There are two movie songs i absolutely love.

One comes from the "Bride of Chucky" movie. It's the song that plays while jennifer tilly is sittin' on top of the box she just stuffed her dead boyfriend in. It goes "i'm crazy for cryin' and crazy for trying, and i'm crazy for loving you"

awww... it's called "Crazy" and its by the Kidneythieves.

My all-time favorite movie song comes from SILENCE OF THE LAMBS!! yeah!!! it's the song that plays while buffalo bill is in his room puttin' on some make-up and dancing infront of the camera.

It's called "goodbye horses" and it's by Q Lazzarus.

I command you all to go download those two!!

What are your favorite movie songs?

Would I be terribly cliche I said The Imperial March and The Emperor's Theme?

[EDIT: Right, it doesn't like that character. (the accented e)]

Kidneytheieves? O_O That's an interesting name...and they did a cover of a Patsy Cline song...*wonders what kind of music this is*

My favorite movie songs are "Come What May" from Moulin Rouge and "You Can't Stop Me" from Gen-X Cops.

Oh they so rock!! The lead singer is this punk/goth girl with an amazing voice. She doesn't sound girly, she's got this harsher, yet KICKASS voice..hehe... if you saw "Queen of the Damned" they played the very last song in the movie the one that goes.. um..."blah blah blah, reminds me of what to do before i'm dead"

I'd have to say "I Can Go The Distance" from Hercules. (you know the Disney one?) I used to knwo all the words, that song is extra inspirational.

nooo, i don't worship the devil!! not at all.
I believe in god, i just don't like organized religion. My parents, my babysitter... basically everyone tried to force me into their religion when i was little, and i'm kinda bitter towards organized religion now.

I don't sacrifice animals (i'm a vegetarian, lol)

and as far as music goes, i've always been more focused on lyrics, rather than sound. It just happens to be that some of my favorite bands have really deep esoteric lyrics, not like nsync or all this other stuff floating around on mtv right now.

I don't listen to marilyn manson, i think he's a pretty freaky guy with a bunch of issues, and his music is NOT gothic.

-TRUE- gothic music is very melodic, not loud.. it has really sort of sad sounding vocals. Some goth bands you might want to look up are Switchblade Symphony, Bauhaus, Big Electric Cat.... you'll see it's a lot different to what people associate with goth.

if you have any questions, feel free to ask me. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

"Angel's Eye" from Charlie's Angels (never saw that movie, but that song kicks ass). And, of course, it's by Aerosmith...

I loved all of the songs in Dancer in the Dark. The again, I just plain love Bjork.

The music from The Nightmare Before Christmas was really good, too.

w00t! Goth Gurl you're my new buddy. I absolutely LOVE Zerospace- Kidney Thieves. I admit I never heard of them UNTIL Queen of the Damned, that end song, but I fell in love wiht her voice and went out and bought hte soundtrack...and bought the single of Zerospace, tehn waited a month for the actual cd of Zerospace to come out. Crazy is on there as well, and I have to agree I like her remake of it myself ^_^ Its funny I just didnt think hardly anyone else knew of Kidney Thieves, it rocks that someone else does http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif ~day has been made~

They came here to san diego a big back, but it was 21 and up http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif <sniffle>

I got zerospace soon after that, and i also got the Bride of Chucky Soundtrack. When i found out they were going to be on Queen of the Damned, i was so totally psyched. LOL <gets all giddy just remembering>

Omar, you make me laugh sometimes XD

Atleast your open and honest!

My fav movie song...hmmm. I don't watch movies, unless it's anime. I'd have to say if its for an anime movie, it'd be "Mononoke Hime", and if it were for an anime series, it would be "Gessekai" from Night Walker:The Midnight Detective(its playing right now!), which is about a vampire detective http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif

since you brought up the topic of anime songs... did anyone ever watch sailor moon enough to remember that one song (in english) that plays in the background when Darrien first finds out Serena is the moon princess, and queen beryl had just hurt him? it goes "There will come a day, somewhere far away, in your heart i'll stay my only love"

hehe.. i used to love that song when i was in 8th grade. And sailor neptunes japanese transformation song rules. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

*sniffs* I smell emmy!

But serisouly, the best music or song in a movie is all the music from Glory, gotta here it. You gotta see the last scene in Glory about the invasion of Ft. Wagner and the music behind it is perfect.

I'm just hoping no one takes offense to my saying "Springtime for Hitler" and the overture version for Mel Brook's "The Producers". Using his name could damage me, but I'm still gonna take a chance.

I thought the song at the end of "The Legend" the one that starred Tom Cruise was pretty awesome. That scene was friggn' good too, with the whole gang waving.

some of the older gothic stuff ive heard ( im not a goth or dress like one by the way)

is kind of pop music like without being all sappy and crap like pop music is. it hard to explain what it sounded like.

and i know some proper goths and they r normal ppl to talk to. what gets me is these new wannabe goths who r just plain weird.

In the Macross Plus movie, I really liked the scene with Sharon Apple flying across the city with the song "Be an Angel" playing. It still gives me goosebumps.

I can't really think of any others right now, specifically.

(My god, I'm a nerd.)

Yeah, I remember that song. It fit the scene way better than the music they used in the Japanese version (which was just the instrumental version of "Moonlight Densetsu" - lame). The two versions feel totally different, which shows how powerful music can be to manipulate your mood. So jaded I am, yes.

Yeah, that's one of the more decent pieces of Japanese Sailor Moon music. Another good one is Hotaru's theme; I think it's called "Holy Grail." The rest of it sounds a little too much like game show music. Door number 1? A NEW CAR!!!
