play. I noticed after around 3pm PST and later, theres always someone to tourny with. At least thats what I see when my brother plays at that time (Kazeh, ur probably reading this too, sup foo!).

Best hint ever, if u ever find someone to play with, get their guild card asap, its a lot easier to search and find friends than going in each lobby looking for someone.
