First: a little backstory.

My mother, step father, aunt, uncle, and their friends go to Myrtle beach every summer.
This leaves me alone for ten days with the copious amounts of sugary foods left by my mother.

Last year
I taught myself three new complex juggling tricks. When that was done, I learned how to spin my quarterstaff in a menacing way.

This year
I have taken out the lego that i played with 13 years ago.

After fishing out most of the lego men and accessories, a plan bloomed in my head. A plan so nerdy, it just might work!

I began to conceptualize a tactics game using "Tactics: Ogre" as a vague starting point. While i constructed the 3D playing board (that is now about 25 by 25 inches) more thoughts came to mind.

The game (as of now) has aspects of "Tactics: Ogre", "Magic: the Gathering", and a little bit of my own madness. I already have 11 pages of character (9 seperate characters, each with unique skills) and item (24 weapons, 20 armors, 45 special items- all with unique properties) information >_< .

Wow. That's a bunch of free time...I once designed a battlefield for FFTA...with lego. But I'd never do anything like what you're doing.

That makes me want to mosaic-ize various items from my Nintendo games. Ah, the nostalgia!

I don't really think it's an RPG. You play no role, and the characters act as units.

I could have really used some of those base plates... I had to make some creative additions when my large flat pieces ran out.

I used to make my own Shining Force battles using legoes.
The horses would work quite well as centaurs... >_>

Also made in my spare time, back in the day, various games similar to marble madness using marbles :|

Hm..

Army Men/Gi Joes + Uno Cards and/or a deck and you get turn based battling!

Dude... have you seen my title?

I've created:

A Final Fantasy Tactics board game.

A Resident Evil Roleplaying Game.

A Chrono Trigger Roleplaying Game.

A near-perfect Dragonball Roleplaying Game.

A Final Fantasy Collection Roleplaying Game.

A katana and handgun out of cardboard. The gun has a removable clip and can be cocked back.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg, my friends. Tip of the iceberg.

Yup. And the katana was for my Crono costume.

And actually, I made a sword and shield for my Link costume, but that wasn't as fancy.

The better question is, "Why?"

What, you have something against Crono?

Actually, I love Chrono Trigger to death and I'm jealous that you have a costume of crono. :B
