View Full Version : Stupid finger...

Subliminalgroove

While in a roda last night, I caught my middle finger on my right hand in a nail sticking up from one of the floor boards. Its stitch-worthy, but the stitches would only rip out through normal use of the finger. Now it hurts like hell when I forget that I shouldn't type with it and end up using it. Its driving me mad.

GRRRR! Just wanted to be angry about it.

Stitch worthy? x_x
Sound slike something you might want to get looked at, regardless of whether stitches are actually put in.

Hope it heals quickly...

Its well cleaned and wouldn't be the first time I ignored something that needed stitches. I just keep it clean. It has stopped bleeding completely early this morning, so that's good.

acctually, I took a picture of it...

Looking at the the gash... it looks like it wouldn't have been as bad if I had planted my hand like I should have. I hope that the mistake in form was a result of me reacting to the nail tearing though my finger and not a habit. It shouldn't be, I've been doing Capoeria for years and most people aren't a match for me in the roda... I would hope I would have the rudiments down... http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

Ouch. I feel for you.

I had something less severe last night.

I reached for a plastic bag that got away from my clumsy self and did it forcefully and pulled back my thumbnail quite a bit on some damn "stucko walls" outside of my workplace last night.

Hurt like hell and I threw a tantrum but I'm ok now.

I forgot about it as well like your situation. I proceeded to play some PSO which I hadn't done in some time, but it hurt like hell to press buttons. Told a friend if there's any time to beat me at any game: Smash Bros:Melee, Street Fighter, Marvel vs. Capcom, anything, now's the time!

Hope that fingah heals up in due time, actually in a much faster time than normally would. Just because.

Ah, thanks, babe.

Edit: It usually is bandaged up pretty well, Kafka. OR do you mean tape my fingers before I train or spar? I did for a while, but I just don't like it, I feel I have more control and grip with bare skin.

Yep, and bare skin can harden over time. If you work your hands enough.

all i can say is find some vitamin E-pills.., break the capsules off, and put the contents of the vitamin E pill onto the exposed wound, let it get air and every 2 and a half hours do that. I promise you within a day or two you'll notice dramatic diffrences in your wound...dramatic..

Its already looking better. Lots of antibacterial cream... soaking it in alcohol... and bandages. Its doing alot better. I tend to heal fast anyway.

True, but thats really to an extreme.

Swordplay is really rough on the hands, but mine aren't leather http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

And I suppose this was in the wrong context, even if she had taped her hands, the tape would have torn as well, and the cut would stille exist.

gloves are out of the question, so nobody even bring them up.
