I somehow always pictured FKL as something from the Lion King. Frink sits atop Pride Rock with a sniper rifle (he would only venture down to stab people when absolutely necessary) looking down on us while we go about our daily lives in the FKL wastelands promised lands. He'll also protect us from the evils within the Banlands.

the only problem would be getting lines to match up between individual square. Now, of course, we could just leave the edges of our squares blank, but having a bunch of landforms in a square like pattern isn't exactly LoTRish, as it obviously doesn't look like someone drew a graph and then drew pictures in the squares.

Would need a world/overall template so the ground is a universal color. Could have large Oceans swamps and stuff though as long as every knows where they are. Then people would have to come and assign areas they want to place their stuff on. Then who evers got the master copy and Photoshop or watever just cut paste everyones stuff onto it. when its done.
