Uncle can't believe he shelled out $30 for this piece of shit.

The controls are awful on this version, so awful...and the dreaded glitchy camera is back too.

Sure, the rail grinding idea was a great concept, but hot damn the controls suck. When you want to jump off a rail or jump onto the rail next to you, it's random if you actually are successful or if you just plunge into an eternal darkness and have to restart the whole level if you want to get an A-rank.

And Sonic never fights Eggman. Not once...what kind of Sonic game is this?!

Oh, and let's move onto the Chao raising. Umkel raised a neutral run type chao. All goes well until Umkel gives his Chao a few birds, it looks like his chao is now permanently a fucking neutral run FLY chao.

Let's see. 10 birds, hundreds or thousands of running animals. Uncle's chao turns into a neutral run fly type, what the fuck? He even went as far as doing the "animal trick" with run type animals to get his chao back to normal, no luck.

Fuck you, SonicTeam. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_nono.gif

http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif Sonic Adventure 2 Battle was one of the best and most entertaining games I've ever played! The memories of my first game on the game cube... I put so much time into that game. So much fun. Chao are annoying to raise, but you have no choice if you want to get all the emblems. Ranks A's are easy to obtain, though the only character I've done all with is Knuckles. As for sonic not fighting egg man, that annoyed me too, but you have to remember Shadow kind of replaced eggman as the main villan in the game, so Sonic fought him.

I got all 180 emblems. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif
I can play the revamped Green Hill stage, until my DC or my memory card with the game file dies. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

I hate glitchy cameras, though there are bunch of weird things that you can do in that game where you can skip an entire section of a stage.

I though Sonic Heroes was glitchy as well. First game I know where I was running and suddenly I fell right through a solid platform to my death. x_x

That's what you get for playing DC ports on GC, Uncle. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Really, I didn't think it was THAT bad. It was kinda glitchy and outdated at times, but it was still fun. Multimode and Chao raising is always fun. Single player was really annoying sometimes, I only did it for my Chao...

Oh Alan! Edward! Link! My poor babeh Chao. <3

Out of the 3 GC Sonic Games (the 2 ports and Heroes), SA2B is the only one that is even close to being worth the money. I actually liked it better than DX, and much more than heroees.

As for the other two... if you can get it at a budget price, go for it. Heroes definitely deserves a $20 price tag

I also got the 180 Emblems... three times. 2 on DC, 1 on GC. Now, it is so easy for me, that it is no longer a challengue... except the Chao raising. I leave that parto to a friend of mine that loves it.

And if you dont get to jump from bar to bar when grinding, Uncle, I got to say, it's YOUR fault. Very very very very very very very very very rarely I have missed such a jump because a glitch or crappy controls. In fact, I think the controls are pretty good enough.

Hah, not likely. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_nono.gif Uncle can mash the analog stick as hard as he can in the direction he wants to jump and it will:

A. Fsck up and not even jump when Uncle presses the jump button.
B. Lag; jumping a few seconds after Uncle presses the jump button.
C. Uncle gets lucky and jumps where he wants. Perfectly, infact.

AMEN! Sonic Adventure beats the crap out of even the classic ones. One of the more enjoyble games, period, IMO. SA2 = crap, and SH = worst Sonic game to date.

Well, I only played Sonic Adventure 2 on Dreamcast. I really enjoyed the game, though. I even didn't mind the glitchy camera that much except for the platforming parts with Sonic. I had a problem with that in the first Adventure title as well. He moves too fast for short platforming jumps to work well.

But yeah... the Tails/Eggman levels just got boring. If they had been like the E-102 levels in Sonic Adventure and emphasized more on running and gunning than needless platforming, they would've been more fun. I loved the fast-paced action of the E-102 levels, but ones from SA2 were just bad.

And the Knuckles/Rouge levels were annoying as well, but I think that could've been solved if they were just smaller. I didn't mind the Knuckles levels in Sonic Adventure nearly as much.

I gotta say, though... I didn't do like any of the Chao stuff in either game. Oh well.

But, uh... people? Sonic 3 & Knuckles is THE best Sonic game, hands down. Sonic Adventure was great, but nothing beats S3&K.

Yeah, I do like SA1 over SA2. I just don't like to play as Tails in SA2 in that thing, that's one of the reasons.

Practically the only thing that SA2 have better than SA1 is the graphics. No Adventure Fields...? And I don't really care for Shadow... Look at the fine Genesis days without that character!

I loved SA1, SA2 was my fav until SA2:B came out. I don't mind the glitchy camera at ALL. I love SA2B and I don't know what you guys are talking about. SA2B owns all others. In my opinion of course. Feel free to disagree but I will always love this game.

It is not only about the glitchy camera. I can't go in depth, so I'll just say this: we all have our preferences. Read Outrider's post, that sums it all up for me, most of it.

I find SA2:B was better than SA1 because it lacked those damn Adventure Fields. They were no fun anyways.

Oh yeah, and no Big. What were they smoking when they thought a fat cat who fishes would be fun? The Gamma stages were the best, BTW http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I agree with you there, but I always have to wonder. Why is Tails so much slower than Eggman?!! It's the weirdest thing.

That's the only replayable element in the SA series... unless you count doing the same stages 5 times over... or the countless times to get all A Ranks.

And now we know 2 reason's SH sucked: Glitchy and no Chao Garden http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

I prefer SA2 over SA1:

-No adventure fields (THANK FUCKING GOD)
-Really improved graphics
-Better Chao Garden System
-In my opinion, the SA2 story is far better
-SA2 seemed to have a better speed sensation.
-And various other things I cant remember now XP

And you people can shoot me too, but I also think SH is not that bad, just very cruel. VERY cruel.

And let's not forget the rest of the worthless and/or over-camoed Sonic characters as well... Amy, Cream, Big the Cat...

Why do they continue to cameo Big The Cat? I mean, come on... NOBODY likes Big The Cat.

They just can't make a 3-D game right. Is it too much to expect no glitches? I don't think so...

Sonic needs to be put down, or stuffed in cold storage until ST can get it right. He can take the retarded characters made for the Adventure series with him >_>

ST thought process for the next Sonic game:
employee 1 "Hmmm... What if we give him a sword?"
employee 2 "Yeah, and his side kick can be a talking worm!"
employee 1 "Or a raptor!"
employee 2 "Or a raptor-worm!!!"
employee 1 "And he can be searching for his lost..."
employee 2 "Crystal calculator!"
employee 1 "Now we need a plot twist..."
employee 2 "How about the calculator is really Shadow?"
employee 1 "No, Robo-Shadow!"
employee 2 "We may as well throw in some chaos emeralds for the hell of it"
employee 3 "shouldn't we fix those gameplay problems?
employee 2 "STFU n00b!"

Ok, first off... I HATE how Sonic looks in Sonic Adventure 2. He's way too elongated. He looked so much better in the first Sonic Adenture, I don't even know where to start.

And I loved the adventure fields. Sure, they were pointless, but I'm a fan of just loading up a game and screwing around. It's much easier to do that in adventure games when there's free-roaming areas. Therefore, I needs my fieldses.

But the game was fine without them. I'm just saying I wouldn't mind if they were put back in.

I remember when I used to go to a Sonic board, one of the big things lots of people would discuss is what would happen if Nintendo and Sega collaborated on the next 3D Sonic game. (Or maybe I was just interested in it. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif ) I think it would be quite interesting. Like it or not, Nintendo is pretty much the king of adventure games. If you could just get some of those people to help out Sega to iron out the glitches and the parts that aren't fun at all, a 3D Sonic game could be excellent.

Yes.... Sonic has strayed so far from it's roots that it simply is not Sonic anymore. It's like a whole different series now. One could say the same about Final Fantasy.

Right, that was a major argument against. That's why in my suggestion, it would pretty much just be as... consultants? I guess that's what I'm thinking of.

For instance, I'm sure Nintendo would've had the bright idea to either completely remove the boring Tails/Eggman shooting levels or at least spruce them up to be more fun.

I hate any 3d sonic game. Sonic adventure 2 was a little good but not that great and the only reason it took me 2 hours to beat the final boss was because of the glitches. I think the voice actors were ok and i was glad there was no big the cat. For some reason, i don't know why the insist on making that dumb, retarded no life having, obese cat that none likes as a cameo in games. What sonic team needs to do is to make a new 2D sonic game with 3d enviroments and anime cutscnes and with a well thought out story theat excludes Big and E102(Or any look a likes).......hmmmmm Shadow can stay.

I preferred the adventure fields too; I liked the ability to just sort of wander around for a little bit. But you can still sorta do that in the Chao gardens in SA2, so it's not a big loss in my opinion.

SA2 is still enjoyable to play; I dig it out every once in a while (don't have the GC version, just the Dreamcast one). It's been forever since I played the original Sonic Adventure, but I recall having a much easier time with the controls in SA2; obviously the camera didn't get fixed, but I could deal with that, mostly. Kickass music, and the voice acting was passable, as opposed to the... er... acting? in Sonic Heroes. Only thing I didn't like was having to pilot that huge walker as Tails (and Eggman, but I never liked him anyway); I mean, come on, I wanted to zip around and fly places like I could in the Chao garden! I know you couldn't GO anywhere in the garden, but... but... Tails is so cute outside of his robot! ;_;

Anyway, yeah. If none of that applies, just play the game for the cathartic experience of throwing Omochao over cliffs and whatnot. Now that's entertainment. ^_^

I preferred ACTUALLY controlling TAILS HIMSELF, I didnt mind SA2 and SA2B, I liked getting 99 lives on the final time you fight Shadow/Sonic.

But Amy was also in other games, I think she appeared in Sonic CD.
